Teores de carboidratos n?o-estruturais, nitrogênio total e peso de raízes em Coastcross-1 (Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers) pastejado por ovinos

Abstract: the experiment was conducted from october 1997 to april 1998, to evaluate the nonstructural carbohydrates (sc), total nitrogen (tn) and roots weight, of the pasture of coastcross - 1 (cynodon dactylon (l.) pers), under four levels of dry matter residue (dmr: 1978, 2130, 2545 and 3857 kg dm/ha), under continuous stocking (put and take). a completely randomized design, with two replications, was used. sc and tn contents were analysed on roots and stem base according to dry matter residue levels (dmr) and time (days) of sampling. sc in the roots and percentage of tn in the stem base were not influenced by levels of dmr and sampling period. the highest sc in the stem base was found in the residue of 2545 kg dm/ha, and was observed an adaptation to the pasture condictions as time progressed. sc was higher in the stem base compared with the roots. tn percentage in the roots decreased until the leavel of 2545 kg dm/ha. dry matter production of roots increased as dmr increased, but declined as the sampling period progressed.

Abstract: como a capacidade de recupera o das plantas for-rageiras após desfolha depende, dentre outros fatores, das reservas organicas e da área foliar remanescente, objetivou-se com este estudo quantificar os teores de carboidratos totais n o-estruturais (cTnE) e de n total, nas raízes, base do caule e coroa, determinar a rela o parte aérea–raiz e c–n e elimina o do meristema apical no capim-Xaraés (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Xaraés), submetido a doses de nitrogênio e potássio. O experimento foi desenvolvido em casa-de-vegeta o, empregando-se um esquema fatorial 4 x 3, perfazendo doze combina es. Utilizaram-se quatro doses de nitrogênio (0, 75, 150 e 225 mg dm-3) e três do-ses de potássio (0, 50 e 100 mg dm-3). Observou-se efeito (P<0,05) das doses de nitrogênio no aumento dos teores de n total e da produ o de MS da base do caule e raiz e redu o dos teores de cTnE, sendo as raízes o órg o de armazenamento. Houve intera o (P<0,05) para as doses de n x K na rela o c–n para todos os órg os, reduzindo com o aumento das doses dos nutrientes e com a eleva o nos teores de n total na coroa com o aumento das doses. A rela o parte aérea–raiz e elimina o do meristema apical n o sofreu efeito (P>0,05) de nenhum nutriente. The capacity of recovery of plants after takes away the leaves, depends amongst other factors, of the organic reserves and the remaining foliar area. It was objectified with this study, to quantify meaning of non-structural total carbohydrates (Tnc) and of total n, in the roots, base of stem and crown, to determine the relation has broken ae-rial/root and c/n and elimination of meristema apical in the Xaraés Grass (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Xaraés), submitted the rates of nitrogen and potassium. The experiment was lead in a greenhouse. The experimental treatments have consisted on a 4X3 combination. The nitrogen rates were 0; 75; 150 and 225 mg dm-3, whereas potassium rates were 0; 50 and 100 mg dm-3. Effect (P<0,05) of the rates of nitrogen in the increase of meaning of total n and the production of DM of the base of stem and root and reduction of Tnc meaning was observed, in the same ones, being the roots the storage organ. It had interaction (P<0.05) for the doses of n x K in relation c/n for all the organs reducing with the increase of the rates of the nutrients and rise in meaning of total n in the crown with the increase of the doses. Abstract: A series of 3(2H)-furanones, based on side-chain modifications of a parent 3(2H)-furanone, was synthesized in good yield. The parent compound was prepared by hydrogenolysis, and subsequent acid hydrolysis, of isoxazole derivatives. The isoxazole was prepared by a [3+2] 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between 3-butyn-2-ol and nitrile oxide.
Eficiência de pastejo de capim-marandu submetido a diferentes ofertas de forragem

Abstract: the objective of this work was to evaluate grazing efficiency, herbage disappearance and spatial variability of the sward in marandu palisadegrass pastures rotationally stocked by yearling nelore heifers at four levels of herbage allowance, in pirassununga, sp, brazil. the experimental treatments were 5, 10, 15, and 20 kg dry matter per 100 kg live weight per day (%), in a randomised blocks design. herbage disappearance rate increased with rising herbage allowance, and wide-ranging from 2.3 to 6.5 kg dm per 100 kg lw per day in 2003, and from 2.3 to 6.2 kg dm per 100 kg pv per day in 2004. conversely, herbage disappearance per area differed among treatments only in 2004, and was highest at 20% of herbage allowance (44 kg ha-1 per day). grazing efficiency decreased with rising herbage allowance, averaged 64% in 2003 and 55% in 2004 for 5% of herbage allowance. the increasing herbage allowance shows as consequence the increase herbage disappearance rate and an exponentially decrease of grazing efficiency.

Abstract: O experimento foi realizado no período de outubro de 1997 a abril de 1998, com o objetivo de avaliar os teores de carboidratos n o-estruturais (CHO), nitrogênio total (NT) e produ o de raízes em pastagem de Coastcross-1 (Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers), em quatro níveis de resíduo de matéria seca (RMS: 1978, 2130, 2545 e 3857 kg de MS/ha), sob pastejo contínuo e lota o variável. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi inteiramente casualizado, com duas repeti es. As avalia es dos teores de CHO e NT foram estudadas nas raízes e base do colmo, em fun o dos níveis de resíduo de matéria seca (RMS) e do tempo (dias) do experimento. Os resultados observados evidenciam que os teores de CHO nas raízes e a porcentagem de NT na base de colmo n o foram influenciados pelos níveis de RMS e período de coleta. Os maiores teores de CHO na base do colmo foram encontrados a partir do resíduo de 2545 kg de MS/ha, e no tempo houve constante adapta o às condi es de pastejo. O teor de CHO foi superior na base do colmo, comparada às raízes. A porcentagem de NT nas raízes diminuiu até o nível de 2545 kg de MS/ha. A produ o de matéria seca de raízes aumentou, à medida que aumentou os RMS, ocorrendo declínio em rela o ao período de coleta.
Efeitos de tipos, doses e incorpora o de calcário sobre características agron micas e fisiológicas do capim-Tobiat (Panicum maximum Jacq.)

Abstract: Numa pastagem degradada de capim-Tobiat (Panicum maximum Jacq cv. Tobiat ), em Pirassununga - SP, instalou-se um experimento para verificar os efeitos de doses e tipos de calcário com ou sem incorpora o, sobre o perfilhamento, a cobertura vegetal e a produtividade da pastagem durante seis cortes no período de 1996 a 1997. A produ o de matéria seca n o respondeu a tipos e doses de calcário, no entanto, a prática da incorpora o com grade mostrou-se efetiva e, no tocante aos cortes, houve acréscimo de produ o no ver o e redu o no inverno. A cobertura vegetal apresentou 72,8% de ocupa o para planta forrageira e indicou tendência de menores áreas de solo descoberto nos tratamentos com calcário calcinado.

Abstract: O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar os efeitos da aduba o nitrogenada e da irriga o por aspers o no crescimento e na produ o de massa seca (MS) da aveia preta (Avena strigosa Schreb). Foram avaliadas quatro doses de nitrogênio (0, 50, 100 e 150 kg de N ha-1) e, também, a presen a ou ausência de irriga o. Foram determinadas as seguintesvariáveis: altura de planta, produ o de massa seca, taxa de crescimento e o teor de MS. Quando irrigada, a altura da planta foi maior, refletindo maior produ o de massa seca. Na área de sequeiro, o teor de MS foi superior (24,7%) ao da área irrigada (18,7%). Quanto à aduba o nitrogenada, houve resposta somente para altura de planta, com comportamento linear, quando da utiliza o de irriga o. Os efeitos da irriga o foram mais determinantes para a produ o da aveia preta que a aduba o nitrogenada. The objective of the study was assessing the effect of the nitrogen and the aspersion irrigation on the growth and dry matter yield of black oats (Avena strigosa Schreb). The experiment was conducted in the Campus of USP in Pirassununga, S o Paulo State. In the study were evaluated four nitrogen levels (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg of N ha-1) and also the presence or absence of the irrigation. The plant variablesevaluated were: mean height, dry matter percentage, yield and growth rate. The results had disclosed to greater height of plant in the irrigated condition, reflecting in the higher production of dry matter. In dry land area, percentage of DM was 24.7% and in irrigatedarea 18.7%. The nitrogen was significantly only for plant mean height that showed linear fit when carried through the irrigation. The effect of the irrigation was better for the production of black oats than nitrogen.
Sward structure and herbage yield of rotationally stocked pastures of 'Marandu' palisadegrass [Brachiaria brizantha (A.Rich.) Stapf] as affected by herbage allowance

Abstract: In ruminant-forage systems herbage allowance (HAL) has a major impact on grazing intensity and sward structure, affecting animals, plants, and ultimately, pasture yield. Data on HAL responses of tropical cultivated pastures are scarce and this information may be useful in optimizing pasture utilization. The objective of this study was to describe and contrast sward structure and herbage accumulation responses of 'Marandu' palisadegrass [Brachiaria brizantha (A.Rich.) Stapf] pastures to HAL during two grazing seasons (warm-rainy season of 2003 and 2004). Treatments were four daily HAL levels, 5, 10, 15 and 20 kg herbage mass per 100 kg live weight (%) in a rotational stocking system with 35 days of grazing cycle (28-day rest; 7-d grazing). Post-graze swards were shorter (~17 cm) under 5% HAL. For the other HAL levels, postgraze sward height increased throughout the experiment (21 to 50 cm). Changes in sward light interception (LI) were highly associated with height, but differed across HALs in 2004. Early in the 2003 season, HAL increases resulted in linear increase of the daily herbage accumulation rate (HAR; 47, 66, 78, and 98 kg DM ha-1 d-1 for 5, 10, 15 and 20%-HAL, respectively). For the subsequent grazing cycles of 2003 and all through 2004, HAR decreased with increasing HAL. This was associated with the excessive increase in sward height and mean forage mass, caused by lower grazing intensity. The use of lax (high) HAL to maximize animal performance, especially 10, 15 and 20%-HAL, resulted in decreased pasture performance (lower herbage accumulation, HAC) in palisadegrass pastures.

Abstract: As características agron micas da pastagem dependem da qualidade do solo. Neste trabalho foram avaliados os efeitos de tipos e doses de calcário, com e sem incorpora o, em algumas características agron micas de uma pastagem degradada de Panicum maximum Jacq. cv. Tobiat , num Latossolo Vermelho distrófico. As avalia es ocorreram durante quatro cortes consecutivos no período das chuvas ("ver o") de 1995/96 e um corte no período seco ("inverno") em 1996. A produ o de matéria seca do capim-Tobiat aumentou com o método de incorpora o com grade, devido ao efeito mecanico, porém n o respondeu aos tipos e doses de calcário, sendo observadas as maiores produ es no 4o corte ("ver o"). Foram observados aumentos na cobertura de solo pela planta forrageira para os cortes de ver o, com decréscimo no de inverno, porém com valor superior ao do início de ver o, enquanto que a área de solo descoberto apresentou comportamento oposto permanecendo constante a participa o das plantas invasoras. Na avalia o de perfilhamento encontrou-se resposta à incorpora o, sendo consistente com os dados de produ o.
Efeito residual da silicatagem no solo e na produtividade do capim-marandu sob pastejo

Abstract: basic slag consists of calcium silicate and is an alternative for soil acidity correction. this study evaluated the residual effects of calcium silicate application on the chemical properties of a rhodic hapludox in a rotation system with brachiaria grass under different grazing intensities. the experiment was a complete randomized block design, where the plots consisted of grazing intensities, determined by the forage supply of 50, 100, 150 and 200 kg t-1 of ms/ pv, respectively, and the subplots of surface applications of calcium silicate in combination with dolomitic limestone ( 0 + 0; 2 + 0; 4 + 0; 6 + 0; 2 + 4; 4 + 2 and 0 + 6 t ha-1,) with four replications. evaluations were carried out in two seasons (summer and winter) and at three soil depths (0-10, 10-20 and 20-40 cm). the results of residual calcium silicate and limestone effects 720 days after application were positive for soil ph in cacl2, exchangeable ca, mg and k, concentration, h + al values, and base saturation. a forage supply of 200 kg t-1 and the limestone treatment (0 + 6 t ha-1) increased ph in cacl2 and base saturation values, mainly in the 0-10 cm layer. the soil silicon levels were influenced by the applied calcium silicate doses, but they resulted in no significant leaf si concentration. the chemical-bromatological composition of the forage was affected only by forage supply and seasons. the forage supply, seasons and seasons x supply interaction influenced the pre-grazing dry matter production. the yield was highest at 200 kg t-1 and lowest at 50 kg t-1 forage supply in both seasons. supply and seasons influenced the after-grazing forage residue. the highest rates of dry matter accumulation were obtained with forage supplies of 50 and 100 kg t-1 and application of 2 t ha-1 calcium silicate.
