Síndrome de Burnout e suporte social no trabalho: a percep??o dos profissionais de enfermagem de hospitais públicos e privados

Abstract: this study investigated nurses' perceptions of the influence of social support for burnout syndrome. a survey of 231 nursing staff at four public and private hospitals in the central part of the rio grande do sul was carried out. the results reveal that nurses suffer moderately from the syndrome and those at public hospitals suffered more and had less support at work when compared to those working at private hospitals. moreover, using multiple regression, in the public sector the model of emotional exhaustion was foreseen by the informational social support and confidence factors, in 31% explained variance. in the private sector, the personal accomplishment dimension, was explained in 23% by the factors informational social support, confidence and clarity and agility of the information, showing the influence of social support at work for the burnout syndrome.

Abstract: Neste trabalho, investigou-se a percep o dos pro ssionais de enfermagem sobre a in uência do suporte social na incidência da Síndrome de Burnout. Para tanto, utilizou-se uma survey junto a 231 colaboradores de quatro hospitais públicos e privados do Rio Grande do Sul. Os resultados revelam que tais pro ssionais apresentam grau moderado da Síndrome, sendo que os entrevistados dos hospitais públicos evidenciaram maiores índices da doen a e, consequentemente, menor suporte social no trabalho, quando comparados aos indivíduos dos hospitais privados. Além disso, através dos modelos de regress o múltipla, nas institui es públicas, o modelo Esgotamento Emocional foi previsto pelos fatores suporte social informacional e con an a, em 31% da variancia explicada. Abstract: O objetivo deste artigo consiste em compreender como se estabelecem asintera es entre valores do trabalho e gênero na percep o de gerentes do setorbancário, bem como identificar os valores laborais adotados por estes profissionais,comparando a percep o de homens e mulheres. A estratégia metodológicautilizada constitui-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, que teve como empresa focal umaagência bancária pública, localizada na cidade de Santa Maria-RS. Os sujeitosinvestigados foram sete gerentes, sendo quatro do sexo masculino e três do sexofeminino. Os principais resultados encontrados exp em que os gerentes, de maneirageral, priorizam a Estabilidade e as Rela es Sociais. As mulheres atribuem maiorimportancia à variável fazer o que gosta, pertencente à dimens o Realiza o noTrabalho; a independência financeira, associada ao fator Estabilidade e acoopera o, pertencente às Rela es Sociais. Por outro lado, os homens, quandocomparados às mulheres, atribuíram maior importancia à realiza o, pertencente aofator Realiza o no Trabalho. Além disso, os gerentes compartilham a ideia que oshomens têm como valores prioritários a racionalidade, o desejo de controle e aindividualidade, enquanto que as mulheres priorizam a colabora o e a coletividade. Abstract The study aims at comprehending how the interactions among work values andgender are established by the bank sector managers as well as identifying the laborvalues adopted by these professionals by comparing men and women perceptions.The methodological strategy is constituted by a qualitative research which is based ina public bank agency, located in Santa Maria city, in Rio Grande do Sul state. Theparticipants investigated were seven managers, four male and three female. Themain results found demonstrate that the managers, in general, emphasize theStability and the Social Relationships. The women attribute much value to the variantDoing what they like to which belongs to the dimension Realized in Work; theFinancial Independence, associated to the factor of Stability and the Cooperation,both belonged to the Social Relations variant. In another side, the men, whencompared to the women, they attribute much importance to the Realized, a variantbelonged to the Realized in work. Besides, the managers share the idea that menhave as values the rationality, the desire of control and individuality, while womenemphasize the collaboration and collectivity.

Abstract:

Objective: To compare the performance of working memory in children of 5 years and 1 month to 6 years and 11 months of public and private Elementary Schools. Methods: 34 subjects were evaluated for both genders composing the GI and GIII public education aged 5 - 6 years; GII and GIV private education aged 5 - 6 years, with an average age of 6 years and 11 months. All subjects were submitted to the Working Memory Assessment Protocol. Results: There were statistically significant differences between the public school and private school in tests of verbal span of serial repetition in direct order with words like phonology and semantics and different words with different semantics and phonology. Between groups, a statistically significant difference occurred between GIII and GIV in verbal span, free recall for polysyllabic words with different semantics and complex phonology; between GI and GII, GIII and GII, GIII and GIV, the verbal span of words with phonology and different semantics, and between GIII and GIV in verbal span of words with the same phonology and semantics. The variables in these groups are age and type of school. Conclusion: With advancing age and grades, the developments of working memory and best performance of working memory were for public school children aged 6 years.

Abstract:

Proteins recovered were obtained from Whitemouth Croaker (Micropogonias furnieri) byproducts and their physico-chemical and functional properties were evaluated. The proximate composition, presented 8.64% ± 0.10% of moisture, 85.33% ± 0.12% of protein, 2.69% ± 0.09% of ashes and 2.16% ± 0.12% of lipids, in dry basis. The highest solubility was obtained in pH 11 (93.24%), the maximum water holding capacity was presented at pH 11 (25.71 mL H2O/gprotein), the oil holding capacity was 13.71 mL/gprotein and the digestibility in vitro was 91.32% ± 0.15%. The electro-phoretic profile was observed typical of the myofibrillar proteins, with the appearance of the heavy chain of myosin (220 kDa) and actin (50 kDa). The results show that the products of low commercial value of fish that are usually used for the production of animal feed or simply discarded, contributing to environmental pollution, may be used to produce products with a greater added value.

A influência dos valores organizacionais na percep o de suporte organizacional com base na concep o dos colaboradores do setor bancário.

Abstract: Este estudo tem como objetivo compreender a influência dos valores organizacionais na percep o de suporte organizacional, sob a perspectiva dos colaboradores do setor bancário público e privado. Para o alcance desse objetivo, partiu-se de duas perspectivas teóricas. A primeira refere-se à abordagem de valores organizacionais proposta por Oliveira e Tamayo (2004) e a segunda está associada ao suporte organizacional, conforme Eisenberger, Huntington e Sowa (1986). Realizou-se uma pesquisa de caráter descritivo do tipo survey, para levantamento e análise dos resultados. O instrumento preenchido por 332 colaboradores do setor bancário foi baseado no inventário de perfis de valores organizacionais (IPVO) de Oliveira e Tamayo (2004) e na escala de percep o de suporte organizacional (Epso) desenvolvida por Eisenberger, Huntington e Sowa (1986), validada no contexto brasileiro por Siqueira (1995). Os principais resultados encontrados exp em que os valores organizacionais prioritários das institui es bancárias, segundo a percep o dos colaboradores, foram o domínio e o prestígio, enquanto os valores bem-estar, autonomia e realiza o ocuparam lugares inferiores na hierarquia. Em rela o ao suporte organizacional, este apresentou nível moderado de incidência. Ainda, a análise de regress o múltipla revelou que os valores organizacionais exercem influência na percep o do suporte organizacional. O modelo de regress o indicou que a variável dependente suporte organizacional foi explicada em 70,2% pelos fatores autonomia e realiza o, domínio e bem-estar. Assim, identificou-se que os valores organizacionais exercem influência sobre a percep o de suporte organizacional, corroborando os pressupostos teóricos defendidos por Goodwin, Costa e Adonu (2004) e Goodwin e Giles (2003). Do ponto de vista de sua aplica o, o presente estudo identificou como as prioridades da organiza o est o sendo percebias pelos indivíduos, fornecendo valiosas informa es que podem contribuir para o planejamento de a es voltadas para o desenvolvimento, o bem-estar e a satisfa o dos colaboradores do setor bancário.

Abstract: objective: to identify the most common symptoms of depression in patients with idiopathic ulcerative colitis (uc) and to compare these symptoms of depression with those in patients without uc. method: the sample consisted of 100 adults with ulcerative colitis attending the outpatient clinic for inflammatory bowel diseases of the "hospital das clinicas" of the school of medicine of the university of s?o paulo, who were compared with 100 individuals without the disease. following ethical procedures, each participant answered to the beck depression inventory. results: of the 21 symptoms of depression, six were statistically significant for distortion of body image, inability for work, fatigue, loss of appetite, somatic concerns, and decreased libido. conclusions: patients with uc had more somatic symptoms of depression than patients in the control group. similarity of symptoms of uc with those of depression leads to under diagnosing patients with uc.

Abstract: objective: verify if there is a relationship between crack craving increase and tobacco craving increase in patients hospitalized for detoxification. method: quasi-experimental clinical trial using a quantitative analysis. sample comprised 32 crack-cocaine and tobacco-dependent males, in 2 to 3 weeks of abstinence. a group intervention was conducted to which initially cocaine craving questionnaire-brief (ccqb), qsub (questionnaire of smoking urges-brief) and bai (beck anxiety inventory) were applied. next, crack related images were applied and ccqb, qsub and bai were reapplied. after that, an individual interview was conducted in which a form containing sociodemographic information and data related to the pattern of consumption of psychoactive substances (fsd) and fagerstr?m test for nicotine dependence (ftnd) were applied. results: following the crack related images exposure, there was a significant increase of crack craving, tobacco craving and anxiety symptoms, being them positively correlated. conclusion: results show a significant association between crack craving and tobacco craving, suggesting that tobacco abstinence can help on effectiveness of cocaine dependence treatment.
