In addition, to combine the multiple-killing effects of hyperthermal targeting therapy, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, the albumin-nanoparticle surfaces were linked with radionuclide 188Re-labeled folic acid ligand (188Re-folate-CDDP/HSA).Methods: Human serum albumin was labeled with 188Re using the pre-tin method. Reaction time and optimal conditions of labeling were investigated. The particles were intravenously injected into mice, which were sacrificed at different time points. Radioactivity per gram of tissue of percent injected dose (% ID/g) was measured in vital organs. The biodistribution of 188Re-folate-CDDP/HAS magnetic nanoparticles was assessed.Results: Optimal conditions for 188Re-labeled folate-conjugated albumin combined with cisplatin magnetic nanoparticles were: 0.1 mL of sodium gluconate solution (0.3 mol/L), 0.1 mL of concentrated hydrochloric acid with dissolved stannous chloride (10 mg/mL), 0.04 mL of acetic acid buffer solution (pH 5, 0.2 mol/L), 30 mg of folate-conjugated albumin combined with cisplatin magnetic nanoparticles, and 188ReO4 eluent (0.1 mL). The rate of 188Re-folate-CDDP-HSA magnetic nanoparticle formation exceeded 90%, and radiochemical purity exceeded 95%. The overall labeling rate was 83% in calf serum at 37°C. The major uptake tissues were the liver, kidney, intestine, and tumor after the 188Re-folate-CDDP/HSA magnetic nanoparticles were injected into nude mice. Uptake of 188Re-folate-CDDP/HSA magnetic nanoparticles increased gradually after injection, peaked at 8 hours with a value of 8.83 ± 1.71, and slowly decreased over 24 hours in vivo.Conclusion: These results indicate that 188Re-folate-CDDP/HSA magnetic nanoparticles can be used in radionuclide-targeted cancer therapy. Methods: Magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles were prepared using a coprecipitation method. The appearance, structure, phase composition, functional groups, surface charge, magnetic susceptibility, and release in vitro were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, and a vibrating sample magnetometer. Blood toxicity, in vitro toxicity, and genotoxicity were investigated. Therapeutic effects were evaluated by MTT [3-(4, 5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2, 5-diphenyl-2H-tetrazolium bromide] and flow cytometry assays. Results: Transmission electron microscopy revealed that the shapes of the Fe3O4 nanoparticles were approximately spherical, with diameters of about 26.1 ± 5.2 nm. Only the spinel phase was indicated in a comparison of the x-ray diffraction data with Joint Corporation of Powder Diffraction Standards (JCPDS) X-ray powder diffraction files. The O-to-Fe ratio of the Fe3O4 was determined by scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy elemental analysis, and approximated pure Fe3O4. The vibrating sample magnetometer hysteresis loop suggested that the Fe3O4 nanoparticles were superparamagnetic at room temperature. MTT experiments showed that the toxicity of the material in mouse fibroblast (L-929) cell lines was between Grade 0 to Grade 1, and that the material lacked hemolysis activity. The acute toxicity (LD50) was 8.39 g/kg. Micronucleus testing showed no genotoxic effects. Pathomorphology and blood biochemistry testing demonstrated that the Fe3O4 nanoparticles had no effect on the main organs and blood biochemistry in a rabbit model. MTT and flow cytometry assays revealed that Fe3O4 nano magnetofluid thermotherapy inhibited MCF-7 cell proliferation, and its inhibitory effect was dose-dependent according to the Fe3O4 nano magnetofluid concentration. Abstract: The in vivo binding of yeast heat shock factor (HSF) to promoter domains of stress-inducible genes was examined using chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) combined with PCR. The promoter-specfic PCR amplification of DNA immunoprecipitated with antibodies against HSF showed that yeast HSF was bound constitutively to the promoters of GTT2, YLL058W, COQ6, GND2 and YGR066C genes, induciblely to the MRS2 gene. HSF-binding consensus sites prediction indicated the promoter sequences of the stress-inducible genes contain heat shock elements (HSEs). These results suggest the genes are potential HSF-regulated targets.

Two maternal origins of Chinese domestic light-body type goose

Abstract: China is particularly rich in goose genetic resources. The systemic study of genetic diversity and origin of Chinese indigenous geese will provide important scientific basis for the conservation, utilization of resources and human history. The 521 bp control region (D-loop) of mitochondrial DNA from 13 lightbody type breeds was sequenced. The results showed that in the D-loop region of the 13 gray goose breeds, the content of T, C, A and G nucleotides was 23.8, 29.0, 32.2 and 15.1%, respectively. The average haplotype diversity (Hd) and nucleotide diversity (Pi) of domestic geese were 0.2153 and 0.00046, respectively. The 13 light-body type breeds had bigger nucleotide variance value among populations than the value within populations and all the breeds did not exist population expansion. Shared haplotype analysis and systemic systematic evolution analysis revealed that Chinese lightbody type domestic goose owned two maternal origins. YL goose breed originated from greylag goose (anser anser), and the other 12 light- body type goose breeds originated from swan goose (anser cygnoides).
Prevalence and determinants of child maltreatment among high school students in Southern China: A large scale school based survey

Abstract: Background Child maltreatment can cause significant physical and psychological problems. The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence and determinants of child maltreatment in Guangzhou, China, where such issues are often considered a taboo subject. Methods A school-based survey was conducted in southern China in 2005. 24 high schools were selected using stratified random sampling strategy based on their districts and bandings. The self-administered validated Chinese version of parent-child Conflict Tactics Scale (CTSPC) was used as the main assessment tool to measure the abusive experiences encountered by students in the previous six months. Results The response rate of this survey was 99.7%. Among the 6592 responding students, the mean age was 14.68. Prevalence of parental psychological aggression, corporal punishment, severe and very serve physical maltreatment in the past 6 months were 78.3%, 23.2%, 15.1% and 2.8% respectively. The prevalence of sexual abuse is 0.6%. The most commonly cited reasons for maltreatment included 'disobedience to parents', 'poor academic performance', and 'quarrelling between parents'. Age, parental education, places of origins and types of housing were found to be associated with physical maltreatments whereas gender and fathers' education level were associated with sexual abuse. Conclusion Though largely unspoken, child maltreatment is a common problem in China. Identification of significant determinants in this study can provide valuable information for teachers and health professionals so as to pay special attention to those at-risk children.

Abstract: As a kind of finance innovation for direct lending between individuals, P2P develops rapidly in recent ten years. However, while it is promoting China’s economic development, various problems related to P2P network credit and loan are appearing gradually. If P2P wants to develop continuously, the core is to strengthen the risk management. Based on the analysis of the concept, model and positive significance of P2P network credit and loan, this paper mainly expounds the credit risks, information risks, operational risk, regulatory and legal risks and liquidity risk that P2P network credit and loan faces, and comes up with the solutions to these problems, for example, setting up the credit system, perfecting internal control as well as strengthening supervision and industrial self-regulation, combining big data technology. These present some new ideas of performing risks management for P2P.
