Meta-Analysis on the Relationship between HLA-DRBl Gene Polymorphism and Cervical Cancer in Chinese Population

Abstract: Aim To determine the association between HLA-DRB1 haplotypes and risk of cervical cancer in unselected and samples from Chinese ethnicities. Methods A comprehensive search for articles from their inception to April 1st, 2013 was conducted from PubMed, Medline, Elsevier Science, Springer Link, Cochrane Library database, China biology medical literature database (CBM),China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI),VIP,and Chinese literature database(Wang fang). A total of 1596 patients with cervical cancer and 2048 controls from the 12 studies on the relationship between gene polymorphism of HLA-DRB l and cervical cancer were performed and data were analyzed and processed using Review Manager 5.0 and Stata 11.0. Results Among the 13 family alleles, two (DRB1*03 and DRB1*08) were found to be negatively associated with cervical cancer in all studies or in Uighur subgroups, and two (DRB1*10 and DRB1*15) were positively associated with in all studies or in Uighur subgroups. Among the 25 specific alleles, six (DRB1*0301, *0403,*0404, *0803, *1312 and *1502) were associated with an increased risk cervical cancer in all studies. No significant association was established for other HLA-DRB1 family alleles and specific alleles. Ethnicity partially explained the race influence of DRB1*12, DRB1*14, DRB1*0301, DRB1*0403, DRB1*0404, DRB1*0803, DRB1*1312 and DRB1*1502 phenotypes. Conclusion Our results support the hypothesis that the HLA-DRB1 family alleles and specific alleles might influence the susceptibility or resistance to cervical cancer, suggesting that immune regulation may play a key role in this disease, although further investigations are still needed.

Abstract: Centrin is a member of the EF-hand super family that plays critical role in the centrosome duplication and separation. To investigate the role of Asp37 in the process of metal-binding and conformational change of ciliate Euplotes octocarinatus centrin (EoCen), the mutant D37K, in which aspartic acid 37 had been replaced by lysine, was first obtained by the site-directed mutagenesis. Then 2-p-toluidinylnaphthalene-6- sulfonate (TNS) was used as a fluorescence probe to detect the conformational change of the protein. The results show that the metal- binding capability of the site I of EoCen was lost by the mutation of Asp37→Lys. In comparison the Tb3+-saturated EoCen, the hydrophobic surface of D37K, which is exposed by the binding of Tb3+, has shrunk sharply, suggesting that Asp37 plays an important role in maintaining the proper conformation of EoCen in the presence of Tb3+. Meanwhile, the conditional binding constants of TNS with Tb3+-loaded EoCen and D37K were obtained, K(Tb3+-EoCen-TNS)=(7.38 ±0.25)×105 M-1 and K(Tb3+-D37K-TNS)=(1.16± 0.05)×106 M-1.

The Comparision and Simulation of Ad Hoc Network Routing Protocol Based on NS2

Abstract: For the sake of solving the problems of bad validity and large control cost in Ad hoc Routing Protocol, in this paper, by using NS2, a simulation tool, to compare three common Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector) and DSR (dynamic source routing). The result of simu simulation lation network routing protocols, they are DSD (destination- destinationsequenced sequenced distance-vector) vector). AODV (Ad indicate that on-Demand router protocol is much more suitable in Ad Hoc network than initiative router protocol.In the same simulation environment, the performance of transmission in DSR and AODV protocl is good than DSDV protocol. Expounding the normal method and process in Ad Hoc routing protocol by using the simulation flat of NS2-2.28, for the researcher in Ad Hoc network, it would be a effective reference.

Abstract: This report is written to provide a method of building secure VPN by combination of L2TP and IPSec in order to meet the requirements of secure transmission of data and improve the VPN security technology. It remedies the secured short comes of L2TP Tunneling Protocol Tunneling Protocol and IPSec security. Simulation and analysis show that the construction method can improve the security of data transmission, and the simulation results of VPN is valuable for security professionals to refer.

Abstract: This article makes a comparison through the TRIP agreement in different soft switching network, we find that the TRIP protocol in the improved network performs better than the old, and the performance of the network topology changes very sensitive, it fully describes that the TRIP agreement mechanism is adapt to the improved soft-switching networks, it is so necessary to improve the original soft-switching network that it can better adapt to changes in network topology, achieve the separation of business and control, and ultimately replace traditional switches. Simulation and analysis show that the TRIP agreement allows the next generation network soft-switch technology more scientific and perfect. This next generation network research simulation results of practical reference for staff.

Abstract: Background Drug repurposing for cancer treatment is an emerging approach to discover clinically approved drugs that demonstrate antineoplastic effect. The effective therapeutics for patients with advanced adrenocortical carcinoma(ACC) are greatly needed. The objective of this study was to identify and validate drugs with antineoplastic effect in ACC cells using a novel quantitative high-throughput drug screening (qHTS) technique. Methods A quantitative high-throughput proliferation assay of 2,816 clinically approved drugs was performed in the NCI-H295R ACC cell line. We validated the antiproliferative effect of candidate compounds in NCI-H295R cells. Further validation was performed in 3-dimensional multicellular aggregates (MCA) of NCI-H295R and SW-13 cell lines. Results We identified 79 active compounds against ACC cells; 21 had an efficacy ≥60% and IC50 <1 μM. The top drug categories enriched were cardiotonic, antiseptic, and antineoplastic. We selected Bortezomib, ouabain, Methotrexate, pyrimethamine for validation. All had an antiproliferative effect in monolayer culture of NCI-H295R cells at clinical achievable serum level. Bortezomib and ouabain inhibited growth of MCA in both cell lines at a low concentration (10 fold below IC50). Methotrexate inhibited growth and caused disintegration of MCA in both cell lines at concentrations well below the maximum serum level (10 to 100 fold of IC50). Pyrimethamine caused growth inhibition in both cell lines at 10 fold of IC50 concentration. Conclusions qHTS of previously approved compounds is an effective and efficient method to identify anticancer drugs for a rare cancer such as ACC. We have validated the antineoplastic effect of Bortezomib, ouabain, Methotrexate and pyrimethamine, which could be translated into clinical trials in patients with locally advanced and/or metastatic ACC.
On Current Conversion between Particle Rapidity and Pseudorapidity Distributions in High Energy Collisions

Abstract: In high energy collisions, one usually needs to give a conversion between the particle rapidity and pseudorapidity distributions. Currently, two equivalent conversion formulas are used in experimental and theoretical analyses. An investigation in the present work shows that the two conversions are incomplete. Then, we give a revision on the current conversion between the particle rapidity and pseudorapidity distributions. 1. Introduction High energy collisions are an important research field in particle and nuclear physics. In the collisions, a lot of particles are produced, and the rapidity and/or pseudorapidity distributions can be obtained and studied [1–3]. Usually, one needs to do a conversion between the rapidity and pseudorapidity distributions in the case of only one of the two distributions being obtained. There are two equivalent conversion formulas used in the current literature [4–11]. Naturally, one thinks that the two conversions are perfect in investigations of the rapidity and pseudorapidity distributions. However, our incidental find shows that the two conversions are incomplete. In obtaining the Jacobian in the current literature [4–11], a nongiven quantity, namely, transverse momentum, is erroneously used as a given one, which renders an incomplete conversion. In this paper, we will give a reanalysis on the Jacobian. A revised conversion between the rapidity and pseudorapidity distributions will be presented. 2. General Definition We consider a system of high energy projectile-target collisions. The incident projectile direction is defined as axis, and the reaction plane is defined as plane.
