Double Cladding Seven-core Photonic Crystal Fiber  [PDF]

A double cladding seven-core PCF was presented for high power supercontinuum generation. The calculated zero dispersion wavelength is located at 912 nm, which has a good agreement with the measurement. The attenuation is measured 6 dB/km at 1590 nm and lower than 14.5 dB/km at 1060 nm, the water-loss peak at 1380 nm is about 134 dB/km; Supercontinuum spanning over more than 1500 nm was generated when the designed seven-core PCF was pumped by a gain-switching Yetterbium-doped fiber laser. These results will be helpful in the future design of multicore photonic crystal fibers (MCPCF) with proper guidance properties for high power supercontinuum generation.

Analysis of chemical composition of melt inclusion of beryl in pegmatite and discovery of zinc-spinel by electronic probe

Abstract: The compositions of daughter mineral of melt inclusion in beryls, which are from pegmatite of Keketuhai in Xinjiang and Mufushan in Hunan, have been analyzed by electronic probe. Ten kinds of mineral, such as beryl, zinc-spinel, mica, quartz, magnetite, etc., which consist of different mineral associations have been identified. The zinc-spinel existing in two different forms was first discovered in the melt inclusion in China and abroad. This study provides that there exist the local magmatic differentiation and the immiscibility and heterogeneity of magma. It is very useful for the current research of magmatic rocks, pyrolite, meteorolite.

Abstract: An intensive volcanic activity took place in Lujiang-Zongyang volcanic basin during J3 K1. The volcanic rocks consist of trachytic basalt, basaltic latite, latite and trachyte. The characteristics of this volcanic sequence are: low TiO2 and silica saturation, high alkalis, high K2O/Na2O value and Fe2O3/FeO value, high and variable Al2O3, enrichment in Rb, Sr, Ba, Zr, U, Th and LREE. Sr, Ph and O isotopes indicate that the primary magmas of this volcanic sequence were derived from the upper mantle. Therefore, it is deemed to the shoshonite series.According to the analyses of geodynamic situation for generate potassic to ultrapotassic magmas, it is considered that they are products of extensional igneous activity. They are also characterized by generating at the transitional stage between extrusion to extensioll.Although the alkaline rocks occurred in Early Cretaceous Period, the Yangzi valley was not typical continental rift at that time. After the late stage of Early Cretaceous, as the subdue non zone moved backward and the rate of subduction slowed down, further extension evolved the volcanic arcs and the intracontinental rift ernergecl and developed in East China.
Characteristics of Yanshanian Granites Related toMolybdenum-Tungsten Deposits in the SouthernPart of Luanchuan County, Henan Province

Abstract: There are lots of Yanshanian granitoid stocks related to molybdenum-tungsten mineralization distributed in the southern part of Luanchuan County, Henan Province. According to their mineralizationintensity, geological and geochemical characteristics, these stocks can be divided into three groups. The firstgroup of rocks, with relatively high SiO2, K2O, Rb contents and K2O/Na2O, Rb/Sr ratios as well as relativelylow Al2O3, FeO, CaO, Na2O, Sr contents, are associated with super-large size W-Mo ore deposits and has welldeveloped molybdenite-quartz veins. In the upper part of these stocks the crenulate quartz layers occur. The second group of rocks, with medium SiO2, K2O contents and K2O/Na2O ratios, are related to some medium orsmall W-Mo deposits and molybdenite-quartz veins are less developed. The third group of rocks, with low SiO2,K2O, Rb contents and K2O/Na2O, Rb/Sr ratios as well as relatively high Al2O3, Na2O, Sr contents, are almostbarren and quartz-veins are least developed. Investigation shows that the magma-differentiation and evolutiondegree of the stocks have close relation to mineralization intensity.

Abstract: Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is a very powerful technique for materials characteriza-tion, providing information relating to morphology, composition, and crystal structure. Selected area diffraction patterns (SADPs) are crystallographic data that can be obtained using a TEM in-strument. Conventional identification through SADP/TEM is tricky and tedious, thereby increasing the difficulty of phase identification. To establish a procedure for phase identification of known and unknown phases, in this study we examined two samples: one, a known phase, was Si with <100> alignment; the other, unknown, was the TixOy phase at the 96.4Au-3Ni-0.6Ti interlayer/ yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) interface of a steel/96.4Au-3Ni-0.6Ti interlayer/YSZ joint. The procedures for phase identification of the known and unknown phases are described herein using a series of SADPs and energy dispersive spectrometry within TEM that would be useful for general researchers.
Research on the Impact of Supply Chain Integration of Startups: Service Supply Chain Perspective  [PDF]

As the potential power of social economic development, the importance of startups has attracted more and more attention from academia. The service supply chain, led by the service integrator, can help the startups to improve the performance of the enterprise, achieve better supply chain integration, and go through their “infancy” period successfully. However, the research about the factors that influence the integration of service supply chain and how these factors affect the supply chain integration of startups remains to be explored. Based on the practical problems and theoretical research status above, this study constructs a theoretical hypothesis model of the relationship between interaction, supply chain finance and supply chain integration, and we take the survey data of 65 startups in Pearl River Delta of China as samples and use hierarchical regression analysis to carry out hypothesis testing. The result shows that, from the perspective of startups, interaction has a positive impact on supplier integration, internal integration and customer integration, and supply chain finance has a positive impact on internal integration. The main significance of this study is to make up for the vacancy on this part of the academic community in the service supply chain, and help provide some reference basis for start-up enterprises’ supply chain integration.

Abstract: Dam construction is an important engineering measure in dealing with the relationship between water and human being. However, with dam construction, some disadvantages to the river basin may be caused, including flow flux of downstream changed, flooded area reduced, river species and other organisms changed and substance sedimentation. Furthermore, it brings some diseases to human being and human residential areas reduced too. Based on the basic principles of ecohydralic engineering, some countermeasures to minimize the negative effects on rivers were put forward. They are reservoir ecological regulation, ecohydraulic engineering construction and comprehensive water pollution treatment.
Disciplinization of History Education in Modern China: A Study of History Education in the Imperial University of Peking (1898-1911)  [PDF]

Abstract: Through a thorough investigation on the history education in the Imperial University of Peking from 1898 to 1911, this paper attempts to highlight the following findings. 1) The disciplinization of history education and the transformation of traditional historiography were concurrently incepted in the late Qing period. The Imperial University of Peking served as a pivotal platform for the realization of this synchronous process. 2) History instructors and students of this university can be regarded as initial participants in the new school system, as well as pioneering practitioners of the New History. 3) Zhongti xiyong, as the fundamental tenet of this university, in actual practice, was utilized as a slogan for justifying the introduction of Western learning. 4) Japan exerted tremendous influence on the history education at this university through sending history instructors and “re-exporting” new historical methods to China. 5) During the period discussed, there were in total twenty history instructors at this university. Their qualifications were commendable. 6) Regulations concerning history curriculum design, instruction and examination of the university assumed the task of alleviating the political and economic ordeals of China. Nonetheless, as with other reforms in the late Qing era, the government’s reformation efforts in this university could not rescue it from the predicament of “negative repercussions”.

Abstract: The SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) play important role in the economy. However, the financing problem is a big difficulty, which has plagued the SMEs’ development. Information asymmetry is the main reason for the SMEs’ gaining funds so hard. The information asymmetry between banks and enterprises is that banks do not know the operating conditions and credit situation of SMEs. Then, to some extent, the banks are reluctant to support credit for businesses under the circumstance of lacking appropriate information, resulting in a “credit crunch” behavior. Therefore, the main measures of solving SMEs’ financing difficulty are to overcome the information asymmetry in the process of SME financing by establishing effective information mechanisms, the credibility and restraint mechanisms, strengthening the construction of credit rating agencies, and promoting the mutual exchange of information.
