Dependency based Technique for Identifying the Ripple Effect of Requirements Evolution
YuQing Yan,Shixian Li,Weijun Sun
Journal of Software , 2012, DOI: 10.4304/jsw.7.3.544-550
Abstract: Requirements evolve continuously and inevitably. In order to effectively manage requirements change, an understa- nding from a quantitative perspective is needed in determining the extent of the propagation of the requirements as they evolve. In this paper, we first look back at the impact analysis in the software life cycle and give an overview of requirements dependencies. We present a generic algorithm for identifying requirements dependencies and the definitions that are adopted for this study.Using matrix theory on the requirements dependencies, we present the formulas of the ripple effects of requirements evolution and their properties. A typical example in structured analysis of M.Jackson is described to show the effectiveness of the method presented here.
Optimal unambiguous discrimination between subsets of non-orthogonal quantum states
Yuqing Sun,Janos A. Bergou,Mark Hillery
Physics , 2001, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevA.66.032315
Abstract: It is known that unambiguous discrimination among non-orthogonal but linearly independent quantum states is possible with a certain probability of success. Here, we consider a variant of that problem. Instead of discriminating among all of the different states, we shall only discriminate between two subsets of them. In particular, for the case of three non-orthogonal states, we show that the optimal strategy to distinguish between a set containing one of the states from the set containing the other two has a higher success rate than if we wish to discriminate among all three states. Somewhat surprisingly, for unambiguous discrimination the subsets need not be linearly independent. A fully analytical solution is presented, and we also show how to construct generalized interferometers (multiports) that provide an optical implementation of the optimal strategy.
Optimum unambiguous discrimination among linearly-independent non-orthogonal quantum states and its optical realization
Yuqing Sun,Mark Hillery,Janos Bergou
Physics , 2000, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevA.64.022311
Abstract: The problem of unambiguously distinguishing among nonorthogonal but linearly independent quantum states can be solved by mapping the set of nonorthogonal quantum states onto a set of orthogonal ones, which can then be distinguished without error. Such nonunitary transformations can be performed conditionally on quantum systems; a unitary transformation is carried out on a larger system of which the system of interest is a subsytem, a measurement is performed, and if the proper result is obtained, the desired nonunitary transformation will have been performed on the subsystem. We show how to construct generalized interferometers (multiports), which when combined with measurements on some of the output ports, implement nonunitary transformations of this type. The input states are single-photon states in which the photon is divided among several modes. A number of explicit examples of distinguishing among three nonorthogonal states are discussed, and the networks that optimally distinguish among these states are presented.

Advances in Bioscience and Biotechnology (ABB) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/abb.2017.89020
Abstract: An experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary pyridoxine on the gene expression of appetite-regulating peptides in the hypothalamus and gastrointestinal tract of rabbits. Thirty-two rabbits were randomly divided into 2 treatments for 8 weeks (16 replicates/group and 1 rabbit/replicate). The treatments were fed a basal diet (control, measured pyridoxine content is 4.51 mg/kg) and the basal diet with a pyridoxine supplementation at 10 mg/kg (pyridoxine, measured pyridoxine content is 14.64 mg/kg). The results showed that dietary pyridoxine did not significantly alter the mRNA levels of neuropeptide Y, agouti related peptide, pro-opiomelanocortin and cocaine, amphetamine regulated transcript, peptide YY and cholecystokinin in arcuate nucleus, peptide YY in jejunum and ileum, and cholecystokinin in duodenum, jejunum and ileum (P > 0.05). Compared with the control, the mRNA levels of corticotropin-releasing hormone and melanocortin 4 receptor in paraventricular nuclei and peptide YY in duodenum were significantly decreased after pyridoxine treatment (P < 0.05). In conclusion, the appetite genes of melanocortin 4 receptor and corticotropin-releasing hormone in paraventricular nuclei and peptide YY in duodenum are involved in the pyridoxine-caused hyperphagia.
How the Sunday Publication of City Daily Create the Fine Column —Take the Example of Morning Post “QI Investigation”  [PDF]
Yuqing Xiao
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2015.36023
Abstract: In the Chinese newspaper structure, City daily has always occupied the major portion, with its fresh content, civilian view, reformational and innovative form. This paper takes the thematic content in 2014 Shanghai City daily “Morning Post” Sunday publication “QI Investigation” column as the example to analyze how the city daily Sunday publication creates the quality column. The author thinks that how can they manage doing it is because of the fact that the city daily Sunday publication can record the culture of the city and the live pictures of the common people from a “civilian taste” perspective.
Development Path for Regional City News in Merge Medias  [PDF]
Yuqing Xiao
Voice of the Publisher (VP) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/vp.2015.11005
Abstract: With the development of communication technology, media integration has been a main trend in today’s media development. As the active Metropolitan news in the reform of Chinese newspaper industry, it is worth exploring how to survive and develop under the background of media convergence. The writer thinks different Metropolitan news with different cultural backgrounds and media powers has different integration features. The article regarded “Yunnan information news” digital 2015 redesign as the observed sample to analyze the development path of regional metropolis daily in the background of media integration.
Explorative Study on Henry Luce’s Idea of Journal Editing  [PDF]
Yuqing Xiao
Open Journal of Social Sciences (JSS) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jss.2015.312001
Abstract: As the founder of TIME, FORTUNE and LIFE, Henry Luce changed people’s way of news consumption and their view of the world. The idea concept of “news magazine” initiated by Luce is very popular among the middle class. His idea of journal editing has influenced a large number of followers. This paper sorts and studies Henry Luc’s idea of journal editing in order to inspire editors of modern newspapers and periodicals.
The Evolution of Distribution of Technology Transfer in China: Evidence from Patent Licensing  [PDF]
Yuqing Cai
American Journal of Industrial and Business Management (AJIBM) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ajibm.2018.85084
Abstract: This study explores the temporal and spatial distribution of technology transfer in China by analyzing the licensing activities from the perspective of supplier and demander of the technology transfer chain, using the data obtained from the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO). We find that the overall number of licensed technologies has increased dramatically during 10 years and different types of technology show diverse trends. And the technology age is declining year by year, among which the age of invention patents is the oldest. As licensors, individuals and firms provide the vast majority of outward technologies and most of their technologies are utility models. However, only firms take the vast majority as licensee. And most inward technologies come from foreign organizations before 2008, while domestic sources provide the majority of inward technologies after 2008. We also provide suggestions for policy-makers and firms.
