Nonparametric reconstruction of dynamical dark energy via observational Hubble parameter data

Abstract: We study the power of current and future observational Hubble parameter data (OHD) on non-parametric estimations of the dark energy equation of state, $w(z)$. We propose a new method by conjunction of principal component analysis (PCA) and the criterion of goodness of fit (GoF) criterion to reconstruct $w(z)$, ensuring the sensitivity and reliability of the extraction of features in the EoS. We also give an new error model to simulate future OHD data, to forecast the power of future OHD on the EoS reconstruction. The result shows that current OHD, despite in less quantity, give not only a similar power of reconstruction of dark energy compared to the result given by type Ia supernovae, but also extend the constraint on $w(z)$ up to redshift $z\simeq2$. Additionally, a reasonable forecast of future data in more quantity and better quality greatly enhances the reconstruction of dark energy.

Abstract: By using an algebraic diagonalization method, the XYZ Heisenberg antiferromagnetics under an external magnetic field is studied in the framework of spin-wave theory. The energy eigenstates are shown to be squeezed number states and the energy eigenvalues are obtained in some cases. Some quantum properties of the energy eigenstates, and the connection of the model with the two-mode coupled harmonic oscillators are also discussed.
Criticality in Translation-Invariant Parafermion Chains

Abstract: In this work we numerically study critical phases in translation-invariant $\mathbb{Z}_N$ parafermion chains with both nearest- and next-nearest-neighbor hopping terms. The model can be mapped to a $\mathbb{Z}_N$ spin model with nearest-neighbor couplings via a generalized Jordan-Wigner transformation and translation invariance ensures that the spin model is always self-dual. We first study the low-energy spectrum of chains with only nearest-neighbor coupling, which are mapped onto standard self-dual $\mathbb{Z}_N$ clock models. For $3\leq N\leq 6$ we match the numerical results to the known conformal field theory(CFT) identification. We then analyze in detail the phase diagram of a $N=3$ chain with both nearest and next-nearest neighbor hopping and six critical phases with central charges being $4/5$, 1 or 2 are found. We find continuous phase transitions between $c=1$ and $c=2$ phases, while the phase transition between $c=4/5$ and $c=1$ is conjectured to be of Kosterlitz-Thouless type.
A realization of Yangian and its applications to the bi-spin system

Abstract: Yangian $Y(sl(2))$ is realized in the bi-spin system coupled with a time-dependent external magnetic field. It is shown that $Y(sl(2))$ generators can describe the transitions between the ``spin triplet'' and the ``spin singlet'' that evolve with time. Furthermore, new transition operators between the states with Berry phase factor and those between the states of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) are presented.

Abstract:
An allocation model based on improved Fuzzy-DEA is proposed for Tangshan medical health resource. The membership function is particularly introduced to characterize the non-strict partial order relation of the fuzzy numbers, and the internal form of the unit efficiency values is converted into point values. The variance analysis index system is then used to find factors leading to non-DEA effectiveness and the allocation plan is recommended accordingly: the relevant departments should coordinate the inter-regional resources and optimize the medical staffing level.
Molecular Dynamics Analysis Reveals Structural Insights into Mechanism of Nicotine N-Demethylation Catalyzed by Tobacco Cytochrome P450 Mono-Oxygenase

Abstract: CYP82E4, a cytochrome P450 monooxygenase, has nicotine N-demethylase (NND) activity, which mediates the bioconversion of nicotine into nornicotine in senescing tobacco leaves. Nornicotine is a precursor of the carcinogen, tobacco-specific nitrosamine. CYP82E3 is an ortholog of CYP82E4 with 95% sequence identity, but it lacks NND activity. A recent site-directed mutagenesis study revealed that a single amino acid substitution, i.e., cysteine to tryptophan at the 330 position in the middle of protein, restores the NND activity of CYP82E3 entirely. However, the same amino acid change caused the loss of the NND activity of CYP82E4. To determine the mechanism of the functional turnover of the two molecules, four 3D structures, i.e., the two molecules and their corresponding cys–trp mutants were modeled. The resulting structures exhibited that the mutation site is far from the active site, which suggests that no direct interaction occurs between the two sites. Simulation studies in different biological scenarios revealed that the mutation introduces a conformation drift with the largest change at the F-G loop. The dynamics trajectories analysis using principal component analysis and covariance analysis suggests that the single amino acid change causes the opening and closing of the transfer channels of the substrates, products, and water by altering the motion of the F-G and B-C loops. The motion of helix I is also correlated with the motion of both the F-G loop and the B-C loop and; the single amino acid mutation resulted in the curvature of helix I. These results suggest that the single amino acid mutation outside the active site region may have indirectly mediated the flexibility of the F-G and B-C loops through helix I, causing a functional turnover of the P450 monooxygenase.

Abstract: On the linear spin-wave frame, the XYZ antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model in an external magnetic field is proposed to have an so(3,2) algebraic structure. The energy eigenvalues and the squeezed state solutions are obtained by making use of algebraic diagonalization. Some properties of the energy eigenvalues are investigated. The connection with the model of the special two-mode harmonic oscillators is also established.
Polarization Properties of Quantum-Dot-Based Single Photon Sources

Abstract: Polarization properties of single photons emitted by optical pumping from a single quantum dot (QD) are studied by using a four-level system model. The model is capable of explaining the polarization uncertainty observed in single photon emission experiments. It is found that the dependence of photon emission efficiency and polarization visibility on pump power are opposite in general cases. By employing QDs with small size and strong carrier confinement, the photon polarization visibility under high pump power can be improved. In addition, embedding a QD into a well designed microcavity is also found to be favourable, whereas the trade-off between high polarization visibility and multi-photon emission is noted.
