Isolated intense sub-30-as pulse generation by quantum path control in the three-color laser pulse

Abstract: We theoretically investigate the high-order harmonic generation from He+in the two-color laser pulse, which is composed of a multi-cycle 800 nm laser and 1600 nm laser. Compared with the case of the fundamental laser, the harmonic spectrum presents a two-plateau structure, and a broadband supercontinuum appears in the second plateau, of which the efficiency is approximately 2 orders of magnitude lower than that of the first plateau. Adding the 27th harmonic pulse to the two-color laser at a proper time, we can control the ionization mostly occurring at half the optical cycle, and the short quantum path can be picked out, the second plateau is heightened four orders of magnitude compared with the case of the two-color case. Furthermore, the supercontinuum spectrum is extended from the second plateau to the first one. An intense isolated pulse with a duration of 29 as is obtained by superposing the 190th---285th harmonics in the continuous region.
Two Methods of Rapid Code Acquisition Based on FFT

Abstract: Two methods of rapid code acquisition based on FFT are presented, one method is based on fractional multiple sampling rate convertor, and the other is based on decimation. To reduce hardware resource, two rapid code acquisition circuits utilizes duplicate design. Two designs applied parallel pipeline structure to improve the processing speed. Block floating-point arithmetic is used to enhance the dynamic range and computation accuracy. Two designs are implemented with a chip of FPGA respectively, simulation and measurement results show that the rapid code acquisition circuit based on fractional multiple sampling rate convertor costs more hardware resource, but can gain higher acquisition accuracy to be compared with the method based on decimation.
Sodium Coupled Bicarbonate Influx Regulates Intracellular and Apical pH in Cultured Rat Caput Epididymal Epithelium

Abstract: Background The epithelium lining the epididymis provides an optimal acidic fluid microenvironment in the epididymal tract that enable spermatozoa to complete the maturation process. The present study aims to investigate the functional role of Na+/HCO3? cotransporter in the pH regulation in rat epididymis. Method/Principal Findings Immunofluorescence staining of pan cytokeratin in the primary culture of rat caput epididymal epithelium showed that the system was a suitable model for investigating the function of epididymal epithelium. Intracellular and apical pH were measured using the fluorescent pH sensitive probe carboxy-seminaphthorhodafluor-4F acetoxymethyl ester (SNARF-4F) and sparklet pH electrode respectively to explore the functional role of rat epididymal epithelium. In the HEPES buffered Krebs-Henseleit(KH) solution, the intracellular pH (pHi) recovery from NH4Cl induced acidification in the cultured caput epididymal epithelium was completely inhibited by amiloride, the inhibitor of Na+/H+ exchanger (NHE). Immediately changing of the KH solution from HEPES buffered to HCO3? buffered would cause another pHi recovery. The pHi recovery in HCO3? buffered KH solution was inhibited by 4, 4diisothiocyanatostilbene-2, 2-disulfonic acid (DIDS), the inhibitor of HCO3? transporter or by removal of extracellular Na+. The extracellular pH measurement showed that the apical pH would increase when adding DIDS to the apical side of epididymal epithelial monolayer, however adding DIDS to the basolateral side had no effect on apical pH. Conclusions The present study shows that sodium coupled bicarbonate influx regulates intracellular and apical pH in cultured caput epididymal epithelium.
Effect of the carrier phase of ultra-short laser pulses on high-order harmonic generation spectra

Abstract: We numerically calculated the high-order harmonic generation (HHG) power spectra from a one-dimensional model atom irradiated by linearly polarized ultra-short laser pulses whose duration is two optical cycles. It was found that, the cut-off positions of the HHG spectra change when the carrier phases of the ultra-short laser pulses are altered, and the distinct double plateau structure appears in some special carrier phases. The above issues are reasonably explaned by the three-step model. Finally, the wavelet time-frequency analysis verifies that the three-step model can accurately exactly predict the cut-off frequencies of the ultra-short pulse HHG spectra.
Analysis on Metabolic Flux Shift During Guanosine Fermentation

Abstract: Taking the typical metabolic control product-guanosine as an example, the method of metabolic flux shift investigation based on process multi-levels parameter correlation analysis was established. The metabolic pathway, multi-parameter correlation, accumulation of amino acid and organic acid during guanosine fermentation process were integratively analyzed. The metabolic flux shift from HMP to EMP was ascertained, which was assumed to be caused by the accumulation of ammonium ion. The subsequent optimization based on controlling flux distribution between EMP and HMP did improve the yield by 35% when the metabolic flux shift was prevented.

Abstract: Bacillus subtilis AJ2066 was used to yield guanosine. The optimization of guanosine fermentation was studied by means of flask coupled with 50L auto-controlled fermentor. Monosodium glutamate is important to guanosine fermentation. The yield reached 31.49g/L in 50L fermentor with the medium supplemented with 1% monosodium glutamate. Hypoxanthine (Hx) can be used to synthesize guanosine directly as precursor. The yield reached 33.24g/L in 50L fermentor by supplementing 0.2% hypoxanthine during final stage of fermentation.
Effect of Sodium Citrate on The Growth Metabolism and Inosine Accumulation by Bacillus subtilis

Abstract: The effects of sodium citrate on the growth metabolism and inosine accumulation by Bacillus subtillus were studied in this paper.When 0.2% sodium citrate was added into the basal medium,the inosine yield and the yield coefficient of inosine to glucose in the broth were increased 18% and 38% respectively.The analysis on the activities of some key enzymes during inosine fermentation revealed that the supplement of sodium citrate had profound effect on the activity of several key enzymes. The activities of Phosphofructokinase and Pyruvate Kinase were decreased remarkably,the flux of glycolysis pathway was thus cut down as well.

Abstract: Based on the Dirac--Fork--Slater method combined with the multichannel quantum defect theory, the recombination processes of electrons into bare uranium ions (U 92+ ) are investigated in the relative energy range close to zero, and the x-ray spectrum emitted in the direct radiative recombination and cascades processes are simulated. Compared with the recent measurement, it is found that the rate enhancement comes from the additional populations on high Rydberg states. These additional populations may be produced by other recombination mechanisms, such as the external electric-magnetic effects and the many-body correlation effects, which still remains an open problem.
Probing the dynamic interference in molecular high-order harmonic generation through Bohmian trajectories

Abstract: By using Bohmian trajectory method, we investigate the dynamic interference in diatomic molecular high-order harmonic generation progress. It is demonstrated that the main characteristics of the molecular harmonic spectrum can be well reproduced by only two Bohmain trajectories which are located respectively at the two ions. This is because these two localized trajectories can receive and store the whole collision information coming from all of the other recollision trajectories. Therefore, the amplitudes and frequencies of these two trajectories represent the intensity and frequency distribution of the harmonic generation. Moreover, the interference between these two trajectories shows a dip in the harmonic spectrum, which indicates the molecular structure information. ?
