Software Selection in Manufacturing Industries Using a Fuzzy Multiple Criteria Decision Making Method, PROMETHEE  [PDF]

Abstract: This paper presents an effective decision making framework for software selection in manufacturing industries using a multiple criteria decision making method, Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations (PROMETHEE). The method is improved in the present work by integrating with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is introduced to handle the imprecision of the human decision making process. The proposed decision making framework is practical for ranking competing software products in terms of their overall performance with respect to multiple criteria. An example is included to illustrate the approach.

Abstract:

In Shadow-Fading model, it is difficult to achieve higher Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) due to the effects of large scale fading. The main goal of this paper is to improve the PDR in Shadow-Fading environment. To achieve this objective a protocol has been proposed that discovers backup routes for active sessions. These backup routes salvage the packets of active session in case of active route failure. It is found by research that proactively maintaining backup routes for ac-tive sessions can noticeably improve the PDR in Shadow-Fading environment. This protocol has been implemented with a mechanism of having backup routes and simulations have been conducted by using both node disjoint paths and link disjoint paths. Comparisons have been made between new protocol as well as AODV protocol. Simulation has been carried out using Network Simulator 2 (NS2) and the results show that the proposed QoSAR protocol exhibits higher PDR than AODV protocol in Shadow-fading environment.

Abstract: Rhizobia are vital for nitrogen input, fertility of soil and legume plant growth. Knowledge on rhizobial diversity from arid and semiarid areas is important for dry land agriculture in the context of climatic change and for economic utilization. This study provides morphological, biochemical, stress tolerance and plant growth promoting characteristics of fifteen rhizobial isolates from the nodules of same number of wild legumes and one isolate from cultivated Arachis hypogea from semi-arid region, Tirupati. The bacterial isolates were confirmed as rhizobia based on colony morphology and biochemical tests. Based on the colour change of YMA-BTB medium, eight isolates were identified as slow growers and six were fast growers. The isolates differed in growth pattern, colony morphology, antibiotic resistance at higher concentrations and uniformity in utilization of carbon and nitrogen sources. The isolates are tolerant to NaCl up to one percent, displayed normal growth at temperatures 28 - 30, at neutral pH and poor growth at pH 5and 9. The isolates varied in the production of EPS and IAA, positive for phosphate solubilization and siderophore formation. This functional diversity displayed by the isolates can be utilised for the legume crop production by cross inoculation.

Abstract: a simple reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed for the simultaneous determination of rosiglitazone (rgl) and gliclazide (glc) in puré and pharmaceutical dosage forms. aphenomenex gemini reverse phase c column (150x4.6mm i.d., 5μ) was used with a mobile phase containing a mixture of acetonitrile and water (ph 3 adjusted with ortho phosphoric acid) in the ratio of 70: 30. the flow rate was 0.6ml/min. and effluents were monitored at 250nm and eluted at 2.41min. (rgl) and 5.22min. (glc). calibration curve was plotted with a range from 0.025-2.5μg/ml for rgl and 0.08 to 8μg/ml for glc. the assay was validated for the parameters like accuracy (>97.87% recovery), precision (intra-day and inter-day with %rsd < 2), robustness and system suitability parameters. henee the method was found to suitable for the routine quality control of the drugs in puré and pharmaceutical dosage forms.

Abstract: The primary factor of information mining is to gain understanding of the information, and pull knowledge (inter-relational patterns) from the data. Applying data mining techniques in diabetic information can enhance systematic analysis. We propose a changed equal distance binning interval approach to discretizing continuous valued attributes. The approximate distance of the desired intervals is preferred based throughout the thoughts of healthcare expert and is offered as an input parameter to the model. First we have converted numeric attributes into categorical form based on above proficiency. Modified Apriori algorithm was utilized to come up with rules on Hospital diabetes information. We discover that the usually forgotten pre-processing methods in knowledge discovery are the most important elements in determining the achievements of a information mining application. Lastly we have produced the association regulations which have been useful to identify general associations within the information, to understand the union involving the calculated areas whether or not the patient goes on to cultivate diabetes or otherwise not. Multilevel based association rules are implemented on Diabetes data for analysis.

Abstract: Vero cells are utilized for production of rabies vaccine. This study deals with the optimize quantity media require for the rabies vaccine production in the smooth roller surface. The rabies virus (Pasteur vaccine strain) is infected to monolayer of the various experimented bottles. To analyze the optimal quantity of media for the production of rabies viral harvest during the process of Vero cell derived rabies vaccine. The trials are started from 200 to 400 mL (PTARV-1, PTARV-2, PTARV-3, PTARV-4 and PTARV-5). The samples are taken in an appropriate time intervals for analysis of In Process Quality Control (IPQC) tests. The collected viral harvests are further processed to rabies vaccine in a pilot level and in addition to scale up an industrial level. Based on the evaluation the PTARV-2 (250 mL) show highly encouraging results for the Vero cell derived rabies vaccine production.

Abstract: Two independent molecules comprise the asymmetric unit in the title compound, C18H20N2O4. One of the molecules exhibits disorder in one of its 4-piperidone rings, which is disposed over two orientations [site occupancy of the major component = 0.651 (5)]. The first independent molecule and the minor component of the second disordered molecule are virtually superimposable. The central four C atoms in the major component of the disordered molecule have an opposite orientation. All the 4-piperidone rings have a chair conformation. The carbonyl groups in each molecule have approximate anti conformations [O=C...C=O = 146.2 (2) and 159.9 (2)°]. The 4-piperidone rings lie to opposite sides of the central benzene ring in both molecules. In the crystal, molecules are linked by C—H...O interactions. The crystal studied was found to be a non-merohedral twin (twin law 1 0 0, 0 1 0, 0 1/2 1), the fractional contribution of the minor component being approximately 11%.

Abstract: In the structure of the title compound, C27H39N3O3, each of the (4-oxopiperidin-1-yl)methyl residues adopts a flattened chair conformation (with the N and carbonyl groups being oriented to either side of the central C4 plane) and they occupy positions approximately orthogonal to the central benzene ring [Cbenzene—C—Cmethylene—N torsion angles 103.4 (2), 104.4 (3) and 71.9 (3)°]; further, two of these residues are oriented to one side of the central benzene ring with the third to the other side. In the crystal packing, supramolecular layers in the ab plane are sustained by C—H...O interactions.
