Switchable PLL Frequency Synthesizer andHot Carrier Effects  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, a new strategy of switchable CMOS phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer is proposed to increase its tuning range. The switchable PLL which integrates two phase-locked loops with different tuning frequencies are designed and fabricated in 0.5 µm n-well CMOS process. Cadence/Spectre simulations show that the frequency range of the switchable phased-locked loop is between 320 MHz to 1.15 GHz. The experimental results show that the RMS jitter of the phase-locked loop changes from 26 ps to 123 ps as output frequency varies. For 700 MHz carrier frequency, the phase noise of the phase-locked loop reaches as low as ?81 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset frequency and ?104 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset frequency. A device degradation model due to hot carrier effects has been used to analyze the jitter and phase noise performance in an open loop voltage-controlled oscillator. The oscillation frequency of the voltage-controlled oscillator decreases by approximately 100 to 200 MHz versus the bias voltage and the RMS jitter increases by 40 ps under different phase-locked loop output frequencies after 4 hours of stress time.

Abstract: It is of great importance to develop a systematic framework to integrate and coordinate software components to effectively and efficiently accomplish complex hydrological modeling tasks. In this paper, we examine the state-of-art information technologies including service-oriented architecture, and propose a systematic approach based on service-oriented architecture and scientific workflow to investigate the general model coupling problems. A prototype system, MoteWS, based on web services for publishing field measurement data from wireless sensor networks is developed to preliminarily explore and test our proposed architecture. Results and lessons learned are discussed and future recommendations in this direction are provided.

Abstract: In this paper, we proposed an optimized real-time hybrid cooperative multi-camera tracking system for large-scale au-tomate surveillance based on embedded smart cameras including stationary cameras and moving pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras embedded with TI DSP TMS320DM6446 for intelligent visual analysis. Firstly, the overlapping areas and projection relations between adjacent cameras' field of view (FOV) is calculated. Based on the relations of FOV ob-tained and tracking information of each single camera, a homography based target handover procedure is done for long-term multi-camera tracking. After that, we fully implemented the tracking system on the embedded platform de-veloped by our group. Finally, to reduce the huge computational complexity, a novel hierarchical optimization method is proposed. Experimental results demonstrate the robustness and real-time efficiency in dynamic real-world environ-ments and the computational burden is significantly reduced by 98.84%. Our results demonstrate that our proposed sys-tem is capable of tracking targets effectively and achieve large-scale surveillance with clear detailed close-up visual features capturing and recording in dynamic real-life environments.

Abstract: The key generation algorithm of AES was introduced; the weaknesses of the key generation design of AES were investigated. According to the key demand put forward a kind of new design idea, and this designing strategy was developed, which can be used to improve the key generation algorithm of AES. An analysis shows that such improvement can enhance the safety of the original algorithm without reducing its efficiency.

Confronted with the ever-increasingly serous information explosion, police authorities meet with new challenges in their daily police work. This paper establishes a mobile police application system integrating office work, early warning, publicity and surveillance through careful study of the Peer to Peer and Location Based technology, striving to transform the traditional idea, break the traditional mode, expand the tradition scope so as to better exercise the social supervision function, publicize precaution information and crack down on crime.
A Class of Two-Person Zero-Sum Matrix Games with Rough Payoffs

Abstract: We concentrate on discussing a class of two-person zero-sum games with rough payoffs. Based on the expected value operator and the trust measure of rough variables, the expected equilibrium strategy and -trust maximin equilibrium strategy are defined. Five cases whether the game exists -trust maximin equilibrium strategy are discussed, and the technique of genetic algorithm is applied to find the equilibrium strategies. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed technique. 1. Introduction Game theory is widely applied in many fields, such as, economic and management problems, social policy, and international and national politics since it is proposed by von Neumann and Morgenstern [1]. Peski [2] presented the simple necessary and sufficient conditions for the comparison of information structures in zero-sum games and solved an problem, which is how to find the value of information in zero-sum games. Owena and McCormick [3] analyzed a “manhunting” game involving a mobile hider and consider a deductive search game involving a fugitive, then developed a model based on a base-line model. The traditional game theory assumes that all data of a game are known exactly by players. However, there are some games in which players are not able to evaluate exactly some data in our realistic situations. In these games, the imprecision is due to inaccuracy of information and vague comprehension of situations by players. For these uncertain games, many scholars have made contribution and got some techniques to find the equilibrium strategies of these games. Some scholars, such as, Berg and Engel [4], Ein-Dor and Kanter [5], Takahashi [6], discussed a two-person zero-sum matrix game with random payoffs. Xu [7] made use of linear programming method to discuss two-person zero-sum game with grey number payoff matrix. Harsanyi [8] made a great contribution in treating the imprecision of probabilistic nature in games by developing the theory of Bayesian games. Dhingra et al. [9] combined the cooperative game theory with fuzzy set theory to yield a new optimization method to herein as cooperative fuzzy games and proposed a computational technique to solve the multiple objective optimization problems. Then Espin et al. [10] proposed an innovative fuzzy logic approach to analyze -person cooperative games and theoretically and experimentally examined the results by analyzing three-case studies. Abstract: Neural networks have been shown to be pow-erful tools for solving optimization problems. In this paper, we first retrospect Chen’s chaotic neural network and then propose several novel chaotic neural networks. Second, we plot the figures of the state bifurcation and the time evolution of most positive Lyapunov exponent. Third, we apply all of them to search global minima of continuous functions, and respec-tively plot their time evolution figures of most positive Lyapunov exponent and energy func-tion. At last, we make an analysis of the per-formance of these chaotic neural networks.
