Política do corpo e política de vida: a tatuagem e o body piercing como express?o corporal de uma ética da dissidência
Ferreira,Vitor Sérgio;
Etnográfica , 2007,
Abstract: the aesthetic of divergence that characterises extensively tattooed and body pierced bodies, represents a way of stylistic demarcation through which some young people build and reveal not only their personal identity, but also the way they perceive and relate to the world. it implies an aesthetic performance that embodies a homologous ethical attitude, consubstantiated in a sense of disaffiliation towards the established social and cultural order. it is an ethic of dissidence that reclaims a remoralisation of day-to-day life, so as to conquer a social space of existence in the world, where it is possible to live a commitment with a body, an identity, and a life style that aims to be "alternative" to the current "supermarket of styles" on offer, under conditions of authenticity, respect and personal freedom.

Ferreira, Vitor Sérgio;
Saúde e Sociedade , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-12902010000200002
Abstract: being a physical experience that challenges sensitive and social taboos, body marking with tattoos and body piercing has been fairly explored in the public sphere regarding the issues of voluntary pain and the risks of individual and public health that are involved. associated with the moral panic that is already linked to these practices, which are related to behaviours perceived as socially deviant, psychopathological or criminal, comes another type of social panic, the ?hygienist panic?, connected with a fear of contracting infectious and contagious diseases, or of having a bad reaction to the incorporated materials and inks. attempting to go beyond these discourses, this article aims to analyse: on one hand, how current consumers of tattoos and body piercing deal with the pain associated with these practices, what emotions frame that sensation and what strategies are used in its control; on the other hand, how the producers of tattoos and body piercing, considering their new and extended clientele, deal with the demands for sanitary disciplines regarding their professional practice. as for methodological procedures, the empiric information presented in the article was collected through in-depth biographical interviews conducted with people who had extensively marked bodies, multi-tattooed and multi-pierced, professionals or only consumers of tattoos and body piercing. fifteen interviewees with different social profiles were recruited in tattoo and body piercing studios located in lisbon and on its outskirts, after an intensive ethnographic fieldwork in those spaces.

Abstract:

The article relates a theoretical and conceptual research, whose main objective was to develop a model to guide the production of educational microcontent to be used in virtual learning environment with mobility, from interconnections between Pedagogy, Communication and Semiotics. It discusses technologies and mobile devices, mobile learning, microlearning, microcontent and hypermedia, educational microcontent and hybrid languages. It highlights the challenges related to the introduction of mobile devices in educational practices. It considers the physical constraints and the fragmented nature of mobile interaction, under which microcontent is, at the same time, accessible and gifted with pedagogical elements. Educational microcontent is analyzed from the hypermedia perspective, considering the dominance of hybrid languages in digital media. A methodology of educational microcontent production for virtual learning environment is presented, considering the predominance of hybrid languages. This methodology is constituted by the processes: pedagogical architecture and architecture of languages, which represent the main flows of activities and tasks. The research conclusions indicate that: a) the model developed presents the conceptual and theoretical elements essential to the production of microcontent education for mobile learning; b) the concepts and grounds presented in the research are considered preliminary conceptual and theoretical elements; c) the developed model provides grants to developing new research proposals and has the potential to encourage new academic research projects; d) the model has the possibility of being used in didactic-pedagogical projects that focus, for example, collaborative learning and co-authorship.

Ferreira,Vítor Sérgio;
Sociologia, Problemas e Práticas , 2001,
Abstract: a set of notes in which the author shares some thoughts about the complexity of the relationship between new technologies and contemporary musical creation and seeks to go beyond the impossible task of reducing the issue to a simple moral or value judgement. with its rich diversity, this relationship stimulated the author's imagination and led him to offer a few hypotheses for further thought. it enables him to sense the point to which the dialogue between man and machine ought to raise questions, but should not be judged a priori by the most primary of its perverse effects.
