On the Cell Breathing Technique to Reduce Congestion Applying Bandwidth Limitation

Abstract: In order to effectively analyze or evaluate the performance of Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANs), it is important to identify what types of network settings can cause bad performance in the network when analyzing poor network performance, there is an important factor which is responsible for poor performance is when a number of users may obtain a much larger share of the available bandwidth in access point in a limited boundary as provided in the concept of cell breathing technique. In this paper, we proposed a new concept in which we can set bandwidth limitation so that no user can access data more than the specified limit for a particular access point. In this way the different users will get an efficient access over the network.
Enhancement of TCP Performance with the Help of Snoop Protocol in Wired CUM Wireless Network

Abstract: The TCP networks have been the only communication for wired media that followed IEEE 802.3networks. This paper attempts to provide a comprehensive overview of this Link Layer approach i.e.Snoop protocol that improving throughput of TCP in wireless networks. It first explains the role of Snoopprotocol that overcomes the limitations of TCP protocols in wireless media. We investigated theapplication of this protocol in wireless networks and observed that a single hop in the wireless networkexperienced large variations in round trip time in a very short period. Without changes to the Snoopprotocol to accommodate these dramatic RTT variations, Snoop was performing badly compared withregular TCP even when there were no packet losses or errors. The main cause for this is prematureretransmissions performed by Snoop. We have modified the Snoop protocol to avoid these unnecessaryretransmissions by having a higher local retransmission timeout. The results showed us that Snoopbenefits from this approach which has made a significant performance improvement over regular TCP inmultihop wired cum wireless networks
A Mathematical Approach to Avoid Congestion and To Analyize Snoop Behaviour In Wired Cum Wireless Network

Abstract: Performance of the TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) has been promising in wired networks. In wired network the packet loss is due to congestion. But the performance of TCP has degraded in wireless network where packet loss is not only due to congestion but to be also due to high bit error rates and hand offs. Also improving its performance in wired-cum-wireless networks preserving the end-to-end nature of TCP is a difficult task. To address this issue, several new protocols and TCP modifications have been proposed. Snoop is one such modification. In this paper we have surveyed some of the proposed solutions to improve TCP performance on wired-cum-wireless medium.

The development processes are different and the measures required to assess them have to be different.

Abstract: Quadratic Rotation decomposition (QRD) based recursive least squares (RLS) algorithm can be used in variety of communication applications and its low complexity implementation can be of interest. In this paper we have presented an application of QRD based RLS algorithm using Coordinate Rotation by Digital Computer (CORDIC) operator for implementing an adaptive beamformer. FPGA resource estimates along with actual implementation results have been presented and are being compared with its existing implementation.

Abstract: Helical antennas have been widely used in a various useful applications, due to their low weight and low profile conformability, easy and cheap realization.Radiation properties of this antenna are examined both theoretically and experimentally. In this paper, an attempt has been made to investigate new helical antenna structure for Applications. CST MWS Software is used for the simulation and design calculations of the helical antennas. The axial ratio, return loss, VSWR, Directivity, gain, radiation pattern is evaluated. Using CST MWS simulation software proposed antenna is designed/simulated and optimized. The antenna exhibits a single band from 0 GHz to 3 GHz for GPS and several satellite applications

Abstract: This paper is an effort to develop secure web applications based on known vulnerabilities. It has been seen that in the rapid race of developing web applications in minimum time and budget, security is given least importance as consequence of which web applications are developed and hosted with number of vulnerabilities in them. And in this race, one thing is constant that attackers take advantage of weaknesses existing in technology for financial gain and theft of intellectual property. In this proposed method of secure web development, most common vulnerabilities and their occurrence in development process is discussed. Mapping vulnerabilities to the actions needed to take during development process may help developers to understand vulnerability and avoid vulnerabilities in application.
Satellite Image Classification by Hybridization of FPAB Algorithm and Bacterial Chemotaxis

Abstract: Bacterial Foraging Optimization (BFO) has beenwidely accepted as a global optimization technique. Thistechnique is proposed by K.M. Passino in 2002 to handlecomplex problems of the real world. In this work, we aim toclassify the satellite image using the theory of Bacterial ForagingOptimization. One key step in BFO is the computationalChemotaxis, where a bacterium takes steps over the foraginglandscape in order to reach regions with high nutrient content.The Chemotactic movement of a bacterium may be viewed as aguided random walk. In this paper we design a new algorithmwhich is based on Bacterial Foraging Optimization which is usedto classify the satellite image. Firstly we use a swarm dataclustering method based upon flower pollination by artificialbees (FPAB) to cluster the satellite image pixels. Those clusterswill be further classified using BFO. This new method shows animproved highly accurate results for the classification of satelliteimage when the proposed algorithm is used.
Purification and characterization of a heat-stable acid phosphatase from chickpea

Abstract: Acid phosphatases (APases) form a group of enzymes catalyzing hydrolysis of avariety of phosphate esters in the acidic environments. APases are believed to increaseorthophosphate (Pi) availability under phosphorous deficient conditions. The APase fromchickpea was purified by ethanol precipitation, followed by successive chromatographies onDEAE-Cellulose and Sephadex G-150. The enzyme was purified 73-folds. The optimumtemperature and pH for enzyme activity were 50 °C and 5.5, respectively. All metal saltsexcept ZnCl2 and HgCl2 were tolerated and did not adversely affect APase activity. Thepurified enzyme had a lower Km (0.25 mM) and higher Vmax (9 mM) for PNPP. The APase hadbroad substrate specificity with PNPP and natural substrates.
IN VITRO ANTIMICROBIAL AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF GINKGO BILOBA BARK EXTRACT

Abstract: Ginkgo biloba also called as Maidenhair Tree, belongs to the family Ginkgoaceae. In this study, the hydro-Methenolic extract from bark of Ginkgo biloba was screened for their in vitro antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. The antibacterial activities of extract against both Gram-positive & Gram-negative bacteria was determined by agar well diffusion method, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), relative percentage inhibition and antioxidant activity was determined by means of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH), Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and reducing power scavenging activity. The antimicrobial potency of extract based on their zones of inhibition (mm) and MIC values and relative percentage inhibition.The extract exhibited maximum zone of inhibition against Streptococcus faecalis and minimum zone of inhibition against Escherichia Coli. The MIC values of extract and standard drug ranges between 2.5-6 mg/ml and 0.92-3.5 μg/ml respectively. Extract exhibited maximum relative percentage inhibition against Streptococcus faecalis (77.4 %) and lowest against Proteus vulgaris (42.03 %). For antioxidant activity, results of 1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl and hydrogen peroxide method, was expressed as IC50. Ascorbic acid was used as standard showed IC50 of 20.4 μg/ml & 95 μg/ml respectively whereas extract of bark of Ginkgo biloba showed IC50 of 40 μg/ml & 105 μg/ml respectively. In reducing power method the reducing power of extract was determined and compared with standard ascorbic acid, increased absorbance with increased concentration significantly increase in reducing power. The extract showed the potent antioxidant and antimicrobial activity, which concludes that the extract can be used as antimicrobial and antioxidant agent.
