Using Harmonic Mean to Solve Multi-Objective Linear Programming Problems  [PDF]

Abstract:

In this paper, we have suggested a new technique to transform multi-objective linear programming problem (MOLPP) to the single objective linear programming problem by using Harmonic mean for values of function and an algorithm is suggested for its solution, the computer application of algorithm has been demonstrated by solving some numerical examples. We have used some other techniques, such as (sen, arithmetic mean, median) to solve the same problems, the results in Table 3 indicate that the new technique in general is promising.

Abstract: This paper represents the synthesis, spectral analysis and in-vitro cytotoxic studies of some novel fatty acid anti-cancer conjugates of 2, 6-diisopropylphenol (propofol). Propofol is a potent intravenous hypnotic agent which is widely used for the induction and maintenance of anesthesia and for sedation in the intensive care unit. Propofol also possess anti-cancer properties in addition to its sedative effects. Cytotoxicity of all the synthesized compounds was examined against human HeLa cancer cell lines. The anti-cancer screening of these novel drug candidates suggest that all of them reported here may be useful for the treatment of cancer as all of them exhibited significant anticancer activity against human HeLa cancer cell lines. The results indicate that these novel drug candidates might represent a new class of anticancer agents.

Abstract: Using the basic ingredient of two-body problem, we propose accurate algebraic solutions in a closed form for the ground state of helium and helium-like atoms. These simple but explicit expressions involve exact screening parameters for each system considered and provide an insight into their physical structure. The energy eigenvalues have been exactly calculated for atoms with nuclear charge Z in the range 1 ≤ Z ≤ 12, clarifying the relation between the screening parameteter and Z.

Western blot analysis was performed in the aorta from APOE and their wild-type (WT) control (C57BL/6J). Baseline CF (expressed as mL/min/g heart weight) was not different among WT (13.23 ± 3.58), APOE (13.22 ± 2.78), and APOE on high-fat diet (HFD) for 12 weeks (APOE-HFD, 12.37 ± 4.76). Concentration response curves induced by CGS-21680 were significantly shifted to the left in APOE and APOE-HFD when compared with WT. CCPA induced an increase in CF only at 10-6 M in all groups and the effect was reversed by the addition of a selective A2A AR antagonist, SCH-58261 (10-6 M), and a significant decrease in CF from baseline was observed. Western blot analysis showed a significant upregulation of A2A AR in the aorta from APOE and APOE-HFD. This study provides the first evidence that CF responses to A2A AR stimulation were upregulated in hyperlipidemic/atherosclerotic animals. The speculation is that the use of A2A AR-specific agonist for myocardial perfusion imaging (such as regadenoson) could overestimate the coronary reserve in coronary artery disease patients.

Abstract: In this paper we propose a new lifetime model, called the odd generalized exponential gompertz distribution. We obtained some of its mathematical properties. Some structural properties of the new distribution are studied. The method of maximum likelihood is used for estimating the model parameters and the observed Fisher’s information matrix is derived. We illustrate the usefulness of the proposed model by applications to real data.
Determination of caprine serum albumin in milk using bromocresol green dye  [PDF]

Abstract: The objective of this study was to develop and validate a colorimetric assay to measure caprine serum albumin (CSA) concentrations in milk. The principle of the say was based on the binding of albumin to bromocresol green (BCG) dye at pH 4.0. The absorption of the dye-albumin complex was determined spectrophotometrically at 640 nm. A linear relationship existed between CSA concentrations (0.01 to 8.0 mg/ml) and absorbance values. Intra-assay and interassay coefficients of variation for the proposed assay were 2.6% and 12% respectively. Recovery from milk samples spiked with albumins was 89.15% ± 7.6%. The developed assay was validated using 126 milk samples collected from lactating Saanen goats at various stages of lactation`. Caprine serum albumin concentrations in milk ranged between 0.31 and 0.52 mg/ml. The concentrations of CSA were significantly higher (p < 0.05) at the beginning of lactation, declined rapidly and remained relatively stable in mature milk. Caprine serum albumin correlated positively (p < 0.05) with milk somatic cell counts, total solids, protein, fat and whey and correlated negatively (p < 0.05) with milk lactose and casein concentrations. It was concluded that the proposed BCG dye-binding method is easy to perform, rapid, sensitive, reliable and can be used to determine CSA concentrations in milk collected from goats under different physiological conditions.

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there is a relationship between first rank concept at University Entrance Examination (UEE) and giftedness. Firstly, all interviews with champions of UEE checked over and then decided five main judgments which explain their opinion. Those judgments were checked with champion in 2006 UEE with qualitative research. To evaluate the data, five experts’ opinion was used. In this study you can find out decisions from literature to discuss our results. As a conclusion it was reached that champions of UEE are gifted at solving tests and there are also other gifted students accept champions. This research has an importance to show an evaluation from champion in 2006 UEE about education system which he was educated in.

According to our main thesis post-Islamic elites clustered around the JDP, have created a self-sustaining majority party through a moderate critique rather than an outright rejection of the Kemalist establishment. These post-Islamists, who have given up the dream of building a “just order”, have instead choosen to integrate Turkey into the global capitalist system. They have grasped well the transformation of global and local dynamics and shifted their rhetoric from a framework of Islam to democracy and human rights. At this point by dissociating from the radicalNational Outlook front they have remained within “acceptable limits” and thus have created a legitimate political ground.
