S o analisadas as particularidades técnicas do trabalho clínico neste ambulatório. This study was elaborated based on the work experience in a Mental Health Integral Attention Center from the public health service. It analyses the technical peculiarities from the clinical work in this out-patient clinic. The article questions about the possibility of psychoanalysis insertion in the public health, a milieu very different from its traditional acting place. The study concludes that the psychoanalytical insertion in this milieu seems to be possible and even necessary, but needs interest both from the public health politics and from the psychoanalysts, that have to overcome their own resistances.

Severo, Ana Kalliny;Dimenstein, Magda;

Abstract: the sustainability and function of outpatient mental health clinics, which have historically been part of the psychiatric hospital system, need to be considered in the context of the current changes driven by the psychosocial care strategy. the objective of this research was to understand and analyze the operation of a mental health outpatient clinic and its link with the network of services of the national health system. the methodological and theoretical basis used for the institutional analysis was the social-analytical perspective. the performed procedures were: bibliographic and documentary research, analysis of the record service, participant observation of the institutional routine and daily records in the field and conversation circles with the workers and users. the mental health clinic serves 214 users who seek mainly psychiatric and psychological care, special rights, leisure, social life and professional courses. the primary issue related to the service network was identified as the disconnection between mental health services and primary care. for data analysis, we list two points of argument: 1. the demands for services in the outpatient mental health care clinic and 2. disconnection mental health-primary care. the analyses indicated a failure of network care strategies, the need to revise the clinic protocols and the existence of care limitations due to a lack of sector integration policies.

Schmidt, Moema Belloni;Figueiredo, Ana Cristina;
Revista Latinoamericana de Psicopatologia Fundamental , 2009, DOI: 10.1590/S1415-47142009000100009
Abstract: the present article discusses the evaluation of the quality of the services rendered at mental health centers (caps) and sees such evaluation as a permanent instrument for reflecting on the centers' activities. evaluation therefore goes beyond the concept of a view from outside. in this case, it consists of a view from inside, while work is being carried out or a posteriori. lines of evaluation, which can be applied to analyses and to the organization of everyday routines at such centers, are also discussed. the author suggests three areas of activities that should be evaluated: access, first interviews and accompaniment, as these are considered fundamental aspects of the work carried out at caps. part of a case study of evaluation for a doctoral thesis written in 2006 is presented here. the case material was collected during supervision meetings with the staff, a setting that is considered an essential activity for analyzing the organization and dynamics of the work carried out at caps. from this perspective, supervisions serve as permanent evaluators of everyday activities at caps.

Open Journal of Psychiatry (OJPsych) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ojpsych.2012.22019
Abstract: Objective: This study presents the psychometric properties of the Charleston Psychiatric Outpatient Satisfaction Scale—Hebrew Version adapted for use in Israel. Methods: Two subversions were constructed: one for adult clients—Mental Health Client Satisfaction Scale—Hebrew (MHCSS-H) and one for parents (or other caregivers) accompanying children with mental health problems—Mental Health Parent Satisfaction Scale—Hebrew (MHPSS-H). The scales were administered to representative samples of 453 adult outpatients with severe mental disorders and 255 parents, respectively. Results: Internal consistency was excellent for both scales (Cronbach’s alpha coefficients 0.94 and 0.88, respectively). For both subvertsions, there were moderate to strong correlations between satisfaction with five service domains (Availability/Accessibility, Quality of care, Explanation/ Participation, Staff’s attitude, and Facilities conditions) and anchor items “Overall quality of the care provided” and “Would you recommend this clinic to a friend or relative should they need treatment?”) scores. Clients with more time in treatment were more satisfied with all the service domains, except for the staff's attitude domain. Conclusions: The results suggest that both Hebrew subversions are appropriate for routine satisfaction surveys in mental health outpatient settings and for research purposes in Israel.

Cadernos de Saúde Pública , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-311X2006000500018
Abstract: this article presents a preliminary discussion of potential methodological tools for qualitative research on the network of referral centers for psycho-social care (caps) in the brazilian unified health system (sus). the relevance of mental health within the field of public health is examined. the study focuses on the high prevalence of mental disorders and the disproportionate lack of studies on the interface between mental health and public health. the establishment of an interdisciplinary field between public health and mental health is proposed to meet common needs by achieving similar perspectives in knowledge and practice. a particular group of tools is proposed, emphasizing the importance of reclaiming and guaranteeing the roles of various social actors to shape the assessment process, the need for collecting and standardizing academic studies on the topic, and the importance of promoting a new research field focusing on public health policies to support policymakers, managers, and health teams in reshaping their practices.

Oliveira, Evangelina X. G. de;Carvalho, Marilia Sá;Travassos, Cláudia;
Cadernos de Saúde Pública , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-311X2004000200006
Abstract: this article presents two types of networks organized according to patient caseload in health services, concerning both primary hospital care (most frequent hospital procedures) and tertiary care (high-cost procedures). data on inpatient care in brazil in 2000 obtained from the hospital information system of the unified national health system were aggregated by place of residence and hospital location at the municipal level. both the network structure and the node (municipality) hierarchy were established using the dominant flow approach. in addition, a typology of flows was applied to indicate the degree of connection across the networks. primary hospital care networks reach most of the country, and few municipalities are not connected to the network. relatively few cities provide higher-level services, and almost half of the municipalities are unconnected. the ministry of health aims to provide access to frequently used health services near the users' place of residence, and this goal appears to be feasible in the short run. on the other hand, much remains to be done to ensure widespread access to tertiary care.
