Design and Realization of a Detection Program of Conductive Slip Ring Based on LabVIEW  [PDF]

Abstract: The conductive slip ring is very useful in the industry equipments, which is an electric assembly being responsible for transporting energy and signals to the rotary body. In order to the conductive slip ring is sealing completely, it’s hard to detect that if its internal wires are conductive. The traditional manual detection is hard to finish that work when the number of the wires is big, and a real-time detection when the equipment is rotated is impossible. This paper uses NI's LabVIEW graphical programming software and DAQ board to realize an automatic detection system for the internal wires of slip ring, which can help us to judge if the wires are conductive when the equipment is rotated in real-time. At the same time, in this paper the application of LabVIEW in data acquisition is also studied.
Biocompatible Polymer/Quantum Dots Hybrid Materials: Current Status and Future Developments

Abstract: Quantum dots (QDs) are nanometer-sized semiconductor particles with tunable fluorescent optical property that can be adjusted by their chemical composition, size, or shape. In the past 10 years, they have been demonstrated as a powerful fluorescence tool for biological and biomedical applications, such as diagnostics, biosensing and biolabeling. QDs with high fluorescence quantum yield and optical stability are usually synthesized in organic solvents. In aqueous solution, however, their metallic toxicity, non-dissolubility and photo-luminescence instability prevent the direct utility of QDs in biological media. Polymers are widely used to cover and coat QDs for fabricating biocompatible QDs. Such hybrid materials can provide solubility and robust colloidal and optical stability in water. At the same time, polymers can carry ionic or reactive functional groups for incorporation into the end-use application of QDs, such as receptor targeting and cell attachment. This review provides an overview of the recent development of methods for generating biocompatible polymer/QDs hybrid materials with desirable properties. Polymers with different architectures, such as homo- and co-polymer, hyperbranched polymer, and polymeric nanogel, have been used to anchor and protect QDs. The resulted biocompatible polymer/QDs hybrid materials show successful applications in the fields of bioimaging and biosensing. While considerable progress has been made in the design of biocompatible polymer/QDs materials, the research challenges and future developments in this area should affect the technologies of biomaterials and biosensors and result in even better biocompatible polymer/QDs hybrid materials.
Yan’an Mobile Game Player’s Consumption Concept of Donghua University Campus  [PDF]

Abstract: This article proposes the design and the results of a project studying the adoption of mobile gaming (playing mobile games) in the Chinese youth market. An adoption model extending TAM (Technology Adoption Model) was used, with intention to use as the dependent variable. Data were gathered from a sample group consisting of university students both Chinese and Foreigners. It was found that adopters of mobile gaming were likely to be male as well as female, and also that the group surveyed exhibited a behavior towards relatively high spending on mobile entertainment (in proportion to income). The key factors affecting mobile gaming adoption in portion China were Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Enjoyment, Social Influence and Flow. Perceived expressiveness, economic cost was found to be the most significant influential factor affecting intention to use, while perceived enjoyment was found to be motivated by perceived ease of use. Recommendations regarding developing and offering mobile games are also included.
A Study on Customer Prosumption Concept and Its Impact on Enterprise Value Co-Creation  [PDF]

Abstract: Prosumption, which implies that buyers produce products for their own consumption, is becoming a new phenomenon in the context of network sharing economy. With the development of information technology, customers who are accustomed to online shopping are more and more automatically generating prosumption activities. This paper aims to identify customer prosumption characterized as a kind of compound behavior with integration of information production and consumption in digital age. To do so, a bibliometric analysis identifies the articles that other authors cite the most, their citations, and co-citations, thus enabling the definition of networks of authors and journals from the perspectives of the connotation, behavior, and mechanism. The results suggest that customer prosumption is characterized by “rich” while not “scarce”, and enterprises value co-creation is the main form of social activities of customer prosumption. These results also show some gaps in the literature that need further research.

Abstract: The article develops and empirically tests a model of brand value. More specifically, this study re-explores how dimensions form and interact from a prosumer perspective. A quantitative approach is adopted in this study, using structural equation model based on covariance (CB-SEM) to explore logical relationships between dimensions of brand value. A new five-dimensional platform brand value is supported, including brand experience, brand knowledge, brand relationship quality, brand citizenship behavior and brand esteem. Furthermore, the interactions between the dimensions are empirically verified. The research takes a prosumer-centric view of platform brand value and in doing so and provides new insight into the effect on prosumers. Additionally, the research offers an improved level of brand value, which is the core starting point of platform enterprises. The findings offer new insight to brand managers, identifying possibility of the prosumption logic shaping a new business model, giving some inspiration to the commercial management practice from the micro level. And it was found that the prosumption logic offers an original perspective from which to explore platform brand value, and cuts through the core of a complex chain of relationships to explain the logic of a complex interaction.
A Chain Routing Algorithm Based on Traffic Prediction in Wireless Sensor Networks  [PDF]

Abstract:

As a representative of chain-based protocol in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), EEPB is an elegant solution on energy efficiency. However, in the latter part of the operation of the network, there is still a big problem: reserving energy of the node frequently presents the incapacity of directly communicating with the base station, at the same time capacity of data acquisition and transmission as normal nodes. If these nodes were selected as LEADER nodes, that will accelerate the death process and unevenness of energy consumption distribution among nodes.This paper proposed a chain routing algorithm based ontraffic prediction model (CRTP).The novel algorithmdesigns a threshold judgment method through introducing the traffic prediction model in the process of election of LEADER node. The process can be dynamically adjusted according to the flow forecasting. Therefore, this algorithm lets the energy consumption tend-ing to keep at same level. Simulation results show that CRTP has superior performance over EEPB in terms of balanced network energy consumption and the prolonged network life.

Abstract:

In this paper we discuss the technical possibilities of cloud-based virtual reality (cloud-based VR) computing tools for online collaboration in urban planning and design. We first create a digital asset representing our design proposal of a pedestrian bridge in Shibuya, Tokyo. A platform for cloud-based VR technology, i.e., a VR-Cloud server, is used to open the VR dataset to public collaboration over the Internet. The digital asset representing the design scheme of our pedestrian bridge includes buildings, roads, trees and street furniture for the entire urban area. The vehicles and people are designed and inputted into the virtual world of the urban area, in which they run and walk with predefined behaviour scenarios. Users share the VR world by accessing the VR-Cloud servers from remote clients, using cloud communication software to review vehicle and pedestrian crowd simulations and discuss the design concepts. Meanwhile, we compare the advantages and disadvantages of three cloud-based VR tools on their technical support for net collaboration: 1) VR-Cloud; 2) Google Earth; and 3) 3DVIA.

Abstract: In recent years worldwide boundaries have been redefined, thanks to internet and technologies which facilitate increasingly the interaction between virtual friends and socials networking users. Consumers as well as producers in both developed and developing countries share information, pictures and videos via the Web 2.0 tools available on electronic devices and Internet websites. However due to several obstacles, activities such as co-creations, digital collaboration and others socials networking can be limited for some users. Thus this article discussed various factors that limit developing countries’ prosumers interactivity in the age of Web 2.0 technology. The factors influencing numbers of users’ collaboration can be individual, organizational, technological and/ or environmental factors.

Abstract: This article considers that modern industries with specific characteristics should be deliberately developed in the comparatively advantageous key regions of the Qinghai Tibet Plateau.It mainly analyzes the general outline and strategic objectives for the industrial development in the key regions of the Plateau and points out the general directions of the industrial development and the framework of regional industrial allocation.In accordance to coordinate the relationships between different kinds of industries,it is held that the following industries should be developed in the key regions.Those include metallurgical industries dominated by iron and steel,iron alloy,non ferrous and gold;chemical industries of salt lake resources,oil and natural gas;and building material industries for meeting the internal requirements in the Plateau;and some manufacturing industries with certain foundations such as machine electronics and light and textile industries,and Tibetan handicrafts industry.
