Abstract:
Taking I-Magic Cube - the entry of Shandong Jianzhu University for Solar Decathlon 2013 - for example, the paper analyzes the conceptual, technological, functional and aesthetic solutions of zero energy solar house coping with ecological, economic, social and cultural challenges. Passive strategies, the solar thermal and PV system, and the building integrated solar system tactics are elaborated. Finally, industrialization and marketing viability of the solar house prototypes are discussed.

Abstract:
A supply chain system is studied, in which the information about the retailer’s storage cost is usually asymmetric. This paper studies the inventory control in the system and presents a quantity discount pricing model for inventory coordination based on the standard container, a transport tool from the supplier to the retailer with a fixed size. First, it investigates the inventory models under full information. Before inventory coordination, the supplier and the retailer my-opically choose their lot sizes, which is not the optimal decision for the whole system. Then, it presents an incentive scheme under asymmetric information from the point of view of the supplier. It also discusses the solution and the distribution of the incremental profits after the incentive scheme is adopted by both the supplier and the retailer. A con-stant in the model, which affects the distribution of the incremental profits, is optimized for the supplier by using numerical analysis. Finally, an example illustrates the application of the model. After inventory coordination, both the supplier and the retailer have a positive incremental profit.

Abstract:
The Yangtze finless porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides asiaeorientalis) is currently limited to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River from Yichang to Shanghai, China, and the adjoining Poyang and Dongting Lakes. Its population size has decreased remarkably during the last several decades due to the heavy impact of human activities, including overfishing of prey species, water development projects that cause attendant habitat loss and degradation, water pollution, and accidental deaths caused by harmful fishing gear and collisions with motorized vessels. It was estimated that the number of remaining individuals was down to approximately 1800 in 2006, a number that is decreasing at a rate as high as 5% per year. Three conservation measures - in situ and ex situ conservation and captive breeding have been applied to the protection of this unique porpoise since the early 1990s. Seven natural and two “semi-natural” reserves have so far been established. Since 1996, a small group of finless porpoises has been successfully reared in a facility at the Institute of Hydrobiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; three babies were born in captivity on July 5, 2005, June 2, 2007 and July 5, 2008. These are the first freshwater cetaceans ever born in captivity in the world. Several groups of these porpoises caught in the main stream of the Yangtze River, or rescued, have been introduced into the Tian’e-Zhou Semi-natural Reserve since 1990. These efforts have proven that, not only can these animals survive in the area, they are also to reproduce naturally and successfully. More than 30 calves had been born in the reserve since then, with one to three born each year. Taking deaths and transfers into account, there were approximately 30 individuals living in the reserve as of the end of 2007. Among eight mature females captured in April 2008, five were confirmed pregnant. This effort represents the first successful attempt at off-site protection of a cetacean species in the world, and establishes a solid base for conservation of the Yangtze finless porpoise. A lesson must be drawn from the tragedy of Chinese River Dolphin (Lipotes vexillifer), which has already been declared likely extinct. Strong, effective and appropriate protective measures must be carried out quickly to prevent the Yangtze finless porpoise from becoming a second Chinese River Dolphin, and save the biodiversity of the Yangtze River as a whole.

Abstract:
In the Windows XP 64 bit operating system environment, several common PC were used to build a cluster system, establishing the distributed memory parallel (DMP) computing system. A finite element model of whole aircraft with about 260 million degrees of freedom (DOF) was developed using three-node and four-node thin shell element and two-node beam element. With the large commercial finite element software MSC.MARC and employing two kinds of domain decomposition method (DDM) respectively, realized the parallel solving for the static strength analysis of the whole aircraft model, which offered a high cost-effective solution for solving large-scale and complex finite element models.

This paper reports a channel simulation of an indoor
optical wireless multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system with non-imaging
receivers. The system consists of a 2×2 array of white light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and 2×2 array of
PDs. An overview of the model specifications, channel impulse response and
channel capacity are demonstrated in this paper. The distribution of the first
reflection is analyzed. The effect of SNR and the location of receivers on
non-imaging optical MIMO communications are investigated. In addition, by
moving the receivers, the optimal location of the communication is found.

Abstract:
The high penetration of distributed energy resources (DERs) will significantly challenge the power system operation and control due to their stochastic, intermittent, and fluctuation characteristics. This enhances the difficulty of congestion management of power systems in cross-border electricity market among different regions. For handling this, the Real-Time Market is proposed for balancing capacity trading against congestions. Several strategies for Real-Time Market dealing with congestions are proposed. The strategy of two-stage crossborder markets in Day-ahead, Intra-day and Real Time Market are introduced with the congestion constraints complied. Pre-Contingency strategy is proposed as the advance preparation for the future congestion, and In-Day redispatch is used for regulation. Accordingly, the requirements on facilities considering telemetry and remote control in a fast manner are discussed at last.

Abstract:
In the 6000 kN·m energy level dynamic compaction on Inner Mongolia wind-blown sand foundation treatment process, the dynamic characteristics and dynamic response are measured. Vibration action time, vibration main frequency, peak acceleration and peak velocity are analyzed. The vibration acting time is very short, the vertical average vibration acting time increases obviously with distance increasing, and the horizontal average vibration time does hardly change. The main frequency of vibration is at 4.60 - 24.90 Hz, which depends on the soil properties and soil layer distribution. The peak acceleration and peak velocity space distribution are similar. The maximum of horizontal acceleration peak is close to vertical velocity peak, and is near to 51 g under rammer. The maximum of horizontal velocity peak is close to vertical velocity peak, and is near to 54 m/s under rammer. The peak acceleration and velocity are rapidly attenuated, but the vertical peak acceleration and peak velocity are slowly attenuated than horizontal direction. The effective treating depth arrives 13 m for wind-blown wind, peak acceleration is 1.8 g or so, and peak velocity is 2.1 m/s or so. Horizontal treating range is 2.6 times of rammer diameter, and vertical treating range is 5.65 times of rammer diameter.

Abstract:
We study the coupled mKdV equation by the
dressing method via local Riemann-Hilbert problem. With the help of the Lax
pairs, we obtain the matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem with zeros. The explicit
solutions for the coupled mKdV equation are derived with the aid of the regularization
of the Riemann-Hilbert problem.

Abstract:
We introduce the concepts of lifting modules and (quasi-)discrete modules relative to a given left module. We also introduce the notion of SSRS-modules. It is shown that (1) if M is an amply supplemented module and 0→N′→N→N″→0 an exact sequence, then M is N-lifting if and only if it is N′-lifting and N″-lifting; (2) if M is a Noetherian module, then M is lifting if and only if M is R-lifting if and only if M is an amply supplemented SSRS-module; and (3) let M be an amply supplemented SSRS-module such that Rad(M) is finitely generated, then M=K⊕K′, where K is a radical module and K′ is a lifting module.

Abstract:
The computation problem is discussed for the stochastic chance-constrained linear programming, and a novel direct algorithm, that is, simplex algorithm based on stochastic simulation, is proposed. The considered programming problem in this paper is linear programming with chance constraints and random coefficients, and therefore the stochastic simulation is an important implement of the proposed algorithm. By theoretical analysis, the theory basis of the proposed algorithm is obtained and, by numerical examples, the feasibility and validness of this algorithm are illustrated. The detailed algorithm procedure is given, which is easily converted into the executable codes of software tools. Then, we compare it with some algorithms to verify its superiority. Finally, a practical example is presented to show its practicability.
