Application of Integrated Reorganization of Science Specimen Data Using Kettle  [PDF]

Abstract: Standards and specifications are the premise of integrated reorganization of science specimen data, and data integration is the core of the reorganization. ETL [1] which is the abbreviation of extract, transform, and load [2], is very suitable for data integration. Kettle is a kind of ETL software. In this paper, it has been introduced into the integrated reorganization of science specimen data. Multi-source and heterogeneous specimen data are integrated using kettle, and good results have been achieved. It proved the effectiveness of kettle in the integrated reorganization of science specimen data. The application has practical significance, and the method can be referenced when reorganizing other resource data.

Abstract: In the title compound, C13H16ClNO, the acetylindoline moiety is roughly planar (r.m.s. deviation = 0.0048 ). The chloropropyl group is out of the plane and is statistically disordered over two positions. Indeed, the Cl and CH3 groups located on the stereogenic carbon exchange with each other. The whole crystal is a racemate. Non-classical C—H...O hydrogen bonds between symmetry-related benzene rings stabilize the crystal structure.

Abstract: In the title compound, C9H11NOS, the thiazolidinyl ring is almost perpendicular to the phenyl ring with N—C—C—C torsion angles of 71.7 (2) and 107.1 (2)°. In the crystal, molecules are connected via N—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds, forming layers.

Abstract: 無 Selectivity in the acquisition of primary journals is becoming increasingly important in view of the proliferation of journals and the pressure on acquisition budgets in Iibraries. Earlier studies have shown that in a given scientific subject, a relatively few primary journals contain a substantial proportion of journal literature, and the rest of the literature is scattered throughout a large number of journals only peripherally related to the subject. This project attempted to identify the core journals in Computer Science. Problems were discussed and characteristics of core journal collection were analyzed. The factors to be considered in any level of journal collection analysis include relation to curriculum and research; relation to the total collection; reputation of publishers and contributors; breadth and quantity of demand; cost; indexing in standard sources; accessibility from other sources. These and other bibliometric measures of journal significance such as impact factor are described and their relative advantages and weaknesses discussed.

Abstract: 無 Since the concept of Collection Planning arises, numerous articles dedicated to this subject can be seen in foreign literature. However, it was seldom discussed in this country. Therefore, this article tries to provide some thoughts in regard to Collection Management, which include collection development, collection control and conservation, and collection evaluation. In addition, it also introduces three models for collection management: i.e., the Concept Model for Collection Analysis and Measurement, the Structural/ functional System Model, and the North American Collection Inventory Project, which, the author believes, can be profitably adopted by libraries here in Taiwan.

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, C13H14ClNO2, is roughly planar [maximum deviation = 0.060 (2) ] with the disordered Cl/CH3 group asymetrically distributed on both sides of the mean plane. Indeed, the Cl and CH3 located on the stereogenic carbon exchange each other with occupancy factors in the ratio 0.60:0.40. The whole crystal is a racemate. Non-classical C—H...O hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions [centroid–centroid distance = 3.6959 (9) ] between symmetry-related phenyl rings stabilize the crystal structure.
The History of Corporate Rescue in the UK

Abstract: During the past few years rescue culture flourished in the world. Many countries recently experienced a process of legislative reform and development in relation to their corporate rescue legislation. All of them tried to provide more chance for a company to overcome their financial difficulties through legislation. It has been believed that “assets would be more highly valued if utilized in the industry for which they were designed, rather than scrapped.” (Note 1) The Insolvency Act 1986 since it is applied had experienced a long history. However the effect of it in the area of corporate rescue is disappointed. The Enterprise Act 2002 marked a shift in direction for corporate insolvency law in the UK, which meant the UK had realized the weakness of the Insolvency Act 1986. This can be seen as the first step that the UK made to develop the rescue culture. However, this step is not long enough. In this article, firstly I will generally summarize the development of corporate rescue law in the Enterprise Act 2002. Then I will try to give my own proposal about what need to be further developed in the near future.

Abstract: The English translation of Chinese tea terminology not only facilitates tea export but also functions as a bridge for the international communication of tea culture. However, the lack of translation norms for tea terminology in China leads to various translation problems, resulting in the failure of international tea communication. Translation, as an important means of intercultural communication, requires the constraints of ethics. Based on five models of Chesterman’s translation ethics, in combination with the different translation tasks, this paper divided tea terminology into five corresponding categories and analyzed how Chesterman’s five translation ethics were applied in tea terminology translation. The results show that Chesterman’s translation ethics is applicable to improving the quality of tea terminology translation.
An Empirical Method for Estimating Background Stratospheric Aerosol Extinction Profiles over China

Abstract: The current paper introduces an empirical method for estimating the vertical distribution of background stratospheric aerosol extinction profiles covering the latitude bands of 50±5°N, 40±5°N, 30±5°N, and 20±5°N and the longitude range of 75-135°E based on Stratospheric Aerosol and Gas Experiment (SAGE) II aerosol extinction measurements at wavelengths of 1020 nm, 525 nm, 452 nm, and 386 nm for the volcanically calm years between 1998-2004. With this method, the vertical distribution of stratospheric aerosol extinction coefficients can be estimated according to latitude and wavelength. Comparisons of the empirically calculated aerosol extinction profiles and the SAGE II aerosol measurements show that the empirically calculated aerosol extinction coefficients are consistent with SAGE II values, with relative differences within 10% from 2 km above the tropopause to 33 km, and within 22% from 33 km to 35 km. The empirically calculated aerosol stratospheric optical depths (vertically integrated aerosol extinction coefficient) at the four wavelengths are also consistent with the corresponding SAGE II optical depth measurements, with differences within 2.2% in the altitude range from 2 km above the tropopause to 35 km.
