Abstract: Several allergic phenomena that affect humans can be caused by contact with dust mites that are found in homes, which provide nutrition and temperature and humidity for its development. The objective of this study was to characterize the environment (room, double room and single room) and microenvironment (sofa bed and single bed) according to their physical characteristics, and quantify the amount of mites per gram of dust. 30 randomly selected households, where they were collected house dust samples from selected microenvironments. The owners of homes have signed a consent form and answered a questionnaire about the characteristics of the residence. At the time of collection of dust was measured in the temperature and relative humidity. The homes of masonry with over 10 years and tile floors were the most in the study, where thefrequency of weekly cleaning with a damp cloth and sweep was the most used, and the microenvironment of the single bed that had the largest number of mites per gram of dust. Thus, the frequency of cleaning should be more careful in the microenvironments of residents suffering from allergy.Vários fen menos alérgicos que acometem o homem podem ser decorrentes do contato com ácaros de poeira domiciliar que s o encontrados em residências, as quais disponibilizam nutri o e temperatura e umidade adequadas ao seu desenvolvimento.

Abstract: Various allergic phenomena that affect the man may be the result of contact with household dust mites that are found in homes, which provide nutrition and appropriate temperature and humidity for theirdevelopment. The objective of this study was to identify the acari fauna of the city of Ituverava / SP. Samples were collected from house dust in 30 homes of the urban perimeter, randomly selected for the sampling was reliable for the population of mites in the city. The owners of the households answered a questionnaire on thecharacteristics of the residence. At the time of collection to the measured temperature and relative humidity. In all samples of dust examined was found house dust mites. The main family observed was The Pyroglyphidae with Dermatophagoides farinae, Euroglyphus maynei and Dermatophagoides evansi. The second family most found was Cheyletidae. There was also a large number of mites in different stages of the development, showing that they were in the reproductive period. We suggest the inclusion of the extracts of the mites in the Acari fauna of Ituverava / SP in the skin tests used to assess the patient with suspected of atopy, allowing an adjustment ofthe antigens used in skin tests for diagnosis of atopic diseases.Vários fen menos alérgicos que acometem o homem podem ser decorrentes do contato com ácaros de poeira domiciliar que s o encontrados em residências, as quais disponibilizam nutri o e temperatura e umidade adequadas ao seu desenvolvimento.

Abstract: application of co2 through water reduces the soil solution ph, causing variations in nutrient mobility and consequent effects on the absorption. the objective of this study was to analyze the effects of carbon dioxide rates supplied by drip irrigation in the production of capsicum frutescens l. crop. a randomized block design with four treatments and eight replications was used. the treatments were four rates of co2:0 (t1), 451.95 (t2); 677.93 (t3) and 903.92 (t4) kg ha-1. the fruits were counted and weighed; the length and the diameter were obtained from an average of 20 fruits per plant, randomly taken, from each treatment in the plot. the quadratic effect (p < 0.01) occurred for co2 on the yield and there was quadratic effect (p < 0.05) of the rates on the number of fruits. there were no effects of co2 rates on the green matter, dry matter and fruit length and diameter. the t2 treatment provided greater yield and higher number of fruits per plant with an increase of 16 and 26%, respectively in relation to t1 (without co2). co2 application favored the increase in the yield because of the greater number of fruits per plant in the tabasco pepper crop.

Abstract: The Cebus monkey displays a high capacity for adaptation to urbanenvironments, and its high level of encephalization has generated great interest by scientific community to study it. The study of the vascularization of the arm of Cebus is important because of its arboreal habits. Twenty-four animals donated by Ibama (Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) from the city of Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais State, Brazil, and housed in the anatomy collections of the Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU) and the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) were used. The arterialsystem of these animals was injected with coloring latex, after which the arteries were dissected using stereoscopic microscope or the naked eye. In general terms, the findings on the brachial vessels of the Cebus monkey are identical to those found in humans and inother primates. In specific terms, the most outstanding variation was the small size or the absence of the brachial artery in Cebus. The arterial model of Cebus corroborates its arboreal behavior and constant use of its thoracic limbs.

The researches in Cebus libidinosus has been reali zed because less known about your morphophisiology and its expressive psychomotor development comparative with Old World primates. The shoulder regions deserve special attention because behavior paste and objects manipulations. Twenty four Cebus specimens were donated by the “Bra zilian Institute for Environment and Recyclable Natural Resources” (IBAMA), from Sete Lagoas, MG, Brazil, and sacrificed according to recommendations of the “Brazilian College of Animal Experimentation” (COBEA), keeper in University Federal of Goiás and University Federal of Uberlandia. The arteries system these animals were injected with latex colored and afterward the arteries were dissected on stereoscopic microscopy. In large majority, number and distribution of arteries of Cebus are similar for humans, others primates and domestics animals, but the frequency and origin are different. In general terms the arteries of shoulders of Cebus monkey origin of common trunk of axilar arteries and no individual branches, differently i
