Pinning down the Invisible Sneutrino
Kalinowski, J.;Kilian, W.;Reuter, J.;Robens, T.;Rolbiecki, K.
High Energy Physics - Phenomenology , 2008, DOI: 10.1088/1126-6708/2008/10/090
Abstract: For points in SUSY parameter space where the sneutrino is lighter than the lightest chargino and next-to-lightest neutralino, its direct mass determination from sneutrino pair production process at e+e- collider is impossible since it decays invisibly. In such a scenario the sneutrino can be discovered and its mass determined from measurements of two-body decays of charginos produced in pairs at the ILC. Using the event generator WHIZARD we study the prospects of measuring sneutrino properties in a realistic ILC environment. In our analysis we include beamstrahlung, initial state radiation, a complete account of reducible backgrounds from SM and SUSY processes, and a complete matrix-element calculation of the SUSY signal which encompasses all irreducible background and interference contributions. We also simulate photon induced background processes using exact matrix elements. Radiation effects and the cuts to reduce background strongly modify the edges of the lepton energy spectra from which the sneutrino and chargino mass are determined. We discuss possible approaches to measure the sneutrino mass with optimal precision.
One-loop corrections to three-body leptonic chargino decays
Rolbiecki, Krzysztof
High Energy Physics - Phenomenology , 2007,
Abstract: We calculate full one-loop corrections to the genuine three-body decays of the light chargino \chi_1^\pm to \chi^0_1 l^\pm \nu in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We find that the corrections to the decay width can be of the order of a few percent. We show also how radiative corrections affect energy and angular distributions of the final lepton.
Parasites of the round goby, Neogobius melanostomus (Pallas, 1811), an invasive species in the Polish fauna of the Vistula Lagoon ecosystem
Leszek Rolbiecki
Oceanologia , 2006,
Abstract: The round goby, Neogobius melanostomus (Pallas, 1811) was introducedinto southern Baltic waters (including the Vistula Lagoon) fromthe Black Sea and Sea of Azov in the early 1990s. This studydescribes the parasites of the round goby in its new environment. In 2004, 486 round goby specimens from the Vistula Lagoon wereexamined for parasites. The following taxa were identified:Dermocystidiumsp.; Protozoa: Trichodina domerguei domerguei (Wallengren,1897); Digenea:Cryptocotyle concavum (Creplin, 1825),Diplostomum spp.,Tylodelphys clavata (Nordmann, 1831),Bunodera luciopercae (Müller, 1776);Cestoda:Bothriocephalus scorpii (Müller, 1776),Eubothrium crassum (Bloch, 1779),Paradilepis scolecina (Rudolphi, 1819),Proteocephalus filicollis (Rudolphi, 1802),P. gobiorum Dogel et Bychovsky, 1939,Proteocephalus sp.;Nematoda:Anguillicola crassus Kuwahara, Niimi et Itagaki, 1974,Camallanus truncatus (Rudolphi, 1814),Contracaecum spp.,Cystidicoloides ephemeridarum (Linstow, 1872),Dichelyne minutus (Rudolphi, 1819),Hysterothylacium aduncum (Rudolphi, 1802);Acanthocephala:Echinorhynchus gadi Müller, 1776,Pomphorhynchus laevis (Müller, 1776).The parasites found were all local species, already reported fromPoland. Except for Dermocystidium sp., C. concavum,P. gobiorum, and D. minutes, they have already been recorded inother fish species in the Vistula Lagoon. The prevalence andmean intensity of infection was low (18.3%; 4.0 indiv. - thisvalue does not include ciliates). The most frequent parasitesincluded H. aduncum (9.9%, 1.2 indiv.) and A. crassus (9.1%,1.2 indiv.). In addition, Dermocystidium sp., B. luciopercae,E. crassum, P. scolecina, P. filicollis, C. truncatus and C. ephemeridarum are reported from the round goby for the first time. As the fishhas only recently appeared in the Vistula Lagoon, its parasitic fauna has not yet developed to the full.
Budget, fiscal and monetary policy in Poland and demand for transport – forwarding – logistics industry services
Ryszard Rolbiecki
Contemporary Economy , 2013,
Abstract: Macroeconomic policy of a country does not always have an effect on the demand for transport. The lack of a clear relation between the nature of macroeconomic policy and changes in demand for transport services is a consequence of the overall complexity of the economic system. It can also be a result of the lack of consistency between budget and monetary policy. Macroeconomic policy as a tool to control global demand only indirectly affects the changes in demand for transport. Transport activity is in fact determined by changes in the real economy, which directly influence the increase or decrease in demand for transport services.
Macroeconomic surroundings of transport and logistics sector in Poland during the global economic crisis
Ryszard Rolbiecki
Contemporary Economy , 2012,
Abstract: During the last quarter of 2009, Poland has entered a phase of economic growth. Presently, despite the emerging financial problems in the EU zone, positive market sig-nals can still be observed in Poland, for example increase in domestic and external de-mand, incoming orders in the industry sector and production capacity in companies. The-se changes enhance growth of production in the industry and construction sectors, which are perceived as key sectors for generating demand for transport services. Therefore the lack of market signals that indicate economic slowdown means that the conditions for transport and logistics sector development in Poland are not expected to deteriorate. The key threat to the stability of economic growth in Poland, and in consequence to transport and logistics companies, is the excess debt of public finance sector.
Economic condition of the transport, freight forwarding and logistics sector in Poland in the situation of the global economic recession
Ryszard Rolbiecki
Contemporary Economy , 2012,
Abstract: Currently trends of macroeconomic indicators show that economy in Poland, despite the general recession in the EU, is in the stage of economic development. The question is 20 Ryszard Rolbiecki whether these positive signals in the Polish economy in relation to domestic demand, external investment, volume of industrial production and construction are reflected also in the improvement of economic situation in Transport, Freight Forwarding and Logistics (TFL) sector in Poland. Hence the goal of the article is to analyze the economic condition of the TFL sector, which is recognized as one of the most important barometers of the economic growth.
CP violation at one loop in the polarization-independent chargino production in e+e- collisions
Rolbiecki, K.;Kalinowski, J.
High Energy Physics - Phenomenology , 2007, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevD.76.115006
Abstract: Recently Osland and Vereshagin noticed, based on sample calculations of some box diagrams, that in unpolarised e+e- collisions CP-odd effects in the non-diagonal chargino-pair production process are generated at one-loop. Here we perform a full one-loop analysis of these effects and point out that in some cases the neglected vertex and self-energy contributions may play a dominant role. We also show that CP asymmetries in chargino production are sensitive not only to the phase of mu parameter in the chargino sector but also to the phase of stop trilinear coupling A_t.
CP violation in chargino production in e+e- collisions
Rolbiecki, Krzysztof;Kalinowski, Jan
High Energy Physics - Phenomenology , 2007,
Abstract: We present the analysis of CP-violating effects in non-diagonal chargino pair production in e+e- collisions. These effects appear only at the one-loop level. We show that CP-odd asymmetries in chargino production are sensitive to the phases of mu and A_t parameters and can be of the order of a few %.
Epibionts (Paracineta) and parasites (Ellobiopsis) on copepods from Spitsbergen (Kongsfjorden area)
Wojciech Walkusz,Leszek Rolbiecki
Oceanologia , 2007,
Abstract: Parasites of the genus Ellobiopsis and epibiontic ciliatesof the genus Paracineta were found on the body surface of somecopepod taxa collected in the Kongsfjorden area (west Spitsbergen,Svalbard) during summer 2002. Paracineta sp. individuals were noted in Metridia longaand Paraeuchaeta norvegica (0.5% of the population infectedin each species). This study provides the first record of thepresence of Paracineta sp. in the latter species. Remarkably, epibionts were attached exclusively to females. Calanus finmarchicus and C. glacialis were invadedby Ellobiopsis spp., but the level of infection was generally low (0.06% and0.09% of the population infected, respectively). Parasite distributionwithin both host populations was similar - 80% of infected specimenswere at copepodid stage V. This study also provides the firstrecord of C. glacialis serving as a host to Ellobiopsis.
