Comparison of Microwave-Assisted and Conventional Hydrodistillation in the Extraction of Essential Oils from Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Flowers

Abstract: Microwave-assisted hydrodistillation (MAHD) is an advanced hydrodistillation (HD) technique, in which a microwave oven is used in the extraction process. MAHD and HD methods have been compared and evaluated for their effectiveness in the isolation of essential oils from fresh mango (Mangifera indica L.) flowers. MAHD offers important advantages over HD in terms of energy savings and extraction time (75 min against 4 h). The composition of the extracted essential oils was investigated by GC-FID and GC-MS. Results indicate that the use of microwave irradiation did not adversely influence the composition of the essential oils. MAHD was also found to be a green technology.

Abstract: 为探讨混凝预处理对改善超滤膜过滤通量的效果.试验采用了4种具有不同亲疏水性的水样,着重探讨混凝对有机物的疏水性和亲水性组分的去除效果以及所带来的通量改善.试验结果表明,超滤膜直接过滤原水时,4种水样的有机物截留率在12%~20%,但其中的疏水性组分均超过了50%,说明膜倾向于截留疏水性有机物.投加25 mg/L的混凝剂,4种水样的有机物去除率在12%~28%,投加量增加至100 mg/L,去除率也相应增加至25%~38%,但其中的疏水性组分均占50%以上.混凝预处理均可有效提高通量.对有机物各组分的分析表明,膜处理混凝预处理水时,主要截留亲水性组分,这是由于混凝可有效去除疏水性组分的缘故.由此也可得出结论.超滤膜的通量下降主要是由疏水性有机物引起的,亲水性组分对通量的影响较小.

Abstract: First of all, this paper analyzed the basic principle of the nearest neighbor algorithm. However, a large amount of unnecessary calculation occurred when regarding all the reference tags as the choice of the nearest neighbors. At the same time, the interference was bigger in the indoor environment, and then readers far from the tags read the inaccurate signal strength value. This paper proposed a new RFID indoor positioning algorithm, which used the space division of virtual grid and selected nearest neighbors dynamically to locate. The simulation results show that the position precision and the stability of the improved algorithm without the increase of reference tags are much better compared with the nearest neighbor algorithm.

Abstract: Metro wireless communication systems is an important part of the integrated rail traffic control system. The existing metro wireless communication systems is based on WLAN technology, due to the train nodes must be frequently switch between ground wireless access points. Wireless link is needed to establish new connections frequently, so network routing has also to be frequent changed, which will affect the real-time transmission of data. Which will make the video incoherent and the appearance of mosaic. This paper describes a technology using raw socket to encapsulate the date which sending to the STA (Station, mobile station) in the AP (Access Point, mobile access point)side, this package contains the destination STA MAC address and destination server IP address. By using this technology we realize the data transfer in the condition of train STA frequent switching between ground wireless access points. Thus reducing the switching time.

Abstract: The magnetic and transport properties of the Ga-doped charge-ordering state La0.5Ca0.5MnO3 have been studied. A current-dependent large positive magnetoresistance (1080%) at 5 K was observed. These observations are interpreted in terms of the spin-dependent tunnelling process between ferromagnetic clusters embedded in an antiferromagnetic matrix.
Reverse dedifferentiation of atrial cardiomyocytes after restoration of sinus rhythm from atrial fibrillation in goats

Abstract: Objective Chronic atrial fibrillation (AF) results in dedifferentiation of atrial cardiomyocytes that plays an important role in the perpetuation of AF.In this study,we aimed to investigate the changes of titin and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) after long time of AF reversal.Methods Twenty-four goats were randomized into four groups:(1) sinus rhythm (SR),(2) 3 months AF (3-mo AF),(3) 3 months SR after 3 months AF (3-mo post AF),(4) 6 months SR after 3-mo AF (6-mo post AF),with 6 in each group.By pacing on the anterior bottom of left atria appendage (LAA),we established a goat model of chronic AF.Atria effective refractory period (AERP) was measured with electrophysiological methods.Ultra-structure was studied with echocardiography,light and electron microscopy.Titin and α-SMA protein expressions were determined by Western blot.Results The animals underwent high rate pacing on LAA for a mean of 42.23±21.70 days before presenting AF.Electrophysiological analysis revealed that AERP completely resumed in 3-mo post AF goats.Echocardiography displayed that the size of left atrium resumed almost in 6-mo post AF goats (P< 0.01).Pathological and electron microscopic examination revealed the disorder of myofibrils,augmentation of intercellular space,myolysis,accumulation of glycogen,and numerous bigger mitochondria among atrial cardiomyocytes in 3-mo AF goats.They recovered mostly in 6-mo post AF goats.Western blot showed that the band density of titin significantly reduced in 3-mo AF goats compared to SR ones 1826±319 vs 5012±854,P<0.01].In 3-and 6-mo post AF goats,titin increased gradually and it reversed completely in 6-mo post AF goats (3841±601 and 4523±833 respectively,P < 0.01).Conversely,the band density of α-SMA was significantly higher in 3-mo AF goats (5324±948) than in SR ones (1619± 271,P<0.01).In 3-and 6-mo post-AF goats,α-SMA decreased gradually,and it recovered mostly in 6mo post AF goats (4437± 792 and 2205±540 respectively,P<0.01,).Conclusions These data indicate that the reversal of dedifferentiation of atrial cardiomyocyts is a very slow process,and it is definitely essential for normal cardiac function.

Abstract: 摘要 目的:评价上颌窦内提升同期植入短种植体在上颌后牙区垂直骨量≤3 mm的中期临床效果。方法:16例上颌后牙区垂直骨量≤3 mm的患者行上颌窦内提升同期植入26枚短种植体,随访5~6年,观察种植体周围软硬组织情况。结果: 26枚短种植体5年存留率为96.2%,随访期间种植体颈部近中平均骨增加(0.14±0.15) mm,远中平均骨吸收(-0.03±0.17) mm,联冠修复与单冠修复、游离端与非游离端远中骨吸收有显著性差异,其余均无显著性差异,种植体周围软组织无明显异常。结论: 上颌后牙区骨量严重不足的患者行上颌窦内提升同期植入短种植体,中期可获得良好的预后

Abstract: 摘要 目的: 比较锥形锁柱种植体在慢性中重度牙周炎患者行后牙区即刻种植和延期种植2种种植方式的短期临床疗效。方法: 收集2015年1月~2015年12月接受种植修复的26例慢性中重度牙周炎患者,共植入种植体52枚,其中即刻种植组(A组)28枚,延期种植组(B组)24枚,术后3~6个月完成冠修复,修复后追踪观察时间(14.4±2.3)月,观察种植体存留情况、修复后种植体周围骨吸收量和调查患者满意度。结果: 即刻种植组1枚植体因感染取出,延期种植组失败0枚,存留率分别为96.4%和100%;修复后1年实验组和对照组的种植体近中边缘骨吸收分别为(0.027±0.340) mm和(0.024±0.292) mm,远中边缘骨吸收分别为(0.011±0.252) mm和(-0.002±0.360) mm;2组患者总体满意度较高,上述差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05),观察期内存留的种植体正常行使功能,种植体周围软组织健康状况良好。结论: 慢性中重度牙周炎患者经过完善的牙周系统治疗后,在牙周状况良好的条件下,应用锥形锁柱种植体进行后牙区即刻种植,与延期种植在短期内临床效果相当
Hierarchical structure and modules in the Escherichia coli transcriptional regulatory network revealed by a new top-down approach

Abstract: In this work we proposed a top-down approach to identify modules in the TRN of E. coli. By studying the global connectivity structure of the regulatory network, we first revealed a five-layer hierarchical structure in which all the regulatory relationships are downward. Based on this regulatory hierarchy, we developed a new method to decompose the regulatory network into functional modules and to identify global regulators governing multiple modules. As a result, 10 global regulators and 39 modules were identified and shown to have well defined functions. We then investigated the distribution and composition of the two basic network motifs (feed forward loop and bi-fan motif) in the hierarchical structure of TRN. We found that most of these network motifs include global regulators, indicating that these motifs are not basic building blocks of modules since modules should not contain global regulators.The transcriptional regulatory network of E. coli possesses a multi-layer hierarchical modular structure without feedback regulation at transcription level. This hierarchical structure builds the basis for a new and simple decomposition method which is suitable for the identification of functional modules and global regulators in the transcriptional regulatory network of E. coli. Analysis of the distribution of feed forward loops and bi-fan motifs in the hierarchical structure suggests that these network motifs are not elementary building blocks of functional modules in the transcriptional regulatory network of E. coli.Genome sequencing and high-throughput technologies of functional genomics generate a huge amount of information about cellular components and their functions in an unprecedented pace. These advances make it possible to reconstruct large scale biological networks (metabolism, gene regulation, signal transduction, protein-protein interaction etc.) at a whole cell level [1-4].
