An Image Encryption Algorithm Utilizing Julia Sets and Hilbert Curves

Abstract: Image encryption is an important and effective technique to protect image security. In this paper, a novel image encryption algorithm combining Julia sets and Hilbert curves is proposed. The algorithm utilizes Julia sets’ parameters to generate a random sequence as the initial keys and gets the final encryption keys by scrambling the initial keys through the Hilbert curve. The final cipher image is obtained by modulo arithmetic and diffuse operation. In this method, it needs only a few parameters for the key generation, which greatly reduces the storage space. Moreover, because of the Julia sets’ properties, such as infiniteness and chaotic characteristics, the keys have high sensitivity even to a tiny perturbation. The experimental results indicate that the algorithm has large key space, good statistical property, high sensitivity for the keys, and effective resistance to the chosen-plaintext attack.
A Novel Fractal Coding Method Based on M-J Sets

Abstract: In this paper, we present a novel fractal coding method with the block classification scheme based on a shared domain block pool. In our method, the domain block pool is called dictionary and is constructed from fractal Julia sets. The image is encoded by searching the best matching domain block with the same BTC (Block Truncation Coding) value in the dictionary. The experimental results show that the scheme is competent both in encoding speed and in reconstruction quality. Particularly for large images, the proposed method can avoid excessive growth of the computational complexity compared with the traditional fractal coding algorithm.
Stage-Structured Impulsive Model for Pest Management

Abstract: An SI epidemic model with stage structure is investigated. In the model, impulsive biological control is taken, that is, we release infected pests to the field at a fixed time periodically. We get a sufficient condition for the global asymptotical stability of the pest-eradication periodic solution (0,0,I?(t)), and a condition for the permanence of the system. At last, a brief discussion shows that our results will be helpful for pest management.
Spatial Forecast of Landslides in Three Gorges Based On Spatial Data Mining

Abstract: The Three Gorges is a region with a very high landslide distribution density and a concentrated population. In Three Gorges there are often landslide disasters, and the potential risk of landslides is tremendous. In this paper, focusing on Three Gorges, which has a complicated landform, spatial forecasting of landslides is studied by establishing 20 forecast factors (spectra, texture, vegetation coverage, water level of reservoir, slope structure, engineering rock group, elevation, slope, aspect, etc). China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (Cbers) images were adopted based on C4.5 decision tree to mine spatial forecast landslide criteria in Guojiaba Town (Zhigui County) in Three Gorges and based on this knowledge, perform intelligent spatial landslide forecasts for Guojiaba Town. All landslides lie in the dangerous and unstable regions, so the forecast result is good. The method proposed in the paper is compared with seven other methods: IsoData, K-Means, Mahalanobis Distance, Maximum Likelihood, Minimum Distance, Parallelepiped and Information Content Model. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper has a high forecast precision, noticeably higher than that of the other seven methods.

Abstract: In recent years with ongoing progress of market mechanism reform in electricity power enterprises, State Grid Corporation of China proposed development strategy of “conglomerated operation, intensive development, lean management, and standardization construction”, carried out standardization in-depth in the corporation system and achieved remarkable results. The paper takes electricity power enterprise standardization system as the object of study, analyzes various constructed elements, introduces Interpretative Structural Modeling (ISM) in Systems Engineering, and constructs multi-layer hierarchical structure diagram, research the internal hierarchy among various elements, in order to provide a certain decision-making reference for the ordered construction and continuous improvement of standardization system in the electricity power enterprise.
Lithology Intelligent Analysis in Three Gorges Based on Remote Sensing Image

Abstract: In the south area of China, there covers thick soil and flourish vegetation on the top of the rocks, so there is little research on lithology analysis by remote sensing in the south area, and there is also no mature methods on this aspect. Three Gorges are the south area which is thickly covered by soil and flourish vegetation and the lithology analysis is very difficult. Three Gorges possess the characters of complicated terrain, frequent geologic disasters and full-grown vegetation and soil, so it is very important to make lithology analysis in the area. In the paper we made analysis of lithology with remote sensing images focusing on the area of Three Gorges, adopted the idea of oriented-object, built three sorts of guideline sets of spectrum, texture and vegetation covering, made quantification of the guideline sets and based on the algorithm of concept grid mined the association rules of the lithology in the stratums of Three Gorges: Jia Second and Third Sections Jia Ling River Group T1j2 and T1j3, Ba First and Second Sections Ba Dong GroupT2b1 and T2b2, and Da Ye Group T1d.
Landslide Susceptibility Analysis Based on Data Field

Abstract: The Three Gorges are the areas in which the geological disasters are very serious. There often happen great landslide disasters, which brings tremendous threat to normal running of the Three Gorge Dam and the properties and lives of the residents in the reservoir. So landslide susceptibility analysis is an important task of prevention and cure of landslides in the Three Gorges. In this paper, landslide susceptibility analysis in the Three Gorges is studied based on spatial data mining. ETM+ image, 1: 50000 geological graph and 1:10000 relief map are adopted as the data origins to produce the factors closely related to landslide transmutation, including slope structure, engineering rock group, slope level, fluctuation influence of reservoir water and land exploration. A spatial data mining method is proposed which is suitable for landslide susceptibility analysis. Firstly data field method is adopted to synthetically analyze the spatial distribution of landslides and the key factors influencing landslide transmutation and extract the potential centers. Secondly cloud model method is adopted to describe the concept represented by each potential center, and the synthesized cloud method elevates the concepts to produce the high-level concepts. Finally clustering analysis is made according to the membership degree of each data point to each high-level concept, and realizes landslide susceptibility analysis in the Three Gorges. The experimental results have shown that the method proposed in this paper obtains a good prediction result, which is priori to the ones of the other 3 methods (IsoData, K-Means and Parallelepiped). So the method can well realize landslide susceptibility analysis in the Three Gorges.
Treating Infertile Milk Cows by Traditional Chinese Medicine

Abstract: The infertility of milk cow is a world problem with high incidence rate. Reportedly, in the world dairy industry, the proportion of the infertile milk cow was about 15% in the total mature cows (Donald L B, 1978, P.309), and some others thought this number achieved about 30% according to the statistics (Bulman D C, 1980, P.177-188). In US, there are 12%~19% cows which are eliminated through selection because of sterility and breeding diseases every year, and this number achieves above 40% in all unqualified cows (Jiang, 1990, P.38-41). In China, the infertile rate of mature cows achieves above 25%, and the rate in some cattle farms with imperfect management and bad technical conditions even achieves above 40% (Jiang, 1990, P.38-41). According to the statistics, in a cattle village in the northeast, there were 62 infertile cows in 212 cows, and the infertile rate achieved 29.25%, and in the region of Jinan, Shandong, there were 342 mature cows in 5 collective cattle farms, one civil cattle farm and one cattle breeding village, and the amount of the infertile milk cow achieved 97, i.e. 28.36% of the total amount of mature cows. In the region of Shihezi in Xinjiang, the infertile rate was 22.5%, and the infertile rate in Fujian Province achieved above 10%. In recent years, according to Chinese traditional medicine, Chinese veterinary scientists have accumulated abundant experiences to prevent and cure the infertility of milk cow, and explored the pharmacology of the function of Chinese traditional medicine.

Abstract: Seismic interferometric migration and data-referenced-only migration are recently developed seismic migration methods that have found some new applications in seismic exploration. Especially in some VSP (Vertical Seismic Profiling) imaging applications, they have partially solved some problems that are very difficult to solve by using conventional surface seismic data. While the interferometric migration method migrates cross-correlated seismic data, the data-referenced-only migration method has no such apparent procedure. It extrapolates different parts of the recorded seismic wavefields and these extrapolated wavefields are referred to each other during imaging. Both methods have the merits that the original seismic source position, triggering time, and near-source properties can all be ignored for imaging. We analyze these two methods, and relate them to the same seismic migration theory. We also compare their results on a synthetic VSP multiples migration experiment, and discuss some of the practical issues of using these two methods.

Abstract: Based on the current situation of rural educational informationization, my study found that the boost of rural elementary and secondary school’s educational informationization needed the cooperation of higher normal universities and local education administrative department. The construction of “IT education community” is the key to step off the predicament. The practice application and effect in Gaoping City further proved that the cooperation project broke the bottleneck of rural elementary and secondary school’s educational informationization.
