Thermal and mechanical properties of PVDF/PANI blends

Abstract: poly(vinylidene fluoride)/polyaniline blends of different composition were synthesized by chemical polymerization of aniline in a mixture of poly(vinylidene fluoride) and n,n-dimethylformamide and their thermal and mechanical behavior was investigated as a function of the polyaniline doping level and the composition using thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis and tensile tests techniques. the results showed the blend obtained presents a good thermal stability with low weight loss up to 300 oc, assigned to water and solvents evaporation. the glass transition and melting point is not affected by the pani content in the blend, showing that polymers are no miscible. the films produced present a good sustainability; however the presence of the conducting polymer in the blend increases the tensile strength and the young modulus, while diminishes the elongation at break, as compared to pure pvdf.

Abstract: in this article we discuss the initial and continuing training of workers who will be assigned the less complex tasks in the workplace. we analyze the performance of such initial and continuing training - terminology used in the executive education act 9494/96 - in brazil nowadays. the ministry of labor made such training feasible through the national training plan (plano nacional de qualifica??o - pnq). we also discuss the training that aims at generating income and overcoming the condition of "assisted". such training is called productive insertion, and it takes place in the reference centers for social assistance (centros de referência da assistência social - cras), affiliated to the ministry of social development.

Abstract: after an introduction referring to the origins of the sandbox technique and the authors responsible for its study and divulgation, the article describes the main phases of the psychic development according to c. g. jung and e. neumann - two authors whose theories support the sandbox process. then follows the characterization of the material used and the therapeutic procedure. it is also described the natural evolution of the sandbox pictures and its interpretation in terms of the psychological development of the individuals. the article finally mentions the utility of the sandbox technique and also the way in which different patients may benefit from this process.

Abstract: although noroviruses (novs) were the first viral agents linked to gastrointestinal disease, for a long time they have been considered secondary cause of gastroenteritis, second to rotaviruses as etiologic agents. the development of molecular techniques in diagnosing nov provided a clearer insight into the epidemiological impact of these viruses, which are currently recognized not only as the leading cause of non-bacterial gastroenteritis outbreaks, but also as a major cause of sporadic gastroenteritis in both children and adults. this review focuses on the required knowledge to understand their morphology, genetics, transmission, pathogenesis, and control. since no vaccine is available, prevention of nov infection relies mainly on strict community and personal hygiene measures.

Abstract: Time Management has been a topic of high relevance, and subject of extensive discussion, especially in the corporate world. Since the first studies of Classical Administration, as for example the "Motion and Time Study," conducted by Taylor, at the time of the Industrial Revolution, through the Technological Revolution in the early 1990s until today, there have always been questions about how it would be possible to better manage time. The challenge is not to manage time, but relationships managed by professionals. The aim of this study was to understand how the adoption of techniques of Time Management can serve as a tool for increasing productivity and balance the career versus personal life. The literature review was supported by a survey in two stages. The first step applied as descriptive, with the intention of identifying what were called "time wasters" most common within the sample surveyed and diagnose the profile time management of all the participants. In the later stage, we performed a case study, in which, for a period of 30 days, voluntary participants were instructed to use some tools such as software and forms available on the market for organization and effective time management. The results proved that a considerable number of people do not know how to manage and take their time and suffering from the negative effects of work overload and lack of motivation that is constantly tied to this scenario. The outcome of the case study found that the tools of organization and time management are available and promote good improvement in how you manage time. But you need commitment and discipline that uses these mechanisms, since the change in how they manage their time is primarily a behavioral change. Abstract: O presente artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa cujo objetivo foi identificar as percep es dos professores de Biologia do município de Piracicaba, SP, e dos alunos concluintes de um curso de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas em rela o à presen a da Educa o Ambiental em sua forma o inicial, a fim de discutir a inser o da temática na universidade em geral e, especificamente, na licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas. Os resultados indicam que o professor de Biologia ainda necessita de uma forma o mais crítica em rela o à educa o ambiental e que, numa perspectiva complexa, essa forma o necessita ser tratada de forma mais rigorosa na universidade e nas licenciaturas em Ciências Biológicas para que os profissionais formados possam atuar, efetivamente, na forma o cidad para uma sociedade mais sustentável. The article shows the results of a survey aimed at identifying the perceptions of Biology teachers from Piracicaba, SP, and of graduating Biological Sciences students. The presence of environmental education in their initial training is investigated in order to discuss the introduction of the theme at the university in general and specifically in the Biological Sciences. The results indicate that the biology teachers still need more critical environmental education training and this training, from a complex perspective, needs to be intense in order that degreed professionals can effectively act in civic education for a more sustainable society.

Abstract: this issue is about a teaching methodology developed by the medical-surgical subject of nursing on graduate course at universidade estadual de londrina. the teachers used the student-centered teaching process based on interpersonal relationship and problem solving method. the aim was to evaluate the last period of nursing students perception about developing of cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities when compared with others subjects of nursing course since 1985 until 1990. this method of teaching supplied more integration among theory and practice, more ability in developing library search and oral exposition, besides more active student participation on his apprenticeship process.
