Zanolla, Silvia Rosa da Silva;
Psicologia & Sociedade , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-71822012000100002
Abstract: this article discusses the mediation concept based in vigotsky and adorno, reputed authors in social and educational psychology. although these authors are influenced by marxism and focused on culture, their approaches are different. vigotsky outlines the concept of mediation from the social-historical perspective, while adorno analyzes the contradictions in meditation under a critical theory by the frankfurtian. on the other hand, vigotsky understands the mediation as cultural process by learning, based on marxian referential and the critique of developmental naturalization in the acquisition of superior functions. in vigotski the mediation establishes a liaison, the sign, the activity and the consciousness interact socially. for adorno, the mediation, if mystified as a result of action and subjectivity, surpasses itself a contradiction: the objectification of culture and education and in the formation; risk of establishing a false consciousness. the epistemological discussion goes beyond sociology and psychology and slips in the subject-object relation.

Creative Education (CE) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/ce.2016.710155
Abstract: This article has a main goal to present results of the reflection on some aspects of historical challenges for initial and continuing teacher formation in Brazil. Our reflections have been prepared and envisaged in our defenses in processes that must happen under solid offered foundations, centrally, in direct relation to university contexts signed on the tripod teaching, research and extension. However, we consider that the legal aspects that have guided the formation process of teachers in Brazil have favored both the theoretical emptying of these processes, as certain strangeness, by teachers of their own teaching. We believe in the end that the formation process of teachers in Brazil, in a direct relationship with the teaching, research and university extension, should provide training and work conditions so that teachers can take as posture and as conception of the world the search for radical (root) apprehension of the educational phenomenon in its essence, beyond what it is immediately noticeable, in an unveiling effort of the laws that produced such phenomenon.

Semina : Ciências Agrárias , 2010,
Abstract: The aim of this study was to report the gastrointestinal parasitism in white-lipped peccary (Tayassu pecari) in Brazil. Fecal samples of three animals kept in captivity in the state of Rio Grande do Sul were collected. Samples were analyzed by the centrifugal flotation technique with zinc sulfate and by the Kinyon staining method. All animals showed mixed infection by cysts of Giardia sp. and Balantidium sp. and by oocysts of Cryptosporidium sp. and Eimeria sp. This is the first report of these four genera of protozoa in T. pecari.
Digestive and functional properties of a partially hydrolyzed cassava solid waste with high insoluble fiber concentration
Raupp, Dorivaldo da Silva;Rosa, Danielle Amorim;Marques, Silvia Helena de Paula;Banzatto, David Ariovaldo;
Scientia Agricola , 2004, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-90162004000300008
Abstract: starch factories generate large amounts of cassava solid waste. a small amount is utilized for animal feed but most of it is discharged with deleterious effects to the envirounment. a edible food with a high content of insoluble dietary fiber (60.9%), named "partially hidrolyzed cassava waste" (phcw), was prepared from industrial cassava solid waste by an enzymatic process. phcw or wheat bran (wb) were fed to model rats and both promoted digestive function effects, but phcw produced the greatest effect. the insoluble fiber constituent from phcw (and not the soluble fiber), promoted the greatest fecal bulking, fecal weight and defecation frequency in rats, as compared to wb. such results indicate that the partially hydrolyzed cassava waste presents digestive function properties which allow it to be used as an adequate source of insoluble dietary fiber in the formulation of functional food for human nutrition.

Abstract: Megaesophagus is a common cause of regurgitation being one of the possible etiologies the myasthenia gravis characterized by a neuromuscular disorder that result in weakness of the skeletal muscles, of the esophagus, of the larynx and of the pharynx. The present report describes a case of a female German shepherd dog, with report of muscles weakness and frequent vomits, which was diagnosed as a megaesophagus secondary to myasthenia gravis. The radiograph of the animal presented an accentuated cervical and thoracic megaesophagus. After the institution of the recommended therapeutic protocol the animal presented visible improvement when walking, however the regurgitations worsened and it began to present cough. New radiograph was accomplished with presence, besides megaesophagus, of aspiration pneumonia. The owner opted for the euthanasia of the animal and the necropsy revealed severe pneumonia and an accentuated dilation of the posterior portion of the esophagus, collaborating with subsidies for an unfavorable prognostic of the case.
