On Bicomplex Representation Methods and Applications of Matrices over Quaternionic Division Algebra  [PDF]

Abstract: In this paper, a series of bicomplex representation methods of quaternion division algebra is introduced. We present a new multiplication concept of quaternion matrices, a new determinant concept, a new inverse concept of quaternion matrix and a new similar matrix concept. Under the new concept system, many quaternion algebra problems can be transformed into complex algebra problems to express and study. These concepts can perfect the theory of [J.L. Wu, A new representation theory and some methods on quaternion division algebra, JP Journal of Algebra, 2009, 14(2): 121-140] and unify the complex algebra and quaternion division algebra.

Abstract: This paper establishes the framework of low-carbon auditing based on the current environment of China which is a developing country. A comprehensive system of low-carbon auditing should be composed by low carbon related laws compliance auditing, low-carbon conduct auditing and performance auditing. The functional paths of low-carbon auditing include at least four things: building a comprehensive low-carbon auditing system, establishing sets of indicators, cultivating talents with diverse carbon related knowledge and providing policies step by step.
Research on the Tourism Effect and Marketing Strategy of Convention & Exposition Industry: A Case Study of Shenzhen City of China  [PDF]

There is a close natural connection in tourism and Convention & Exposition (C&E) since they are mutually affected and promoted. This study attempts to theoretically analyze the tourism effect and marketing tactics of the C&E industry. To do this, the inductive method and value train theory are introduced to analyze the supply and demand of tourism. Findings reveal that not only can C&E produce positive influences such as synergistic effect and cluster effect on tourism, but also negative result which is characterized by spillover effect. Taking Shenzhen city of China as an example, several marketing strategies are found. It is concluded that such strategies on C&E and events exhibition can meet the needs of Shenzhen, and improve the tour image of this city, so as to help expand its influence on tourism.

Research on Effectiveness of the Government R&D Subsidies: Evidence from Large and Medium Enterprises in China  [PDF]

Abstract: To cope with the fast-changing business environment, Chinese government makes every effort to increase business R&D subsidies. The aim of this paper is to examine the efficiency of Chinese government R&D subsidies on innovative performance and the moderating role of a firm’s R&D capacity. Based on the data from Chinese Large and Medium Firms during 1997-2012, we analyze whether government R&D subsidies affect a firm’s innovative performance, as well as how this effect works. The findings suggest that the firms that received increasing government R&D subsidies will have a better innovative performance, yet up to a point. Beyond this threshold, a greater share of government R&D subsidy will reduce a firm’s innovative performance. And such substitution effect is larger for firms with greater R&D capacity. Also, the firm’s own R&D capacity, size, industry technical levels have varying degrees of impact on the efficiency of government R&D subsidies. The findings of this paper may have practical value and help governments to develop relative regulations and policies.
Selection of Stainless Steel for Cathode Plate in Hydrometallurgical Process  [PDF]

Recently, the hydrometallurgy for metal refining is getting more and more popularin China. During a traditional hydrometallurgical process sulphuric acid is often used. In many cases, the working conditions in the solvent extraction and electro winning processes could be very tough for the commonly used material of different equipment and components, such as, austenitic stainless steels of 304/304L and 316L. In a copper refinery, a permanent cathode plate made of 316L was taken out of production due to heavy corrosion. The samples from the corroded plate were investigated thoroughly, possible reasons were pointed out and new material was suggested in this work. It is expected this research could help the copper refineries and Sanmen Sanyou to select the proper cathode plates in complicated working conditions.

Based on the collection and arrangement of the related data and information, the paper points out the main problems which is existing in China’s green credit by figures and examples from aspects of detail standards of policies, the matching level between deposits and loans and the management ability of avoiding environmental risk. Furthermore, the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures of the problems.

Abstract: The isolation and culture of conventional detection method of salmonella can not meet the testing requirements of quick and easy detection at the grassroots level. In this study, we prepare the fluorescent nanoparticles as a marker, covalently conjugate with monoclonal antibodies of Salmonella pullorum. The whole Salmonella pullorum antigen and goat anti-mouse antibody sprayed on the nitrocellulose membranes are used as test line and control line. The fluorescence nanoparticles immune based lateral flow strips are made according to the principle of antigen-antibody immune response. The test strips may interpret results within 30 min. The results of the salmonella A, S. agona, S. chester and S. arechavaleta are positive, including, S. agona for weakly positive. After analysis, it is found that in addition to the salmonella of group A, the other positive salmonella are in group B. But it is negative of S. derby, S. rissen, and other 6

Abstract: In the micro-grid photovoltaic systems, the random changes of solar radiation enable lead-acid batteries to experience low SOC (State of Charge) or overcharged for periods of time if directly charged with such traditional methods as decreased charging current, which will reduce lifetime of batteries. What’s more, it’s difficult to find a proper reduction coefficient in decreasing charging current. To adapt to the random changes of circumstance and avoid selecting the reduction coefficient, a new fast charging method named decreased charging current based on SOC is proposed to apply into micro-grid photovoltaic systems. It combines batteries’ SOC with the maximum charging voltage to determine the charging rate without strictly selecting reduction coefficient. By close-loop current control strategy and related scheme, the experiment proves the new method is feasible and verifies that, comparing with decreased charging current, the improved method make batteries’ SOC reach 100% in shorter time as well as the temperature of batteries raise more slowly.

Abstract: The real-time fault diagnosis system is very great important for steam turbine generator set due to a serious fault results in a reduced amount of electricity supply in power plant. A novel real-time fault diagnosis system is proposed by using strata hierarchical fuzzy CMAC neural network. A framework of the fault diagnosis system is described. Hierarchical fault diagnostic structure is discussed in detail. The model of a novel fault diagnosis system by using fuzzy CMAC are built and analyzed. A case of the diagnosis is simulated. The results show that the real-time fault diagnostic system is of high accuracy, quick convergence, and high noise rejection. It is also found that this model is feasible in real-time fault diagnosis.
