Chiral Lagrangians with tensor sources
Mateu, Vicent
High Energy Physics - Phenomenology , 2007, DOI: 10.1063/1.2823876
Abstract: The implementation of tensor sources in Chiral Lagrangians allows the computation of Green functions and form factors involving tensor currents, that is, quark bilinears of the form \bar{q}_i\sigma^{\mu\nu}q_j. Whereas only four new terms show up at O(p^4), we find around a hundred of them at O(p^6). So it becomes essential to ensure that this set o operators is indeed minimal and non-redundant (i.e., it is a basis). We discuss two phenomenological applications in the context of vector meson resonances and the radiative pion decay.

Estado social e controlo dos desempregados : uma viragem rigorista entre tendências europeias e lógicas nacionais

Abstract: Since the end of the 1990’s, the reinforcement of control over unemployed people in Western European countries raises two questions. From an old and traditionally marginal property of unemployment policies, how was control promoted to a major goal? Why do different national policies of unemployment support converge on this regard, even when the European Union does not have direct competence on this matter? To answer these questions, three levels of analyses are sketched. At first, the description of the historic evolutions that affected unemployment and its public treatment, specifically through the process of desobjectivation of unemployment and the instauration of socio-political power relations unfavourable to unemployed, that we widely find on an European scale. Then the establishment of elective affinities, in the sense of Max Weber, between the pattern of active social State promoted at the supranational plan, and the rigorist orientations of the treatment of the unemployed that we find at the national plan. In short, the analysis, starting from the French case, of the uses of international comparison shows how policies obeying to national logics can give them selves European tendencies that they, on their turn, contribute to achieve
La guía docente: punto de partida para la concreción de un nuevo grado superior de música adaptado al Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior

Abstract: The adaptation of our actual degrees to the EHEA means a new approach to the teaching – learning process. Looking at it from that new perspective, the syllabus represents a useful tool because it allows to guide the students’ learning, and to help the teachers to go towards the ECTS. In the following article we present a proposal of syllabus adapted to the subject “Viola Didactics” into the context of the Viola Pedagogy degree. Thus, we intend to contribute towards generating the long-awaited debate in the superior conservatories of music in Spain, given the new perspectives opened after the approval of the Organic Law of Education (LOE).

This article goes inside the OMA′s urban project. For that reason, it re-examines the project by the Netherlands architects group for the Park La Villette competition. The author a comparison between this does project and that of the winner, the architect Bernard Tschumi. He introduces us to the history of the urban project in OMA′s work, and he also makes an analysis of the architectural elements used by Rem Koolhaas.
On the fundamental tone of minimal submanifolds with controlled extrinsic curvature

Mathematics , 2013, DOI: 10.1007/s11118-013-9349-6
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to obtain the fundamental tone for minimal submanifolds of the Euclidean or hyperbolic space under certain restrictions on the extrinsic curvature. We show some sufficient conditions on the norm of the second fundamental form that allow us to obtain the same upper and lower bound for the fundamental tone of minimal submanifolds in a Cartan-Hadamard ambient manifold. As an intrinsic result, we obtain a sufficient condition on the volume growth of a Cartan-Hadamard manifold to achieve the lowest bound for the fundamental tone given by McKean.
Jellett-Minkowski's formula revisited. Isoperimetric inequalities for submanifolds in an ambient manifold with bounded curvature
Vicent Gimeno
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: In this paper we provide an extension to the Jellett-Minkowski's formula for immersed submanifolds into ambient manifolds which possesses a pole and radial curvatures bounded from above or below by the radial sectional curvatures of a rotationally symmetric model space. Using this Jellett-Minkowski's generalized formula we can focus on several isoperimetric problems. More precisely, on lower bounds for isoperimetric quotients of any precompact domain with smooth boundary, or on the isoperimetric profile of the submanifold and its modified volume. In the particular case of a model space with strictly decreasing radial curvatures, an Aleksandrov type theorem is provided.
Large time behavior of the on-diagonal heat kernel for minimal submanifolds with polynomial volume growth
Vicent Gimeno
Mathematics , 2013,
Abstract: In this paper we provide a lower bound for the long time on-diagonal heat kernel of minimal submanifolds in a Cartan-hadamard ambient manifold assuming that the submanifold is of polynomial volume growth. In particular cases, that lower bound is related with the number of ends of the submanifold.
