O conceito de transferência nos "Estudos sobre a histeria" (Breuer & Freud, 1895)
Bissoli, Sidney da Silva Pereira;
Paidéia (Ribeir?o Preto) , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0103-863X2006000100004
Abstract: this article is part of a larger project, in which it intends to examine how the concept of transference is dealt in freudian's psychoanalysis. as the notion of transference appears by the first time in chapter 4 of "estudos sobre a histeria", this work acquires the status of the starting point to the examination of that. it verifies that the notion of transference can't ever be understood as the whole relationship that a patient establishes with his psychoanalyst. it can't either be understood as the total perturbation in this type of relationship, as it was further interpreted by other authors. it is only a very specific point of this relationship, in which, through a false bond, and in an uncommon way, the figure of the doctor replaces someone from the patient's past.

METHODS OF DETERMINING LAND COST IN THE FOREST ACTIVITY
Márcio Lopes da Silva,José Luiz Pereira de Rezende,Vicente Batista Lima Junior,Sidney Araújo Cordeiro
CERNE , 2008,
Abstract: This work studied the importance of land cost and pointed out the different approaches of including it in the economicanalysis of forest projects and in the wood producing cost, discussed each method and, by comparing them, it was pointed out the bestmethod of approaching the problem. The following methods were analyzed: Interests on the value of the land; to consider that the landvalues changeover time at real interest rate; to include land value as cost and later, at harvest time, as revenue; and Soil ExpectationValue (SEV). It was concluded that all methods differ one from each other, because they are based on different economic principles. Themethod of interests on land value indicated more coherent result with the market value, while the SEV was most sensible to thediscounting rate variation and it catches only land productive value. However none of them considered the land market value and itsreal valorization overtime.

Coutinho, Evandro da S. F.;Silva, Sidney Dutra da;Paiva, Carlos Henrique Assun??o;Freitas, Gustavo Gouvea de;Miranda, Luciano Pereira;Mendon?a, Rosania;
Cadernos de Saúde Pública , 1999, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-311X1999000300012
Abstract: accuracy of the information is essential to produce unbiased estimates of the association between exposure and outcome. we are carrying out a case-control study which aim is to investigate the association between the use of medication and falling injuries leading to hospitalisation in the elderly. as there is no gold-standard available, we estimated the reliability of the information on the use of these drugs within the 24 hours and two weeks before the fall using a test-retest strategy. sixty-one individuals aged 60 years or more were re-interviewed within an interval of 5-7 days after the first interview. kappa coefficients were high, showing a good consistence of collected data on medication recently used. among the variables investigated, only gender showed an association with reliability of the information, which was more consistent among women compared to men.

Abstract: purpose: to evaluate associations between parental exposure to pesticides and births with congenital defects in s?o francisco valley, as well as the demographic profile and the defects found. methods: in this case-control study, each case (newborns with congenital defects) had two controls (healthy newborns). the subjects were born in the city of petrolina, in s?o francisco valley, in 2009. the sample consisted of 42 cases and 84 controls. data were gathered by a structured questionnaire adapted from latin-american collaborative study of congenital malformations (eclamc), with the addition of questions related to exposure to pesticides, analysis of the medical records and contact with the hospital's pediatrician. the χ2 test was performed with a significance level of 5% to identify the variables with the greatest differences between case and control groups. odds ratio (or) for the sample was calculated, as well as the or obtained by logistic regression analysis, and finally, multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed. results: there was a greater exposure to pesticides during pregnancy in infants with congenital defects compared to healthy subjects. increased risk was observed when at least one parent was exposed to pesticides (adjusted or = 1.3; 95%ci = 0.4 - 3.9). the sociodemographic variables associated with congenital defects were: low school level, low weight, prematurity, young parents, chronic diseases, and physical factors. multiple malformations and defects of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems were more frequently found. conclusions: the present study suggests an association between exposure to pesticides and the occurrence of congenital defects, although the data were not significant.
ética pública e forma??o humana
Silva, Sidney Reinaldo da;
Educa??o & Sociedade , 2006, DOI: 10.1590/S0101-73302006000300002
Abstract: from the point of view of the theory of justice, this paper analyses how the social policies define the moral formation of a people. based on the links between public ethics and human formation it defines the moral trends of the conception of the social minimum. it highlights the form of public action deriving from social justice, which is presented as a formulary for the social policies in free market societies. it then criticizes the moral basis of the brazilian social policies which propose to guarantee individual autonomy through the social minimum. it presents some conceptions of social justice compatible with capitalism and the public policies they entail, and shows that neoliberalism and communitarianism have a similar conception of the role of public policies in the moral formation for individual autonomy and social responsibility. it eventually points out ethical-political impacts and impasses, for human formation, of fashioning the brazilian social policies according to a neoliberal pattern.

Silva, Sidney Jard da;
Revista Brasileira de Ciências Sociais , 2001, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-69092001000200007
Abstract: since its foundation in 1983, cut has increasingly counted on the participation of workers on both its deliberative and organizational levels. the paper describes in detail how and by what means the specific demands of public sector workers have an influence over cut. the public and state employee's relative clout with cut is presented through an analysis of their participation on the entity's national congresses, in state and national director's board levels, and through their relative weight inside the cut's unionism, both in number of affiliations and paying members. in addition, at the same time that the article focuses on the influence of public sector unionism over cut's political decisions concerning state reform, it also analyzes cut's position in the debate about the constitutional reform implemented on fernando henrique cardoso's first mandate (1995-1998). in this section the article tries to identify the main reasons for the breakdown of the negotiations between the government and the union confederations concerning the brazilian social security system.
