LIU Qing
Zhong Xi Yi Jie He Xue Bao , 2003,
Abstract: ABSTRACT: With the further development of clinical modernization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), new request to tongue diagnosis for objectivity and quantification is raised. Many researchers have devoted themselves to this field and have achieved some accomplishments since 1950's. Especially in recent years, the revolution of information technique derived from computer industry brings the research new chances. The research history of the past five decades can be divided into three stages: (1) looking for micro-markers by newly-developed medical technique; (2) quantifying traditional markers by new technique; (3) further development based on information technique and corporation of multiple subjects. This article reviewed the three stages and described its prospect.

Abstract: Objective: To explore the characteristics of the sublingual venae in patients with primary liver cancer (PLC). Methods: The shape, color and the red, green and blue values of the sublingual venae were analyzed quantitatively for PLC patients in different clinical stages by analysis system for comprehensive information of tongue diagnosis. Results: With the aggravating of the disease, the patients' sublingual venae became wide and tortuous, and their color became blue and purple. The abnormality of the sublingual venae was more serious in clinical stage III than in stages I and II (P<0.05). Conclusion: The shape, color and abnormality degree of the sublingual venae in patients with PLC in different clinical stages are distinct.
Stable reduction of finite covers of curves

Mathematics , 2004, DOI: 10.1112/S0010437X05001557
Abstract: Let K be the function field of a connected regular scheme S of dimension 1, and let f : X -> Y be a finite cover of projective smooth and geometrically connected curves over K with g(X) greater or equal to 2. Suppose that f can be extended to a finite cover {\mathcal X} -> {\mathcal Y} of semi-stable models over S (it is known that this is always possible up to finite separable extension of K). We prove that there then exists a (unique) minimal such cover. This gives a canonical way to extend X -> Y to a finite cover of semi-stable models over S.

Abstract: In this article, a real number is defined as a granulation and the real space is transformed into real granu-lar space1]. In the entironment, solution of nonlinear equation is denoted by granulation in real granular space. Hence, the research of whole optimization to solve nonlinear equation based on granular computing is proposed2]. In classicalcase, we solve usually accurate solution of problems. If can't get accurate solution, also finding out an approximate solutionto close to accurate solution. But in real space, approximate solution to close to accurate solution is very vague concept. Inreal granular space, all of the approximate solutions to close to accurate solution are constructed a set, it is a granulation inreal granular space. Hence, this granulation is an accurate solution to solve problem in some sense, such, we avoid to sayvaguely "approximate solution to close to accurate solution". We introduce the concept of granulation in one dimension real space. Any positive real number a together with movinginfinite small distance ε will be constructed an interval a-ε,a+ε], we call it as granulation in real granular space, denotedby ε(a) or a]. We will discuss related properties and operations3] of the granulations. Let one dimension real space be R, where each real number a will be generated a granulation, hence we get a granularspace R* based on real space R. Obviously, R∈R*. Infinite small number in real space R is only O, and there are three in-finite small granulations in real number granular space R* : 0], ε] and -ε]. As the graph in Fig. 1 shows. In Fig. 1,-ε] is a negative infinite small granulation,ε] is a positive infinite small granulation,0] is a infinite small granulation.a] is a granulation of real number a generating, it could be denoted by interval a-ε,a+ε] in real space 3-5].Letf(x)=0 be a nonliner equation, its graph in interval-3,10]id showed in Fig.2.Where -3≤x≤10 Relation ρ(f‖,ε)is defied is follows:(x1,x2)∈ p(f‖,ε)iff |f(x1)- f(x2)|<εWhere ε is any given small real number. We have five appoximate solution sets on the nonliner equation f(x)=0 by ρ(f‖,ε)∧|f(x)|a,b]max,to denote by granulationsxi1+xi2/2],xi3+xi4/2],xi5+xi6/2],xi7+xi8/2]andxi9+xi10/2]respectively,where |f(x)|a,b]max denotes local maximum on x ∈a,b].This is whole optimum on nonliear equation in interval -3,10].We will get best opmension solution on nonliner equation via computing f(x)to use the five solutions dented by grandlation in one dimension real granlar space2,5].

International Journal of Geosciences (IJG) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/ijg.2012.32042
Abstract: The climate change in Shandong Peninsula, China was analyzed in this paper by the non-parametric Mann-Kendall test, Accumulated Difference Curve and Order Cluster Analysis methods, based upon the datas of annual mean, maximum and minimum temperature and annual precipitation, precipitation from June to September over the past 50 years. Results obtained showed a number of observations: 1) The annual mean temperature of Shandong Peninsula showed a significant increasing trend, with a distinct abrupt change point detected around 1990, during the past 5 decades. The warming of the Peninsula over the last 50 years was due mainly to the significant increase of annual minimum temperature. The annual maximum temperature demonstrated a mixed trend of decreasing and increasing, but was statistically insignificant, and no abrupt change was detected; 2) The annual precipitation exhibited a decreasing trend during the past 5 decades, with an abrupt change detected around 1980 at most stations; but there was an earlier transition point at 1966, at a few stations. The reduction in precipitation, from June to September, was responsible mainly for the decrease of annual precipitation. Besides, the proportion of the June-September precipitation in the year declined slightly over the last 50 years; 3) In comparison, the temperature evolution in Shandong Peninsula was basically consistent with most parts of China, but warmed at a faster rate over the same period; the decreasing trend of precipitation was more significant compared with the other climate zones of China. Within the Peninsula, the abrupt change of temperature and precipitation in the Southeast was earlier than that in the Northwest; the reduction of precipitation was larger in the Southeast while the increase of temperature was more significant in the Northwest. This research was of great importance to understand the climate change and its environmental effects in the coastal zone.
Social Balance in the Triangle-Growing Networks  [PDF]
Wei Liu, Qing-Kuan Meng
Social Networking (SN) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/sn.2013.23014
Abstract: In this article, we construct a triangle-growing network with tunable clusters and study the social balance dynamics in this network. The built network, which could reflect more features of real communities, has more triangle relations than the ordinary random-growing network. Then we apply the local triad social dynamics to the built network. The effects of the different cluster coefficients and the initial states to the final stationary states are discussed. Some new features of the sparse networks are found as well.

International Journal of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (IJOHNS) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/ijohns.2014.32019

Objective: To report an unusual case of pyriform sinus-pleural-mediastinal fistula secondary to internal penetrating trauma by a toothbrush, with emphasis on management options. Case report: A 26-year-old woman swallowed a toothbrush in a violent manner 8 months ago in an attempt of self-mutilation. She immediately complained of neck pain and dysphagia. She was diagnosed with pyriform sinus-pleural-mediastinal fistula. The fistula was repaired. Primary closure was performed and covered with the sternocleidomastoid muscle flap, and reinforced with thyroid tissue and surrounding tissues. The patient did not present any complications or recurrence, and she gained weight after the operation. Conclusion: Early recognition of hypopharyngeal perforation is important, and in selected cases, immediate repair of the perforation can lead to a good prognosis.

The Mute in the Shadow in the Distance: Towards a New “Oriental Femininism”
Hui-qing LIU
Cross-Cultural Communication , 2010, DOI: 10.3968/994
Abstract: Ruan Lingyu as a film illustrating “women as women” as real women denies radical Feminism of film studies to remarkable degree: there’s no sexual appeal, thus no “male gaze” in sense of humiliating females; there is persecution of patriarchism, yet what finally leaves her no choice other than death is that the three men she loves would not give her real love in return. Though the woman is in “center stage” position, as if “the whole sky”, she’s especially unhappy. And, how striking her beauty, silence, endurance, her will are, even and especially in the distance in the shadow. Here the “Oriental” Femininism is in fact for the mute among all the women in this world, for those who never pronounce anger and resistance, because their happiness lies not simply in “equality”, “liberation”, but in “love”, no matter in the “first” or “second” or “third” world they are.
