Research on Control Strategy of 2-phase Interleaving Magnetic Integrated VRM  [PDF]

A kind of 2-phase interleaving coupled magnetic integrated VRM is studied and the corresponding passivity-based control strategy is put forward. The model of this kind of magnetic integrated VRM is constructed, and the performance of this 2-phase interleaving magnetic integrated VRM of passivity-based control is verified by simulation experiments. The results proved that this kind of passivity-based control strategy can decrease the steady state current ripple and the dynamic output voltage under load disturbance.

Integrated Assessment of Heavy Metal Contamination in Sediments from a Coastal Industrial Basin, NE China

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of metal pollution of the sediments from urban-stream, estuary and Jinzhou Bay of the coastal industrial city, NE China. Forty surface sediment samples from river, estuary and bay and one sediment core from Jinzhou bay were collected and analyzed for heavy metal concentrations of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, Ni and Mn. The data reveals that there was a remarkable change in the contents of heavy metals among the sampling sediments, and all the mean values of heavy metal concentration were higher than the national guideline values of marine sediment quality of China (GB 18668-2002). This is one of the most polluted of the world’s impacted coastal systems. Both the correlation analyses and geostatistical analyses showed that Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd have a very similar spatial pattern and come from the industrial activities, and the concentration of Mn mainly caused by natural factors. The estuary is the most polluted area with extremely high potential ecological risk; however the contamination decreased with distance seaward of the river estuary. This study clearly highlights the urgent need to make great efforts to control the industrial emission and the exceptionally severe heavy metal pollution in the coastal area, and the immediate measures should be carried out to minimize the rate of contamination, and extent of future pollution problems.

Dynamics between Cancer Cell Subpopulations Reveals a Model Coordinating with Both Hierarchical and Stochastic Concepts

Abstract: Tumors are often heterogeneous in which tumor cells of different phenotypes have distinct properties. For scientific and clinical interests, it is of fundamental importance to understand their properties and the dynamic variations among different phenotypes, specifically under radio- and/or chemo-therapy. Currently there are two controversial models describing tumor heterogeneity, the cancer stem cell (CSC) model and the stochastic model. To clarify the controversy, we measured probabilities of different division types and transitions of cells via in situ immunofluorescence. Based on the experiment data, we constructed a model that combines the CSC with the stochastic concepts, showing the existence of both distinctive CSC subpopulations and the stochastic transitions from NSCCs to CSCs. The results showed that the dynamic variations between CSCs and non-stem cancer cells (NSCCs) can be simulated with the model. Further studies also showed that the model can be used to describe the dynamics of the two subpopulations after radiation treatment. More importantly, analysis demonstrated that the experimental detectable equilibrium CSC proportion can be achieved only when the stochastic transitions from NSCCs to CSCs occur, indicating that tumor heterogeneity may exist in a model coordinating with both the CSC and the stochastic concepts. The mathematic model based on experimental parameters may contribute to a better understanding of the tumor heterogeneity, and provide references on the dynamics of CSC subpopulation during radiotherapy.
A possible Zpif’s law in the nuclear disassembly

Abstract: Zpif’s law in the field of linguistics is tested in the nuclear disassembly within the framework of isospin dependent lattice gas model. It is found that the average cluster charge (or mass) of rankn in the charge (or mass) list shows exactly an inverse order to its rank, i.e., Zpif’s law appears at the phase transition temperature. This novel criterion shall be helpful in searching the nuclear liquid gas phase transition.
Mixed QoS Controlled Wireless Streaming Media Transmission Strategy

Abstract: Streaming media applications is currently limited by high bandwidth requirements. It is a challenging problem to provide the required quality of service (QoS) for the efficient transmission of video data under the varying network conditions such as the time-varying packet loss and fluctuating bandwidth. On Internet the most important part for streaming media transmission application is QoS control mechanism which including two kinds of QoS control method, based on end to end and network. A wireless streaming media forward platform based on the mixed quality-of-service (QoS) control system is introduced in this paper. The theoretical knowledge related to the quality of service and mixed quality of service control of the feasibility and characteristics are analyzed, and introduced a comprehensive quality of service in theory. This system combines network control and end to end quality of service control. The network of the system is optimized to support quality of service, using the underlying network devices, network bandwidth optimization, network structure adapted to meet the both ends of the quality of service. At both ends, from the delay, jitter, etc. are adjusted, by the addition of the timestamp and other information on the dynamic adjustment of the speed of data transmission. Through improving the control of two ends QoS and media streaming forward server, the video streaming from ships on the sea is transferred to the Internet by microwave and then linked to common Internet and mobile phone users through carrier networks(wired and wireless), which realized the real time supervision.

In this paper we have choose three issues in “Statistics from the Ministry of Civil Affairs ” to do the multiple regression analysis. Finally, we found that the degree of villagers participation in the village’s affair and openness of administrative have an obviously affect on the degrees of approval to village officials of the villagers. As a result, we think the political participation have a magnificent influence on the valuation of political system.

Antiepileptic Potential of Matrine via Regulation the Levels of Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid and Glutamic Acid in the Brain

Abstract: Our present study aimed to determine the antiepileptic activity of matrine, and explore the possible molecular mechanism. To evaluate the antiepileptic activity of matrine, seizures in mice induced by PTZ and MES were established, then the pentobarbital sodium-induced anaesthetizing time and locomotor activity tests in mice were also carried out. For the molecular mechanism investigations, contents of aspartic acid (Asp), gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), glutamic acid (Glu), glycine (Gly) in seizures mice were determined; then, the chronic seizures rats induced by PTZ were prepared, and western blotting was used to determine the expressions of GAD 65, GABA A and GABA B in the brains. In the results, matrine showed significant antiepileptic effects on seizures mice induced by MES and PTZ. Moreover, the pentobarbital sodium-induced anaesthetizing time and locomotor activity tests were also demonstrated that matrine had obvious antiepileptic effects. Additionally, our results revealed that after treatment with matrine, contents of GABA can be elevated, and the contents of Glu were obviously decreased. Furthermore, western blotting revealed that the mechanism regarding the antiepileptic effect of may be related to the up-regulations of GAD 65 and GABA A in the brain. Collectively, we suggested that matrine can be developed as an effective antiseptic drug.
