Study on Characteristics of the Wheelchair-User Combination  [PDF]

To summarize the characteristics of wheelchair-user combination, this paper studied wheelchairs, wheelchair users, nursing staffs and interaction relationship between them. Firstly, the findings of some research on wheelchairs and wheelchair users were investigated, and the studies in four aspects of wheelchairs and their accessories, wheelchair users, wheelchairs and wheelchair users (man-machine system), and skills training for the performance of wheelchair were reviewed. Then “wheelchair-user combination” was put forward based on the relationship between wheelchairs and wheelchair users in real life, and the “wheelchair-user combination” was divided into “WUs-Ws system” and “WUs-Ws-NSs system” according to whether the nursing staffs were needed. Finally, this paper analytically studied the characteristics of wheelchair users, characteristics in use of wheelchair and characteristics of nursing staffs, as well as put forward the characteristics of the wheelchair-user combination.

Abstract: A dynamic game model of reputation with incomplete information on cooperation between employees and companies in probation period and formal work stage is established. By using reputation theory of Kreps and Willson, Milgrom and Roberts, the decision-making process of employees in probation period and formal work stage and the reputation incentive effect to employees’ cooperation with companies are also analyzed. At last, two suggestions are given from this study: Firstly, companies should strengthen the probation period management; Secondly, companies should use reputation effect to motivate their employees to cooperate with them in their formal work stage.
Comparison of Lesion Detection and Quantification in MAP Reconstruction with Gaussian and Non-Gaussian Priors

Abstract: Statistical image reconstruction methods based on maximum a posteriori (MAP) principle have been developed for emission tomography. The prior distribution of the unknown image plays an important role in MAP reconstruction. The most commonly used prior are Gaussian priors, whose logarithm has a quadratic form. Gaussian priors are relatively easy to analyze. It has been shown that the effect of a Gaussian prior can be approximated by linear filtering a maximum likelihood (ML) reconstruction. As a result, sharp edges in reconstructed images are not preserved. To preserve sharp transitions, non-Gaussian priors have been proposed. However, their effect on clinical tasks is less obvious. In this paper, we compare MAP reconstruction with Gaussian and non-Gaussian priors for lesion detection and region of interest quantification using computer simulation. We evaluate three representative priors: Gaussian prior, Huber prior, and Geman-McClure prior. We simulate imaging a prostate tumor using positron emission tomography (PET). The detectability of a known tumor in either a fixed background or a random background is measured using a channelized Hotelling observer. The bias-variance tradeoff curves are calculated for quantification of the total tumor activity. The results show that for the detection and quantification tasks, the Gaussian prior is as effective as non-Gaussian priors.
Man-Machine Functional Dimension Design of Riding Equipment in Subway Passenger Compartments

Abstract: 为探讨乘客身材特征对地铁客室中乘坐设备功能尺寸设计的影响,运用人机工程学以人为中心的实验和相关分析法展开研究.围绕人的生理结构、心理尺度和乘坐设备的功能属性等因素,结合压力分布实验、虚拟仿真技术和主观评价分析,对人与地铁座椅和扶手之间的功能尺寸配置关系进行了测试与分析.研究结果表明:座椅腰靠纵向外凸圆弧的曲率半径为186 mm、座垫横向内凹圆弧的曲率半径为785 mm时更贴近人体坐姿的生理曲度和满足乘坐的舒适性要求;扶手的吊环高度设置在1 710 mm、横杆高度设置在1 860 mm时能够分别保障不同身材的乘客的使用需求,并能满足适用性、安全性和通行性之间的平衡.
:A human-centred experiment and ergonomic correlation-analysis approach was adopted to investigate the impact of passenger body size on the functional dimension design of riding equipment in subway passenger compartments. Subsequently, the relationship between the functional dimension configuration among passengers, subway seats, and handrails was tested and analysed based on human physiological structure, psychological endurance, and functional properties of riding equipment. This was achieved by combining a pressure distribution experiment with virtual simulation technology and subsequent subjective evaluation and analysis. Results demonstrate that when the curvature radius of the backrest outer convex arc measures 186 mm while that of the cushion inner concave arc measures 785 mm, seat surface closely matches the physiological curvature of the body-sitting posture, thereby meeting the requirements of riding comfort. Also, when the height of handrail rings and that of cross rods are set as 1 710 mm and 1 860 mm, respectively, handrail height meets usage requirements of passengers having different bodies sizes as well as that of balance between applicability, safety, and accessibility
Study of Interplanetary Magnetic Field with Ground State Alignment

Abstract: We demonstrate a new way of studying interplanetary magnetic field -- Ground State Alignment (GSA). Instead of sending thousands of space probes, GSA allows magnetic mapping with any ground telescope facilities equipped with spectropolarimeter. The polarization of spectral lines that are pumped by the anisotropic radiation from the Sun is influenced by the magnetic realignment, which happens for magnetic field (<1G). As a result, the linear polarization becomes an excellent tracer of the embedded magnetic field. The method is illustrated by our synthetic observations of the Jupiter's Io and comet Halley. Polarization at each point was constructed according to the local magnetic field detected by spacecrafts. Both spatial and temporal variations of turbulent magnetic field can be traced with this technique as well. The influence of magnetic field on the polarization of scattered light is discussed in detail. For remote regions like the IBEX ribbons discovered at the boundary of interstellar medium, GSA provides a unique diagnostics of magnetic field.

Abstract: Displacement efficiency is an important index of water drive oilfield. This article takes water drive oilfield as the object to analyze the influence factors of displacement efficiency in limit water cut stage of water drive oilfield. The displacement efficiency experimental data of 99 cores which come from 65 development wells of 34 oilfields have been collected. The authors use the method of multiple linear regression analysis to establish a new empirical formula of displacement efficiency. The relative error of the empirical formula is less than 7% compared to the experimental data.

Abstract: With ecological principals, the outbreak situations of rice migratory pests, (brownplant hopper Nilaparvata lugens (Stal ), white-backed planthopper Sogatella furcifera(Horvdth) and rice leaf-folder Cnaphalocrocis medinalis Guenee) in China, were analyzed. It isexpounded that the area and regions in which rice attacked by those pests have been expendedin recent 10 to 20 years and that the outbreaks have frequently taken place and the populationinfesting rice has gone up throughout the country since 1970' s.They were closely related with(1) the pests' fecundity conditions in immigrant sources,with (2) productive level of ricewhich provides the pests with an improved crop environment, and with (3) abnormal climaticevents and/or weather features such as warmer winter, stronger west pacific subtropical Highand El Nino phenomenon. Some strategies for overall management were recommended.
On fossil remains of Early Pleistocene tapir (Perissodactyla, Mammalia) from Fanchang, Anhui

Abstract: The materials of Tapirus from Renzidong,Fanchang, Anhui Province, are the best ones among the early most Pleistocene findings in China up to now, not only in richness, but also in completeness. The fossils contain complete tooth rows of both the upper and the lower, as well as most parts of the postcranial skeletons. These materials are very helpful in understanding the evolutionary level of this kind of animal. In morphology, the materials from Fanchang appear to be very similar to Tapirus sanyuanensis, and can be placed within this species. The materials from Fanchang provided sound evidence to distinguish the Early Pleistocene tapirs and the living form Tapirus indicus. As to the geological distribution, it can be tentatively concluded that Tapirus sanyuanensis and Tapirus sinensis only appeared in Early Pleistocene, Megatapirus appeared after Early Pleistocene,and lasted until Holocene. The Early Pleistocene tapirs of South China resemble Megatapirus more closely than Tapirus indicus.
