Abstract: A novel energy-economic and environmentally benign technological procedure for chlorination of niobium and tantalum oxides as well as their low-grade ore concentrates was elaborated. The process is based on using carbon tetrachloride or silicon tetrachloride as a chlorinating agent under pressure. It proceeds at moderate temperatures and is free from the shortcomings of conventional carbochlorination processes such as the use of chlorine gas at very high temperatures and formation of toxic products and ozone depleting agents (phosgene, carbon monoxide, chlorohydrocarbons).

Finite Element Analysis of Sound Transmission Loss in One-Dimensional Solids  [PDF]

Abstract:

A higher-order acoustic-displacement based finite element procedure is presented in this paper to investigate one-dimensional sound propagation through a solid and the associated transmission loss. The acoustic system consists of columns of standard air and a solid, with the upstream column of air subjected to a sinusoidal sound source. The longitudinal wave propagation in each medium is modeled using three-node finite elements. At the interfaces between the air and the solid medium, the continuity in acoustic displacements and the force equilibrium conditions are enforced. The Lagrange multipliers method is utilized to assemble the global equations of motion for the acoustic system. Numerical results obtained for various test cases using the procedure described in the paper are in excellent agreement with the analytical solutions and other independent solutions available in the literature.

Abstract: This work presents method of the quality analyses of the photorealistic images. Developed method utilizes proposed criteria of image definition quality for fine details. Presented method has the following significant property: the quality estimation is provided without test images or patterns. Algorithm for search and recognition of fine structures in the photorealistic images using the predefined criterion is considered.

Influence of a Cryoplasmapheresis on a Microcirculation in Patients with a Diabetic Foot Syndrome

Abstract: Aim of investigation is assessment of the plasmapheresis different type use effectiveness for the microcirculation disturbance correction in patients with a diabetic foot syndrome.Materials and methods. A microcirculation was investigated with a use of a laser dopler flowmetry on the affected foot in two groups of patients with a diabetic foot syndrome prior and after a plasmapheresis course (2—3 procedures). A cryoplasmapheresis was made in experimental group, and a conventional one — in a control group.Results. It is revealed, that a cryoplasmapheresis improves the basic parameters of microcirculation on the affected extremity and intensifies the blood flow regulation active and passive factor influence in patients with a diabetic foot syndrome. A conventional plasmapheresis influence was insignificant.

About analysis of large problems of structural mechanics on multi-core computers

Abstract: The sparse direct solvers as well as iterative methods are considered for analysis of large-scale finite element problems of structural mechanics on multi-core computers. The parallel preconditioned conjugate gradient method, based on sparse incomplete Cholesky factoring “by value” approach, is presented. The efficiency of block substructure multifrontal method BSMFM, PARFES (Parallel Finite Element Solver), proposed iterative method PSICCG (Parallel Sparse Incomplete Cholesky Conjugate Gradient) and conventional ICCG0 method are compared. PARFES is proved much more effective than multifrontal method. When the amount of RAM is insufficient, the sparse direct methods produce lots of I/O operations, therefore, an iterative method is often more preferable.

Abstract: The aim of the article. The aim of the article is to study the role of society and organization innovative culture in the formation of a favorable environment for active transition to an innovative way of development; development of methodological principles of multifactor analysis of societys innovative culture and organization in their logical interrelation.The results of the analysis. The author has defined an extended set of factors that influence on realization of the main functions of society innovative culture (innovation, selection, translation), which the author considers as one of macroenvironment factors that creates favorable conditions for innovative development.Methodical principles of society innovative culture quantitative evaluation, including evaluation of its individual functions are developed. On this basis, the current state of innovative culture in Ukraine is estimated, and indicates its low level.Proved that innovative culture of the organization (company or institution) is part of innovative development potential and part of intellectual capital. It confirms a major role of innovative culture in forming the innovative and favorable environment of management. The relationship between innovative culture structural elements, intellectual capital and potential innovation are defined.Criteria base and methodical approach to the quantitative multifactor assessment of organization innovative culture are formed. It includes assessment of its individual components.Methodical approach to assessment of the innovativen culture of Sumy region innovative SMEs is approbated.Conclusions and directions of further researches. The results, conclusions and recommendations of the article allow concluding that the author developed a theoretical, methodological and methodical basis of societys innovative culture analysis. The author sees it as part of macroenvironment and internal innovative culture of the organization, and also as part of its innovation development potential. It provides a principal possibility reasonably plan and implement measures to control the formation of innovative culture at the level of innovative organization. It can be done in order to conform internal opportunities of external development generated by macro and micro factors of market, one of which is an innovative culture.
