Abstract: The goal of this study is to develop an airflow meter sensor for vehicle intake system detection. The study uses micro-electromechanical process technology to develop a hot-film flow meter with an alumina substrate and platinum film heater; the hotline method is used to create a micro airflow meter sensor relying on variations in resistance of the platinum film corresponding to different wind velocity at the set temperatures. The micro-sensor is less bulky and has a simpler structure than ordinary meters, and its small size enables it to provide good sensitivity and measurement precision. The alumina plate used in this study is produced by polishing an alumina substrate, and cutting the substrate to the needed size; a platinum film is then deposited on the plate to complete the micro-heater used in the sensor. The plate is then cut again to the required size. The design is also employed to fabricate single chip and double chip sensors. Resistance on the sensor side varies as gas flows through the sensor, and the instrument determines airflow velocity on the basis of the changes in resistance caused by gas flow differences. Airflow velocity of 10 m/s, 20 m/s, 30 m/s, 40 m/s, 50 m/s, and 60 m/s are used to experimentally test the sensor. Resistance displays a regular slope, indicating that the sensor can achieve its airflow velocity measurement purpose. The relationship between changes in airflow velocity and readings remain predictable throughout the sensing range. This study also varied parameters including resistance, size, direction, interval, and angle, etc. to observe the effect on sensing characteristics, and determine the best sensing model on this basis.
Existence and Uniqueness of Solution for Two Dimensional Extended Fisher-Kolmogorov Equation

Abstract: Existence and uniqueness of solutions for equations is preliminary and foundation to study the behavior and property of solutions. The extended Fisher- Kolmogorov(EFK) equation plays an important role in the study of pattern formation in bi-stable systems, general genetics, the spread of liquid in the domain wall and traveling wave of reaction-diffusion system. In this paper, two-dimensional Extended Fisher-Kolmogorov(EFK) equation can be renormalized into ordinary differential equations by using Galerkin truncated method, and the existence and uniqueness of solutions for initial value problem of ordinary differential equations is proved. According to energy estimates of trucated solution in corresponding functional space, the convergence of truncated solution in corresponding functional space is given and the existence of weak solutions for two-dimensional Extended Fisher-Kolmogorov(EFK) equation is proved.Lastly, uniqueness for the weak solutions of two dimensional Extended Fisher-Kolmogorov(EFK) equation is derived in the condition that f (u) satisfies the Lipschitz conditions with repect to u .
Progress of Treatments in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer with Brain Metastases

Abstract: Brain metastases is one of the most common complications of non-small cell lung cancer, whole brain radiotherapy (WBRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), surgery and chemotherapy are standard methods in the treatment of brain metastases. But the effect of those treatments are still sad. Comprehensive treatment can prolong the survival and improve the quality of life. Recently, the improvement of technology, targeted therapy, survival time and the quality of life are in increasingly concerned. The paper make a summary of current situation and progress for comprehensive therapy of brain metastases.
Single Cell Functional Proteomics for Assessing Immune Response in Cancer Therapy: Technology, Methods, and Applications

Abstract: In the past decade, significant progresses have taken place in the field of cancer immunotherapeutics, which are being developed for most human cancers. New immunotherapeutics, such as Ipilimumab (anti-CTLA-4), have been approved for clinical treatment; cell-based immunotherapies such as adoptive cell transfer (ACT) have either passed the final stage of human studies (e.g., Sipuleucel-T) for the treatment of selected neoplastic malignancies or reached the stage of phase II/III clinical trials. Immunotherapetics has become a sophisticated field. Multimodal therapeutic regimens comprising several functional modules (up to five in the case of ACT) have been developed to provide focused therapeutic responses with improved efficacy and reduced side-effects. However, a major challenge remains: the lack of effective and clinically applicable immune assessment methods. Due to the complexity of antitumor immune responses within patients, it is difficult to provide comprehensive assessment of therapeutic efficacy and mechanism. To address this challenge, new technologies have been developed to directly profile the cellular immune functions and the functional heterogeneity. With the goal to measure the functional proteomics of single immune cells, these technologies are informative, sensitive, high-throughput, and highly multiplex. They have been used to uncover new knowledge of cellular immune functions and have been utilized for rapid, informative, and longitudinal monitoring of immune response in clinical anti-cancer treatment. In addition, new computational tools are required to integrate high-dimensional data sets generated from the comprehensive, single cell level measurements of patient’s immune responses to guide accurate and definitive diagnostic decision. These single cell immune function assessment tools will likely contribute to new understanding of therapy mechanism, pre-treatment stratification of patients, and ongoing therapeutic monitoring and assessment.
Decomposing Overcomplete 3rd Order Tensors using Sum-of-Squares Algorithms

Abstract: Tensor rank and low-rank tensor decompositions have many applications in learning and complexity theory. Most known algorithms use unfoldings of tensors and can only handle rank up to $n^{\lfloor p/2 \rfloor}$ for a $p$-th order tensor in $\mathbb{R}^{n^p}$. Previously no efficient algorithm can decompose 3rd order tensors when the rank is super-linear in the dimension. Using ideas from sum-of-squares hierarchy, we give the first quasi-polynomial time algorithm that can decompose a random 3rd order tensor decomposition when the rank is as large as $n^{3/2}/\textrm{polylog} n$. We also give a polynomial time algorithm for certifying the injective norm of random low rank tensors. Our tensor decomposition algorithm exploits the relationship between injective norm and the tensor components. The proof relies on interesting tools for decoupling random variables to prove better matrix concentration bounds, which can be useful in other settings.

Abstract: This paper studies the optimal investment problem for utility maximization with multiple risky assets under the constant elasticity of variance (CEV) model. By applying stochastic optimal control approach and variable change technique, we derive explicit optimal strategy for an investor with logarithmic utility function. Finally, we analyze the properties of the optimal strategy and present a numerical example.

Abstract: Ectopic breast tissue is reported to occur in 0.4% - 6% of women. Breast neoplasms may develop in ectopic breast tissue, as in eutopic breast tissue. The most frequent condition in ectopic breast is breast cancer. Fibroadenomas of ectopic breast tissue have been reported, but are rare. We report two cases of fibroadenomas of ectopic axillary breast tissues. The sonographic appearance of the nodules was spherical and hypoechoic. We found the component of breast tissue near the nodule. It is important to diagnose fibroadenomas of ectopic breast tissue before a histologic examination.
