A Fixed-Phase Quantum Search Algorithm with More Flexible Behavior  [PDF]

Abstract: When the Grover’s algorithm is applied to search an unordered database, the probability of success usually decreases with the increase of marked items. To address this phenomenon, a fixed-phase quantum search algorithm with more flexible behavior is proposed. In proposed algorithm, the phase shifts can be fixed at the different values to meet the needs of different practical problems. If research requires a relatively rapid speed, the value of the phase shifts should be appropriately increased, if search requires a higher success probability, the value of the phase shifts should be appropriately decreased. When the phase shifts are fixed at , the success probability of at least 99.38% can be obtained in iterations.
Controlling Unstable Discrete Chaos and Hyperchaos Systems  [PDF]

Abstract:

A method is introduced to stabilize unstable discrete systems, which does not require any adjustable control parameters of the system. 2-dimension discrete Fold system and 3-dimension discrete hyperchaotic system are stabilized to fixed points respectively. Numerical simulations are then provided to show the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed chaos and hyperchaos controlling scheme.

Abstract: Generating and utilizing are the two sources of the information risk, reflecting the quality of financial reporting and investors’ information interpreting ability respectively. Using accrual quality to represent the financial reporting quality and the earnings transparency to represent investors’ information interpreting ability, we examine the correlation among them. By combining the generating and utilizing steps of information, we construct a two-dimensional information risk factor, which equals the excess return of portfolios in high-risk areas subtract that in low-risk areas. Then, taking the Fama-MacBeth two-stage cross-sectional regression procedure, we test whether the information risk factor is a pricing factor with individual stocks and industry portfolios respectively, and the empirical results support the point that information risk is priced by market.

Abstract:

Characteristic analysis of transient electromagnetic disturbance data is very important. In this paper, the time-domain and frequency-domain characteristics of transient electromagnetic disturbance caused by switching operations in substations are analyzed. Two methods are adopted in time-domain analysis. One method is histogram and the other one is normality test. An appropriate procedure for the normality test is proposed. Furthermore, the method used in frequency- domain analysis is to obtain overall envelope. These statistical characteristic analysis methods are showed to be of great value in analyses of the measured samples. The simulation results showed that these methods are effective.

Abstract: Environmental issues in the process of rapid urbanization are critical to the sustainability of China. Compact cities, characterized by relative high density, mixed land-use and pedestrian-oriented habitation, have been proposed as one solution for sustainable urban planning. However, given the fact that Chinese cities are characterized by high population densities, the applicability of a more compact solution to expanding cities in China remains questionable. Essential to the decision-making is a deeper understanding about the relationship between urban compactness and the sustainable environment of the cities. This study is proposed for an evaluation about the urbanization and urban development in China’s context from environmental perspective, especially with respect to atmospheric environment, water resources, waste pollution, and noise problems.
On a subclass of C1 functions for which the Lagrange interpolation yields the Jackson order of approximation

Abstract: We continue the investigation initiated by Mastroianni and Szabados on question whether Jackson's order of approximation can be attained by Lagrange interpolation for a wide class of functions. Improving a recent result of Mastroianni and Szabados, we show that for a subclass of C1 functions the local order of approximation given by Lagrange interpolation can be much better (of at least O(1n)) than Jackson's order.
Remarks on orthogonal polynomials with respect to varying measures and related problems

Abstract: We point out the relation between the orthogonal polynomials with respect to (w.r.t.) varying measures and the so-called orthogonal rationals on the unit circle in the complex plane. This observation enables us to combine different techniques in the study of these polynomials and rationals. As an example, we present a simple and short proof for a known result on the weak-star convergence of orthogonal polynomials w.r.t, varying measures. Some related problems are also considered.
Typing of bronchiectasis according to syndrome differentiation

Abstract: Objective: To study the general law of typing of bronchiectasis according to syndrome differentiation. Methods: We collected the symptoms, conditions of tongue and pulse in patients of bronchiectasis, using frequencies procedure, discriminant analysis and K-means cluster analysis in SPSS statistical software as research medium. Results: Five hundred and sixty-three patients with bronchiectasis were studied. It suggested that accumulation of phlegm-heat in the lungs (45.65%), liver-fire attacking the lungs (24.51%), asthenia of pulmonosplenic qi (22.38%), asthenia of both qi and yin(7.46%) were the main types.Conclusion: Clinical epidemiology provided scientific basis for further studying of the typing of bronchiectasis according to syndrome differentiation. Building up differentiation of syndromes through differentiation and analysis of main symptoms can be used in clinical diagnosis.
Study on the Synergy of Information Technology Innovation and Marketing Innovation for Commercial Banks

Abstract: The competition among commercial banks is increasingly drastic, and the marketing innovation has been one of important strategic choices to make banks win in the market. At the same time, with gradual deepening of bank informationization, the information technology is gradually infiltrating into various innovation activities of the bank and becoming into the new headspring to realize innovation for the commercial bank. This article put forward the synergy between information technology innovation and the marketing innovation for commercial banks, analyzes key factors to realize both synergistic effect, and opens out both mutual relationships in the innovation activity.
Super-Resolution for Synthetic Zooming

Abstract: Optical zooming is an important feature of imaging systems. In this paper, we investigate a low-cost signal processing alternative to optical zooming—synthetic zooming by super-resolution (SR) techniques. Synthetic zooming is achieved by registering a sequence of low-resolution (LR) images acquired at varying focal lengths and reconstructing the SR image at a larger focal length or increased spatial resolution. Under the assumptions of constant scene depth and zooming speed, we argue that the motion trajectories of all physical points are related to each other by a unique vanishing point and present a robust technique for estimating its D coordinate. Such a line-geometry-based registration is the foundation of SR for synthetic zooming. We address the issue of data inconsistency arising from the varying focal length of optical lens during the zooming process. To overcome the difficulty of data inconsistency, we propose a two-stage Delaunay-triangulation-based interpolation for fusing the LR image data. We also present a PDE-based nonlinear deblurring to accommodate the blindness and variation of sensor point spread functions. Simulation results with real-world images have verified the effectiveness of the proposed SR techniques for synthetic zooming.
