Abstract: This study it analyzes the ways of performance of the nurse in the different fields of the management of the health system, identifying intervening factors in the management process; aspects related to its formation that favor or harm the practical one of the management, as also, the necessary preceding experiences to the performance of the paper of manager in the present time. A exploratory research of field with nurses of 11 pertaining cities to the Regional Management of Health of Manhumirim/MG will be developed, through half-structuralized interview. One expects through the results, to demonstrate the relevancy of the formation of the nurse for the construction of the paper of managing nurse of health system.
Nursing phenomena in diabetic patients - a cross-sectional study

Abstract: Diabetic patients present nursing phenomena scarcely studied in the literature. The aim of this paper was to identify the nursing phenomena, considered health alterations, presented by diabetic patients registered and accompanied in a Basic Unit of Health, with base in the International Classification for Nursing Practice. It is a cross-sectional study developed with 65 diabetic for randomized select accompanied in a basic unit of health. It was analyzed the health condition alteration indicative physiologic phenomena. The nominal data were organized in tables with absolute, percentile frequencies with estimate of the confidence interval of 95%. The numeric variables were analyzed by average difference tests (Student's T). It stood out the phenomena related to sensation functions (100,0%), restoration (66,2%) and circulation (52,3%). In this functions were identified 30 phenomena of different nursing being the ones of larger frequency the Altered vision (80,0%), Hunger (49,2%), Pain (47,7%), Thirst (40,0%), Intermittent sleep (35,4%), Itching (33,8%) and Altered Hearing (26,2%). We were identified statistically significant association between categorized variables glycemia and age (p = 0,007) and between categorized variables glycemia and education (p = 0,007). It was concluded that the main nursing phenomena identified are consequences of the physiologic alterations produced by the elevated glycemia. The visual alterations, hunger, pain and thirst are the most frequent and collaborate for function sensation alterations.

Abstract: The present article discuss nursing diagnosis face sexual abuse victim child, considering magnitude problem in health and psychosexual development repercussions. The objective is reflect about nurse action face childhood sexual abuse situations. Methodology: this is a descriptive and exploratory study, using bibliographic survey about nurse participation in childhood sexual abuse diagnosis. We believe that is necessary to sensitize nurse about detection responsibility of determinants aspects, attempting for social, cultural and economical children's family context. The result point to the necessity of an efficient and quality nursing assistance, witch is able to identify and recognize psychosocial indicators, having focus in child protection and damage reduction

Nursing care at new mental health services - experience report

Abstract: The nursing attendance in mental health has been changing your paradigm, such as psychiatric remodeling and the new role assumed by the nurses. This study aims to describe the activities developed for a group of nursing academics during the practical process of teaching-learning applied at patients with mental disease in therapeutic phase. It is an experience report developed at a Psychosocial Support Center located at the city of Fortaleza-Ceará in the period held from September to November of 2004. The activities implemented by the academics were the group of community therapy, the wait room group and the therapeutic relationship. The community therapy and the therapeutic relationship obtained larger success due to the deep interaction between patients and academics, in addiction to the confort and sence of valuable the activities caused them. The development of the experience revealed itself important once it provided the mutual learning, obtaining satisfactory results and certainty that these activities are susceptible of implementation in other services.
Basic human needs achievment by nursing undergraduated students

Abstract: The fourteen human basic needs (HBN) described by Henderson define the Nursing care spectrum. It is a nurse duty, regarding the basic human needs, to support and improve the health status, in helping the patient to raise self awareness of the HBN. The present article is the result of a descriptive-exploratory study that aims at evaluating the time that the first year-students of the Nursing course from the Health School of the University of Aveiro - Portugal, spend to satisfy their basic human needs throughout a week. An exploratory study was developed based on a quantitative approach. For data collection, a diary instrument built of seven record sheets for registering of the student time was elaborated. By the data analyses, it was concluded that students had spent more time to sleep, resting and learning, reaching 60,06% of the weekly total occupation time. Although variations in the time spent for the satisfaction of the diverse needs throughout the week do exist, those are not significant. The need to prevent harm and to follow according to beliefs and values were the ones that students had spent less time.

Abstract: The utilization of conceptual models without a reflection about your definitions has been being common in our country. The present work has as aim to analyze the semantic consistency of percetion concept in King′s Opened Systems Structure in two postgraduation program dissertations of the Nursing Department of the Federal University of the Ceará. It was used as theories analysis model the proposed by Chinn and Kramer. Methodological and interpretative differences was observed in the concept perception utilization in the two evaluated works. It was concluded that the authors to the adopt the concept in their studies with hypertensive patients and with children's nourished poorly mothers used different approaches.

Abstract: In the Northeast Brazil the pregnancy is culturally related to femininity (woman) and virility (man) therefore to be infertile can threaten the marriage union. To describe the infertile couple’s experience who lives in Northeast Brazil and was submitted to in vitro fertilization (IVF), we conducted a clinical case study with qualitative approach using the Symbolic Interactionism (Blumer, 1969) and Thematic Analysis (Bardin, 1979) as theoretical and methodological framework, respectively. This study revealed that to submit to IVF is an experience full of conflict and uncertainty, requiring an especialized assistance in regards to human reproduction and a holistic nursing care considering the cultural issues.
Profile of patients with renal transplant - a cross-sectional study

Abstract: The renal transplant is the majority choice treatment of the patients with chronic renal deficiency. Such fact it owes to the appearance of powerful immunosuppressive drugs and to the rigorous criterion in the donors' choice. It aimed identify patients' renal transplanted profile. Quantitative study of cross-sectional, exploratory and descriptive type, performed in hospital academic of Fortaleza, between months from december/2004 to april/2005. The data collection instrument was an interview script. The results showed that most was of the masculine sex, with average 40 year and 51,7% lived with companion. The average family income was of 4,44 minimum wages and most was retired. We realize that the profile study of these patients provided us a reality larger knowledge, contributing to address the ambulatory assistance to this clientele.
