Abstract: The data show that the lack of myeloid differentiation factor 88 (MyD88) has no effect on the AAM? derived from the bone marrow (BMM?) in vitro and does not impair the mRNA expression of arginase-1, resistin-like molecule (RELMα), and Ym1 in BMM?s. The Th2 cytokine production bias in splenocytes was not significantly altered in F. hepatica-infected mice in the absence of MyD88 in vitro and in the pleural cavity lavage in vivo. In addition, MyD88-deficiency has no effect on the arginase production of the F. hepatica elicited macrophages (Fe M?s), production of RELMα and Ym1 proteins and mRNA expression of Ym1 and RELMα of macrophages in the peritoneal cavity 6 weeks post F. hepatica infection.The absence of MyD88 has no effect on presence of AAM? 6 weeks post F. hepatica infection.Macrophages are highly plastic cells that respond to diverse environments by altering their phenotype and physiology [1,2] and play important roles in both innate and adaptive immunity. Currently, macrophages are classified under two phenotypes, classically activated macrophages (CAMΦ) and alternatively activated macrophages (AAMΦ). CAMΦ are induced by interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) and lipopolysaccharide (LPS), whereas induction of the AAMΦ phenotype is associated with various stimuli, such as IL-4/IL-13, IL-10, immunocomplexes, and glucocorticoids [2]. The most widely studied stimuli for generating AAMΦ is treatment with IL-4/IL-13 [1,3]. Although IL-4/IL-13 signaling are essential to the presence of AAMΦ and both cytokines have many overlapping activities on macrophages, they exhibit distinct functions because of their specific receptor subunits aside from their shared common alpha chain [4]. However, this does not alter the fact that a Th2-dominated environment is critical for AAMΦ induction [5-7]. Abstract: In this study, silicate-dissolving bacteria NBT strain was grown with 0.25% maltose as carbon source, and the rifampicin-resistance was generated by ultraviolet mutagenesis and streak naturalized to 200 microg x ml(-1). Through triparental cross, the luxAB genes were introduced into NBT-R200 at the help of pRK2013. The luminescence activity of the hybrid strain was tested, which indicated that all colonies had a high luminescence activity and kanamycin-, tetracyctine-and rifampicin-resistance. The NBT-R200 cells prepared from initial logarithmic growth phage were more likely to be sensitive to foreign DNA, and the maximum translocation frequency was up to 6.70 x 10(-5). In addition, the optimal mating ratio was 1:1:1. The potassium release ability from feldspar and the luminescence of luxAB genes marked silicate-dissolving bacteria RL85 strain were stable, and hence, the RL85 was available to rhizosphere microecology researches.
Research on high accumulating Cd2+ mechanism of a toletant Cd2+ strain by Infrared spectroscopy analysis

Abstract: 从安徽某冶炼厂污染土壤中分离出一株能耐高浓度镉的菌株(J5),经初步鉴定为假单胞菌属(Pseudomonas sp.).该菌株在液体培养基中耐受40 mmol·L-1 CdSO4,在固体培养基上耐受75mmol·L-1 CdSO4.培养基中Cd2+、Zn2+、Pb2+、Cu2+浓度分别为100 mg·L-1和Mn2+浓度为275mg·L-1时,菌株生长正常.在重金属Cu2+、Pb2+、Zn2+、Mn2+存在时,采用红外光谱与原子吸收光谱分析菌株对Cd2+的积累,结果表明,在低浓度Cd2+溶液中菌株细胞对Cd2+的积累,主要靠细胞壁上-NH2与Cd2+配位结合;在高浓度Cd2+溶液中,细胞壁上-NH2、-OH、-COOH、-PO43-、-M-O(O-M-O)基团吸附Cd2+的能力显著.Mn2+可以增加细胞壁上有效官能团活性,提高Cd2+积累率;但当有Zn2+、Pb2+、Cu2+重金属离子共存时,即使有Mn2+存在,菌体对Cd2+吸附积累能力未见提高.

Abstract: There is a need to improve the financial management ability of high school students in China. This paper carries on a questionnaire survey among some high school students in Nanjing, then analyzes and sumarizes the survey data in order to know the students’ consumption psychology, financial management consciousness and financial education situation. The initial findings reveal that there is limited knowledge of the concept of financial management in high school students. This is reflected in the ability of independent living of high school students being improved. So, this paper has some specific suggestions, e.g. financial institutions and social should provide a wide variety of financial products which are suitable for high school students, and set up education bank so as to keep the sustainable development of education cause. Schools may establish parents committee in order to strengthen the relations between parents and schools, complete the quality-oriented education including financial education.

Abstract: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are ubiquitous non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression at the post-transcriptional level. An increasing number of studies has revealed that viruses can also encode miRNAs, which are proposed to be involved in viral replication and persistence, cell-mediated antiviral immune response, angiogenesis, and cell cycle regulation. Singapore grouper iridovirus (SGIV) is a pathogenic iridovirus that has severely affected grouper aquaculture in China and Southeast Asia. Comprehensive knowledge about the related miRNAs during SGIV infection is helpful for understanding the infection and the pathogenic mechanisms.

Abstract: Objective: Oxidative damage is a critical role which involves hearing loss induced by impulse noise. That exogenous antioxidant agents reduce noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) has been well demonstrated in both animal studies and clinical practices. Choosing a stronger and more effective antioxidant is very important for treatment of NIHL. Vitamin E, α-lipoic acid, and radix astragali are the most commonly used anti-oxidants for cochlear oxidative damage from acoustic trauma. In this study, the protective effects of radix astragali, α-lipoic acid, and vitamin E on acute acoustic trauma are investigated. Methods: Guinea pigs in the experimental groups were intragastrically administered vitamin E, α-lipoic acid, and radix astragali. Auditory thresholds were assessed by sound-evoked auditory brainstem response (ABR) at click and tone bursts of 8, 16 and 32 kHz, 24 hours before and 72 hours after exposure to impulse noise. Cochlear malondialdehyde (MDA) concentrations were detected. Hair cell damage was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy. Results: Vitamin E, α-lipoic acid, and radix astragali significantly reduced ABR deficits, reduced hair cell damage, and decreased the concentrations of MDA. α-lipoic acid and radix astragali were better than vitamin E, and there were no significant differences between α-lipoic acid and radix astragali. Conclusions: α-lipoic acid or radix astragali are recommended for treatment of NIHL.

Abstract: 从南京地区黄棕壤中分离的一株好氧、革兰氏阴性、产芽孢的硅酸盐细菌NBT菌株,能产生丰厚的荚膜,具有鞭毛,能水解淀粉、产生吲哚、液化明胶,全细胞脂肪酸为硬脂酸C16∶0、软脂酸C18∶1(Δ9)和anteisoC15,DNA的G+C mol%为537%。16S rRNA基因测序和系统发育学分析的结果表明,该菌株与胶质芽孢杆菌B7519(Bacillus mucilaginosus)、土壤芽孢杆菌B7517(B. edaphicus)亲缘关系最近。该菌株与B. edaphicus B7517的总DNA杂交率为69%,在形态、生理生化特征上有差异,故可把NBT菌株定为Bacillus edaphicus的一个亚种。
