Abstract: Guiding wall is used to change the flow of the oxidation ditch as supporting structure, it widely uses eccentric setting, and its setting parameters are mostly empirical judgments. According to fluent software that simulates the velocity distribution of the guiding wall, to discuss the settings of the guiding wall in different length of downstream extension, eccentricity and guiding wall radius, so to work out its optimized settings.

This paper brings attention on the hybrid synchronization of the Chen hyper-chaotic system by using some simple controllers. We give the sufficient conditions for achieving the goal by using the Lyapunov stability theory, and we verify our conclusion by numerical simulations.

Abstract:

Although automobile is an indispensable vehicle to modern life, it also serves as a social problem with a big traffic accident. Among the reasons of traffic accidents, careless driving accounts for the largest part. So in order to avoid the careless driving, a system which can measure the posture of a driver and warns driver to drive carefully in the case of looking aside is necessary. Although the image measurement method is used broadly, there is a problem on which measurement accuracy is influenced by environment light, makeup of the driver, etc. in the general method based on the two-dimensional image. Therefore, in this study, we propose an image measurement method to obtain the head posture of driver. First we use three-dimensional measurement method which based on the infrared pattern projection to get 3-D information of head, and then we calculate the angle for faces. In this paper, we explain the composition method of an experiment system, and the results of head posture measurement experiment.

Abstract: In this paper, by using bilinear form and extended three-wave type of ans¨atz approach, we obtain new cross-kink multi-soliton solutions of the (3+1)-dimensional Jimbo-Miwa equation, including the periodic breather-type of kink three-soliton solutions, the cross-kink four-soliton solutions, the doubly periodic breathertype of soliton solutions and the doubly periodic breather-type of cross-kink two-soliton solutions. It is shown that the generalized three-wave method, with the help of symbolic computation, provides an effective and powerful mathematical tool for solving high dimensional nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics.
Value Added Decomposition of Chinese Provincial Exports and Its Assessment of True Comparative Advantage: A Case Study of Manufacturing in Jiangsu Province  [PDF]

Abstract: The Sino-US trade conflict, the collapse of economic globalization and the reconstruction of global value chains have enhanced the necessity and urgency of building an open and connected, self-controllable, domestic value chain. Jiangsu is a major province and a large open province. The goal, path and measures for Jiangsu to build an independent and controllable advanced manufacturing system will have typical reference value. Based on the KWW trade value added decomposition framework, the World Input-Output Table (WIOT) and the inter-regional input-output tables of 30 provinces in China, Jiangsu’s return domestic value added, foreign value added, province value added and other provinces’ value added in Jiangsu’s manufacturing exports are estimated. Meanwhile, the regional linkages and changes of Jiangsu’s manufacturing exports with the rest of the provinces are also analyzed. The results show that the value added of imports from Jiangsu exports is higher than that of other provinces, which indicates that the “foreign circulation” of Jiangsu’s economy is stronger than “domestic circulation” though the situation is always changing in recent years. The Yangtze River Delta region is the core space for Jiangsu to build manufacturing industry chain. The Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Huaihai Economic Zone, which is the part of new Silk Road, are two important extended spaces for Jiangsu to build up NVC. Finally, On the basis of the decomposition of export value added, the industries with real comparative advantages in 16 major manufacturing industries in Jiangsu Province are evaluated. Both the advantages and disadvantages of Jiangsu’s value chain upgrading at the industrial level are unveiled.

Decentralized Computation Offloading Game For Mobile Cloud Computing

Abstract: Mobile cloud computing is envisioned as a promising approach to augment computation capabilities of mobile devices for emerging resource-hungry mobile applications. In this paper, we propose a game theoretic approach for achieving efficient computation offloading for mobile cloud computing. We formulate the decentralized computation offloading decision making problem among mobile device users as a decentralized computation offloading game. We analyze the structural property of the game and show that the game always admits a Nash equilibrium. We then design a decentralized computation offloading mechanism that can achieve a Nash equilibrium of the game and quantify its efficiency ratio over the centralized optimal solution. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed mechanism can achieve efficient computation offloading performance and scale well as the system size increases.
Diagnostic and Prognostic Value of Survivin in Pleural Effusion  [PDF]

Abstract: Background: Survivin is an inhibitor of apoptosis that may be a novel diagnostic and prognostic marker of cancer. Our study is to investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of survivin for pleural effusions. Methods: Sixty-five pleural effusion patients were enrolled prospectively. Pleural effusion samples were examined for survivin level by ELISA. Pleural effusions were divided into three groups: Group I, malignant pleural effusion (MPE) (n = 36); Group II, tuberculous pleurisy (TPE) (n = 18); and Group III, transudative pleural effusion (n = 11). The accuracy of diagnosis and the correlation between survivin level and survival in malignant pleural effusions (MPE) were analyzed. Results: Survivin level was 320.50 ± 228.24 pg/ml in MPE, 328.35 ± 146.79 pg/ml in TPE and 318.87 ± 208.39 pg/ml in transudative pleural effusion respectively. ROC curves for MPE versus TPE were analyzed, area under the ROC curve was 0.419, and for the cutoff value of 254.85 pg/ml sensitivity was 44.4% and specificity 55.6%. Survivin had no discriminative power in differentiating exudative effusions of MPE from non-MPE (p = 0.648). There was no correlation between survivin level and age, sex. However, statistically significant difference was found between primary lung carcinoma (238.66 ± 48.19 pg/ml) and extra-pulmonary metastatic carcinomas (435.09 ± 320.62 pg/ml) according to survivin level (p = 0.033). Abstract: Damage reliability analysis is an emerging field of structural engineering which is very significant in structures of great importance like arch dams, large concrete gravity dams etc. The research objective is to design and construct an improved method for damage reliability analysis for concrete gravity dam. Firstly, pseudo excitation method and Mazar damage model were used to analyze how to calculate damage expected value excited by random seismic loading and deterministic static load on the condition that initial elastic modulus was deterministic. Moreover, response surface method was improved from the aspects of the regression of sample points, the selection of experimental points, the determined method of weight matrix and the calculation method of checking point respectively. Then, the above method was used to analyze guarantee rate of damage expected value excited by random seismic loading and deterministic static load on the condition that initial elastic modulus was random. Finally, a test example was given to verify and analyze the convergence and stability of this method. Compared with other conventional algorithm, this method has some strong points: this algorithm has good convergence and stability and greatly enhances calculation efficiency and the storage efficiency. From what has been analyzed, we find that damage expected value is insensitive to the randomness of initial elastic modulus so we can neglect the randomness of initial elastic modulus in some extent when we calculate damage expected value.
