INFLUêNCIA DE DIVERSOS SUBSTRATOS NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DE MUDAS DE MARACUJAZEIRO AZEDO (Passiflora edulis Sims f. flavicarpa DEG)

Abstract: with the purpose of evaluating the influence of substrate on the development of yellow passion fruit, an experiment in a greenhouse at embrapa cerrados station has been conducted. the experimental design was a randomized block in a factorial scheme 2 x 4 x 3 x 2, totalizing 48 treatments, 18 useful plants by plot and four replications. the treatments had consisted of combinations of: two commercial substrate (plantmaxr ? to the base of vermiculiter plus pines bark and vermiculiter ? to the base of vermiculiter); three organic sources ? f.o. (humus, cows manure and nutriplantar (product base of bacteria) and absence of f.o., in the ratio of 3:1 of the basic substrate for f.o.; two formulated fertilizers [osmocoter as 14-14-14 (product of slow release of nutrients) and 4-14-8, of normal release], besides the absence of fertilizer and, absence and presence of glomus etunicatum. the artificial substrate plantmaxr was upper than the vermiculiter in all the analyzed features. among the f.o., the nutriplantar with cows manure had provided the best performance. the osmocoter promoted the biggest development of seedlings, followed by 4-14-8. the presence of absence of f.o. matched with plantmaxr practically did not influence the analyzed features. it must not use glomus etunicatum associated the plantmaxr, due to the high phosphorus content in this substrate.

Abstract: Objetivando avaliar a influência de diversos substratos no desenvolvimento de mudas de maracujazeiro-azedo, conduziu-se um experimento em casa de vegeta o da Emprapa Cerrados. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental de blocos casualizados, em esquema fatorial 2 x 4 x 3 x 2, totalizando 48 tratamentos, 18 plantas úteis por parcela e 4 repeti es. Os tratamentos constituíram-se das combina es de: dois substratos comerciais (PlantmaxR -- à base de vermiculita mais casca de Pinus sp e VermiculitaR); três fontes organicas (f.o.) (húmus, esterco de curral e NutriplantaR (produto à base de bactérias) e ausência de f.o., na propor o de 3:1 do substrato básico para a f.o.); duas formula es de adubo [OsmocoteR na fórmula 14-14-14 (produto de lenta libera o de nutrientes) e 4-14-8 (de libera o normal)], além da ausência de adubo; e Glomus etunicatum, ausência e presen a. O substrato comercial PlantmaxR foi superior à VermiculitaR em todas as características analisadas. Dentre as f.o., o NutriplantaR junto com o esterco proporcionaram o melhor desempenho. O OsmocoteR promoveu o maior desenvolvimento das mudas, seguido pelo 4-14-8. A presen a ou ausência de f.o. combinada com PlantmaxR praticamente n o influenciou nas características analisadas. N o se deve utilizar o Glomus etunicatum associado a PlantmaxR, devido ao alto teor de fósforo presente neste substrato.

Abstract: a field experiment was carried out in the jord?o farm in araguari, mg, brazil, during the winter season, to evaluate the agronomic potential of genotypes (santa cruz type) of tomato. the experimental design was in randomized blocks with 14 treatments (genotypes) and four replications. the experimental plot was made up of two lines (1.0 m between lines and 0.6 m between plants) with 12 plants each (two plants/pit). seventeen harvests were made, starting in 8/25/96, and ending in 10/19/96. in general, all genotypes showed high production compared to the brazilian production average. the genotypes santa clara i-5300, débora plus, santa clara, santa clara (imported) and santa clara iii showed production higher than 125 tons/ha, indicating that those genotypes can be cultivated in that region, in the winter season. only two genotypes, tom-556 and angela gigante i-5100 did not show fruit weight higher than 100 g/fruit. the cultivars saladinha, santa clara (imported), concord and jumbo showed average weight higher than 130 g/fruit, and high percentage of fruits classified as extra aa type; santa clara, santa clara i-5300, iac santa clara, while tom-556, tex-015 and angela gigante i-5100 presented higher number of fruits type a.

Abstract: a field experiment was carried out in the jord?o farm in araguari, mg, brazil, during the summer season, to evaluate the agronomic potential of genotypes (santa cruz type) of tomato. a randomized block design was used with 16 treatments (genotypes) and four replicates. the experimental plot was made up of two lines (1.00 m between lines and 0.55 m between plants) with 12 plants each (1 plant/pit). seventeen harvests were made, starting 69 days after transplanting. several genotypes as saladinha, débora plus, sm-16 and atlas had a good agronomic performance, being recommended to be cultivated in the region, in the summer season. classified as aa type, the saladinha and atlas showed an average of 140 g/fruit. during the experiment a negative correlation, r = -0.52 and -0.54, could be observed, in the first evaluation, and correlation r = -0.55 and -0.45 in the second evaluation between total production, and commercial production in relation to geminivirus infection, respectively, for the different genotypes. the saladinha e sm-16 hybrids showed the lowest number of infected plants, while santa clara imported, santa clara, jumbo ag-592 and iac santa clara showed the highest number.

Abstract: the social representations of the environment of 791 students of basic education for palmas (to) in elementary and high school networks both private, municipal and state were investigated by examining documents and field research, using the technique of mind mapping. the identification of elements of representations of the environment, presented by the students was based on the overall analysis of each student's drawings of the stages of elementary school i and ii, and high school. we considered that the origins of the representations are linked through categorization, especially the discourses of teachers and the very existence of each student, and the perception that each has of the environment / location in which they reside.

Abstract: the objective of this work was to study the effect of the immersion in solution of calcium chloride on the physical characteristics of the sweet passion fruit (passiflora alata dryander) during storage. the fruits, picked in the pre-climateric stadium, after disinfection with the fungicide thiabendazol (1 g/l) were immersed, for two hours, in the following concentrations of calcium chloride: control (0% de cacl2) 1% of cacl2, 2% of cacl2, 3% of cacl2 and 4% of cacl2. after the treatments, all the fruits were maintained under refrigerated conditions (9°c and 85-90% rm), for 30 days. the fruits were evaluated each 6 days, for the weight loss, coloration, and amount of the pulp. at the end of the studied period, the concentration of 1% of cacl2 was the best to delay the evolution of the color of the peel. the applied concentrations had no influence on the weight loss and on the amount of the pulp. the concentration of 4% of cacl2 was excessive because it contributed to the weight loss and ripening of the fruits

Abstract: the effect of pre-cooling and of wax coating was studied on the post-harvest conservation of sweet passion fruit (passiflora alata dryander), by monitoring the main physical and chemical alterations during the storage period. fruits were submitted to the following treatments: control; wax sta fresh (1:2); pre-cooling (-2°c for 2 hours) + wax sta fresh (1:2); pre-cooling (-2°c for 2 hours). fruits were evaluated every 6 days for weight loss, texture, total juice, total soluble solids and titratable acidity. after 30 days at 9°c and 85-90% relative humidity, the best treatment for the conservation of sweet passion fruit was the use of wax sta fresh. pre-cooling, and pre-cooling + wax, were not efficient for the maintenance of the post-harvest quality.

Abstract: Estudou-se o efeito do choque a frio e da cera, na conserva o pós-colheita do maracujá-doce (Passiflora alata Dryander), verificando as principais altera es físicas e químicas durante o armazenamento. Os frutos, colhidos no estádio pré-climatérico, foram desinfetados com hipoclorito de sódio e em seguida, submetidos aos tratamentos: testemunha; cera Sta fresh (1:2); choque frio (-2°C por 2 horas) + cera Sta fresh (1:2); choque frio (-2°C por 2 horas). Os frutos foram avaliados a cada 6 dias quanto a perda de peso, textura, rendimento de suco, sólidos solúveis totais e acidez total titulável. Após 30 dias a 9°C e 85-90% UR, pode-se concluir que o tratamento mais adequado à conserva o do maracujá-doce foi o que utilizou a cera Sta Fresh. Os tratamentos com choque a frio e com choque a frio + cera n o foram eficientes para manuten o da qualidade pós-colheita do maracujá-doce.

Abstract: Este trabalho teve por objetivo estudar o efeito da imers o em solu o de cloreto de cálcio nas características físicas do maracujá-doce (Passiflora alata Dryander), durante seu armazenamento. Os frutos, colhidos no estádio pré-climatérico, após desinfec o com o fungicida thiabendazol (1g/l) foram imersos, por duas horas, nas seguintes concentra es de cloreto de cálcio: testemunha (0% de CaCl2), 1% de CaCl2, 2% de CaCl2, 3% de CaCl2 e 4% de CaCl2. Após os tratamentos, todos os frutos foram armazenados sob condi es de refrigera o (9°C e 85-90% UR), durante 30 dias. Os frutos foram avaliados a cada 6 dias quanto à perda de massa fresca, colora o e rendimento de polpa. Ao final do período estudado pode-se verificar que a concentra o de 1% de CaCl2 foi a que melhor retardou a evolu o da cor da casca. N o ocorreu influência das doses aplicadas na perda de massa fresca e no rendimento de polpa dos frutos. A concentra o de 4% de CaCl2 foi excessiva para o maracujá-doce, pois contribuiu para a perda de massa fresca e para o amadurecimento dos frutos.

Abstract: an experimental field was carried out in the jord?o farm, located in araguari, mg, brazil, at 18o38'30" s and 48o11'18" w, during the winter season, with the purpose of evaluating the agronomic potential of sweet pepper cultivars. the experimental design was in randomized blocks with 17 treatments (17 genotypes) with four replications. the experimental plots were made up each of one line with 30 plants, with 1 m of space between lines and 0,45 m between plants. a total of ten harvestings were made starting on july 28, 1996 (77 days after transplanting) and ending on november 9, 1996. several f1 hybrids as lygia f1, magali f1, magali r f1, acuário f1, luis f1, fresco (bs 50-30) f1 and sambor f1 showed good agronomic characteristics, enabling them to be cultivated in the region, in the winter season. the lygia f1 cultivar was the highest producer (followed by acuário f1 and magali f1) and also showed the highest number of fruits. however, these fruits presented a square shape and fruit classification under the extra aa class. the acuário f1, sambor f1, fresco (bs 50-30) f1, luis f1 and all big genotypes produced a high number of fruits extra aa, while magna super, nacional ag-506, itaipu and hércules ag-672 showed a high percentage of fruits classified as extra a.
