Motivation and Attitude: Two Important Non-Intelligence Factors to Arouse Students’ Potentialities in Learning English  [PDF]
Yi Liu
Creative Education (CE) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2014.514140
Abstract:

This paper discusses how to arouse students’ potentialities in learning English by using two important non-intelligence factors: motivation and attitude. With the need to address the diversity of language learners in the contemporary ESL context, the value of non-intelligence factors cannot be underestimated. There are several non-intelligence factors that influence success or failure in English learning, but the two major ones include motivation and attitude. Motivation drives students towards a desired goal, while attitude shapes students’ perceptions of the curriculum, peers, as well as the instructor. It is important for language educators to recognize the value of these factors if quality outcomes in terms of English learning are to be delivered.

A Quick Classification Method of the Power Quality Disturbances  [PDF]
Yi Yi Tang, Hao Liu
Engineering (ENG) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/eng.2014.67040
Abstract:

This paper introduces a quick classification method of the power quality disturbances. Based on analyzing the characteristics of different electrical disturbance signals in time domain, four distinctive features are extracted from electrical signals for classifying different power quality disturbances and then an automatic classifier is proposed. Using the proposed classification method,a PQ monitor of the classifying power quality disturbances is developed based on the TMS320F2812DSP micro-processor. Semi-physical simulation, lab experiment and field measurement results have verified that this proposed method can classify single or complex disturbance signals effectively.

H Finite-Time Control for Switched Linear Systems with Time-Varying Delay  [PDF]
Hao Liu, Yi Shen
Intelligent Control and Automation (ICA) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ica.2011.23025
Abstract: Finite-time boundedness and H finite-time boundedness of switched linear systems with time-varying delay and exogenous disturbances are addressed. Based on average dwell time (ADT) and free-weight matrix technologies, sufficient conditions which can ensure finite-time boundedness and H finite-time boundedness are given. And then in virtue of the results on finite-time boundedness, the state memory feedback controller is designed to H finite-time stabilize a time-delay switched system. These conditions are given in terms of LMIs and are delay-dependent. An example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
Convergence Theorems for k-Strictly Pseudononspreading Multivalued in Hilbert Spaces  [PDF]
Hongbo Liu, Yi Li
Advances in Pure Mathematics (APM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/apm.2014.47042
Abstract:

We introduce a k-strictly pseudononspreading multivalued in Hilbert spaces more general than the class of nonspreading multivalued. We establish some weak convergence theorems of the sequences generated by our iterative process. Some new iterative sequences for finding a common element of the set of solutions for equilibrium problem was introduced. The results improve and extend the corresponding results of Osilike Isiogugu [1] (Nonlinear Anal.74 (2011)) and others.

Convergence Theorem of Hybrid Iterative Algorithm for Equilibrium Problems and Fixed Point Problems of Finite Families of Uniformly Asymptotically Nonexpansive Semigroups  [PDF]
Hongbo Liu, Yi Li
Advances in Pure Mathematics (APM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/apm.2014.46033
Abstract:

Throughout this paper, we introduce a new hybrid iterative algorithm for finding a common element of the set of common fixed points of a finite family of uniformly asymptotically nonexpansive semigroups and the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem in the framework of Hilbert spaces. We then prove the strong convergence theorem with respect to the proposed iterative algorithm. Our results in this paper extend and improve some recent known results.

Based on the domestic tourism consumption structure statistics of Guangdong Province, this article summarized the problems of domestic tourism consumption and put forward the strategies to optimize tourism consumption structure in Guangdong Province.
Study on the Spillover Effect of Tourism Flow Based on the Customer Market Segmentation—Take the Business Travel Market in Guangdong Province as an Example  [PDF]
Yi Liu, Jiaping Lin
Modern Economy (ME) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/me.2018.95064
Abstract: In the open economic system, the factors that affect the development of regional tourism are more influenced by the level of tourism development in other regions, and show the spatial spillover effect of tourism activities. In this paper, the problem of the spillover effect of tourist flows based on customer market segmentation is solved. Through this study, the following conclusions are drawn: there is a significant spatial spillover effect on the overall tourism flow of the business tourist market in Guangdong province, but the spillover effect is negative, which is represented by the competition substitution effect. The tourism development of different cities in Guangdong province is similar to that of tourism development. The tourism flow of business tourists in Guangdong province has distinctive features and purpose.
The Comprehensive Economic Contribution of China’s Tourism Trade Export  [PDF]
Yi Liu, Wendi Li
Modern Economy (ME) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/me.2019.104074
Abstract: International tourism trade plays an important role in earning foreign exchange through export. At the same time, this industry has a clear and single source of income, which enables relevant industrial policies to play a more effective guiding role. Thoroughly understanding the important role of China’s tourism export to economic growth, can help formulate industrial policies with theoretical basis and practical pertinence. However, there is still a lack of relevant research. In order to fill this gap, the author uses input-output analysis to calculate the comprehensive economic contribution of China’s tourism export, and its internal structure is analyzed. The results show that in 2016, the export of tourism trade achieved a direct added value of 317.658 billion yuan, and the complete added value driven by industrial spreading effect reached 796.734 billion yuan, accounting for 1.07% of GDP, which affirmed the strong economic pulling role of tourism export. According to the internal structure of complete added value, this paper suggests industrial policy should give priorities to support the development of tourism merchandise manufacturing, accommodation and catering sectors, guiding inbound tourists to increase the consumption in the above three items, so as to optimize the income structure and improve the comprehensive economic benefits of tourism trade export.
Clergy, nobility and crown in Decadência
Liu, Yi;
História (S?o Paulo) , 2005, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-90742005000100007
Abstract: in the current work i intend to inquire into the internal motives that led the portuguese seaborne empire to decadence. after making a brief review of the historiography about the decline of estado da índia, i proceed to the analysis of the crown-church-nobility triangle in the course of os descobrimentos, and of their respective roles in the evolution of portuguese empire. the absolutization of the crown, the over-expansion of the clergy and the empowerment of the aristocracy became the most conspicuous and longstanding features in the portuguese social fabric after the country launched herself into maritime undertakings, which crippled her agriculture and retarded the industrialization. as a consequence, the rise of bourgeoisie and the transformation of mercantilist economy into the capitalist were obstructed, and a strong adventurous but non-productive spirit mixed with disdain of manual work prevailed both in metropolis and in overseas territories. in conclusion, the portuguese decadence commenced from within rather than from without, and far prior to dutch intrusions in portuguese asia, which only accelerated the decline.
A Device for the Targeting Delivery of Particulate DNA Vaccines
Yi Liu
Biotechnology , 2006,
Abstract: A unique biomedical device, the hand-held powdered injection system (biolistics), is proposed for the targeting delivery of DNA vaccines. The underlying principle is to harness energy of high-pressure helium to accelerate a pre-measured dose of DNA vaccine coated in microgold particles to an appropriate momentum in order to penetrate the outer layer of the skin or mucosal tissue to achieve a biological effect. The novelty of this hand-held biolistics, using the venturi effect to entrain micron-sized vaccines into an established quasi-steady Supersonic Jet Flow (QSSJF) and accelerate them towards the target. In this paper, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is utilized to characterize of prototype biolistic system. The key features of the gas dynamics and gas-particle interaction are presented. The overall capability of the biolistic system to deliver the particles is discussed. The statistic analyses show the particle impact velocity is achieved 745 m s-1 for representative gold particles.
