Research on the Tourism Effect and Marketing Strategy of Convention & Exposition Industry: A Case Study of Shenzhen City of China  [PDF]

Abstract:

There is a close natural connection in tourism and Convention & Exposition (C&E) since they are mutually affected and promoted. This study attempts to theoretically analyze the tourism effect and marketing tactics of the C&E industry. To do this, the inductive method and value train theory are introduced to analyze the supply and demand of tourism. Findings reveal that not only can C&E produce positive influences such as synergistic effect and cluster effect on tourism, but also negative result which is characterized by spillover effect. Taking Shenzhen city of China as an example, several marketing strategies are found. It is concluded that such strategies on C&E and events exhibition can meet the needs of Shenzhen, and improve the tour image of this city, so as to help expand its influence on tourism.

Abstract: Existence and uniqueness of solution are proved for elastodynamics of Reissner-Mindlin plate model. Higher regularity is proved under the assumptions of smoother data and certain compatibility conditions. A mass scaling is introduced. When the thickness approaches zero, the solution of the clamped Reissner-Mindlin plate is shown to approach the solution of a Kirchhoff-Love plate.

Abstract: ABSTRACT: This paper briefly introduces item response theory (IRT) as a typical representation of modern testing theory (MTT), and systematically reviews the processes and contents of the application of IRT in the area of health measurement, including, for example, item bank development, scale revision and computerized adaptive testing. The author presents the potential benefits and the notable problems during health measuring by IRT. Then, the author asserts the need for thorough assessment of feasibility when using the IRT in patient-reported outcome research. Further research based on IRT and computerized adaptive testing in health measurement will be carried out in the field of medical care including traditional Chinese medicine and integrative medicine.

Abstract:
A portable evanescent wave optic ?ber immunosensor was developed for detection of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D) using a indirect competitive immunoassay. In this paper, hapten conjugates 2,4-D-OVA were immobilized with covalent binding methods. After pre-reacting, 2,4-D-antibody-Cy5.5 in sample specifically recognized the 2,4-D antigens binding sites on surface of the optical fiber probe. Under optimum conditions, 2,4-D could be detected in less than 18 min for each assay cycle. The regeneration of the optic ?ber surface allowed more than 200 times without losing performance. The limits of detection of 0.039 ug/L and the quantitative detection range of 0.47 - 81.02 ug/L were obtained when the concentration of 2,4-D was 1 mg/L. This immunosensor shows great potential in rapid simultaneous detection of 2,4-D in waters samples.

Abstract: The paper introduces effective and straightforward algorithms of both explicit and implicit model-following designs with state derivative measurement feedback in novel reciprocal state space form (RSS) to handle state derivative related performance output and state related performance output design cases. Applying proposed algorithms, no integrators are required. Consequently, implementation is simple and low-cost. Simulation has also been carried out to verify the proposed algorithms. Since acceleration can only be modeled as state derivative in state space form and micro-accelerometer which is the state derivative sensor is getting more and more attentions in many microelectromechanical and nanoelectromechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS) applications, the proposed algorithms are suitable for MEMS/NEMS systems installed with micro-accelerometers.

Abstract:

This paper describes the hardware implementation of the RANdom Sample Consensus (RANSAC) algorithm for featured-based image registration applications. The Multiple-Input Signature Register (MISR) and the index register are used to achieve the random sampling effect. The systolic array architecture is adopted to implement the forward elimination step in the Gaussian elimination. The computational complexity in the forward elimination is reduced by sharing the coefficient matrix. As a result, the area of the hardware cost is reduced by more than 50%. The proposed architecture is realized using Verilog and achieves real-time calculation on 30 fps 1024 * 1024 video stream on 100 MHz clock.
