Abstract:

Based on the arbitrary constant solution, a series of explicit doubly periodic solutions and triply periodic solutions for the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation are first constructed with the aid of the Darboux transformation method.

Pseudo Corporate Social Responsibility and Governance Mechanism  [PDF]
Yongmei Xu, Ying Liu
Journal of Service Science and Management (JSSM) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/jssm.2016.92017
Abstract: More and more enterprises are revealed to do something about pseudo social responsibility under the guise of social responsibility; it makes the rationality of the existence of experience of social responsibility a crisis of confidence. However, this phenomenon has not obtained the academic attention, and related studies are particularly scarce. On the basis of summarizing and combing existing literature, we defined pseudo corporate social responsibility, summarized the motivation of pseudo social responsibility in economic interests, the external environment, and the risk of exposed punishment, and described the harm of pseudo social responsibility from the micro and macro levels. Finally, we tried to put forward relevant policies to prevent pseudo social responsibility.
Order Aggressiveness on the ASX Market
Ying Xu
International Journal of Economics and Finance , 2009, DOI: 10.5539/ijef.v1n1p51
Abstract: This paper investigates how traders on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) market make their joint decision on price aggressiveness and quantity when they submit an order, based on information from limit order book and stock price movement. We use a simultaneous-equation system including an Ordered Probit model to account for the discrete nature of price aggressiveness and an OLS model to fit the continuous quantity. The results suggest a negative trade-off between price aggressiveness and quantity. Factors such as depths at the best quotes, bid-ask spread, volatility and price changes are major determinants of the traders’ order submission decision. This paper also provides evidence for a U-shaped intraday pattern of order flows and positive serial correlation in order type.
Chromaticity and optical spectrum colorimetry of the tongue color in different syndromes of primary hepatic carcinoma

Zhong Xi Yi Jie He Xue Bao , 2012,
Abstract: OBJECTIVE: In this study, the optical data of tongue color of different syndromes in primary hepatic carcinoma (PHC) were detected by optical spectrum colorimetry, and the chromaticity of tongue color was compared and analyzed. The tongue color characteristics of different syndromes in PHC and the relationship between different syndromes and tongue color were also investigated.METHODS: Tongue color data from 133 eligible PHC patients were collected by optical spectrum colorimetry and the patients were divided into 4 syndrome groups according to their clinical features. The syndrome groups were liver depression and spleen deficiency (LDSD), accumulation of damp-heat (ADH), deficiency of liver and kidney yin (DLKY), and qi stagnation and blood stasis (QSBS). The variation characteristics of chromaticity coordinates, dominant wavelength, excitation purity and the distribution in the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) LAB uniform color space were measured. At the same time, the differences of overall chromatism, clarity, chroma, saturation and hue were also calculated and analyzed.RESULTS: PHC patients in different syndrome groups exhibited differences in chromaticity coordinates. The dominant wavelength of QSBS was distinctly different from that of the other 3 syndromes. Excitation purity in the syndromes of LDSD, ADH and DLKY showed gradual increases (P<0.01). Different syndromes in the CIE LAB color three-dimensional space showed differences in tongue color distribution areas. The CIE hue-angle value of QSBS was negative, and different from that of the other 3 syndromes (P<0.01). CIE chroma in the syndromes of LDSD, ADH and DLKY showed gradual increases (P<0.01), the same as excitation purity. In the comparison of chromatism, tongue color variations in different syndromes were quantified by human observation.CONCLUSION: This study shows that tongue color diagnosis according to the syndrome classifications of traditional Chinese medicine can be quantified with optical spectrum colorimetry technology. Different syndromes in PHC exhibit distinct chromatisms of tongue color through the calculation and analysis of chromaticity parameters of CIE, combined with colorimetric system and CIE LAB color space, and these are consistent with the characteristics of clinical tongue color. Applying optical spectrum colorimetry technology to tongue color differentiation has the potential to serve as a reference point in standardizing traditional Chinese medicine syndrome classification in PHC.

Intertextuality and Translation of Poetry ------A Case Study
Ying XU
Canadian Social Science , 2009,
Abstract: This paper is intended to study translation from the viewpoint of “intertextuality”. By quoting Kristeva, Barthes and Hatim’s view of intertextuality, author works out a more applicable procedure for translator to render intertextual reference in poetry by combing Hatim’s approach with Nida’s “dynamic equivalence”. This essay is composed in the hope of rendering a new dimension to translation studies.
“The Beauty and the Pain”: Image of the Tree in Beloved
Ying XU
Canadian Social Science , 2008,
Abstract: This thesis explores the complicated images of the trees in Beloved. The archetypal image of the tree as tree of life reflect the pastoral “beauty” in the south by its regenerative power which assists the black slaves to gain physical flight from the slavery and the former slaves from the psychological grip of the slavery past. The “strange fruit” of the southern trees and the tree-like scar in Sethe’s back reveals the “pain” in the slavery south. Beloved’s seemingly perverse image as the residue of the slavery past aggravates this “pain”, but her foils to a revived tree stump representing the tree of history and to the metamorphosing tree-god Dionysus help the former slaves rebuild the bond with their past, thus retrieve the lost “beauty” in the south. In this sense, the continuity between the two seemingly contradicting concepts—“beauty” and “pain” is established.
Applying the Method for Solving Traveling Salesman Problem Based on Backtracking Algorithm to Order Picking  [PDF]
Jie Zhu, Ying Huang, Lijuan Xu
Open Journal of Optimization (OJOp) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ojop.2016.52010
Abstract: In the distribution center, the way of order picking personnel to pick goods has two kinds: single picking and batch picking. Based on the way of the single picking and assumed warehouse model, in order to reduce the walking path of order picking, the order picking problem is transformed into the traveling salesman problem in this paper. Based on backtracking algorithm, the order picking path gets optimized. Finally verifing the optimization method under the environment of VC++6.0, order picking path in the warehouse model get optimized, and compared with the traditional order picking walking paths. The results show that in small and medium-sized warehouse, the optimization method proposed in this paper can reduce order picking walking path and improve the work efficiency as well as reduce the time cost.
Analysis of Meteorological Conditions for Fog and Haze in the Eastern and Central Regions of China during January, 2013  [PDF]
Ying Wu, Mengyao Lv, Linchang An, Hui Xu
Atmospheric and Climate Sciences (ACS) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/acs.2017.74042
Abstract: Based on the data of conventional meteorological observation, NCEP reanalysis data and atmospheric composition observation, a comprehensive analysis of the three kinds of persistent fog and haze in eastern China in January 2013 was carried out. The results show that the process of persistent fog and haze is in the background of static weather, and the zonal circulation in the middle and high latitudes is not conducive to the south of the cold air. In the eastern part of China, near-surface wind speed is low under the controlled of pressure field, which is conducive to the formation and maintenance of haze. The formation of inversion layer, the height of the mixed layer, the stratified structure of the upper dry layer, the ground wind speed and so on can represent the static stability of the atmosphere. In the actual forecast, fog and haze can be distinguished from the angle of relative humidity, PM2.5 concentration, diurnal variation characteristics, mixed layer height and energy structure, industrial structure and local and surrounding economic development level.
