Abstract: this study's main objective was to verify how the implementation of inclusive education projects has been developing in brazilian public primary schools. thirteen teachers whose classrooms include pupils with special needs participated in this investigation. a questionnaire composed of four open questions was used. the data collected was subjected to content analysis. the main results have shown that the changes in the schools occurred almost exclusively with their physical infrastructure; and that in some of them not even these modifications were executed. the professionals have not received any training that might help them develop inclusive projects. in addition, the majority of them have little or no knowledge at all of the students' deficiencies and of inclusive education. the indication is that educational inclusion has been done without adequate infrastructure, both human and material, and that the result might bring more damages than benefits to those participating in it.

Abstract: this research intended to discuss the questions relating to the teacher competence to teach, from a set of knowledge related to the teacher‘s job. 36 primary school teachers of the first and second grade took part in this study. these teachers were from 7 municipal schools of a city in the interior of paraná. most of them (72,22%) have done only the magistério and 36,11% have a little professional experience. a scale of self-evaluation of the teaching competence of the participants was used. the referred scale is composed by 72 items - abilities for the teacher‘s job - was developed by the researcher. the teachers should choose among 5 judgement from the scale. the judgement was: nothing, more or less, a lot, too much. the results, from the analysis of average and percentages, indicated that the population studied, assessed themselves as competent and with abilities in teaching.

Abstract: in this work we study educators understanding (at public and private schools) of difficulties faced in school process, those seen as school complaints. we interviewed 24 educators divided into two groups (1g- two private schools educators) and (2g- two public schools educators). the interviews were examined according to content analysis and they were organized in categories. we achieved marxist exercise of analysis, for searching consonance with the theoretical referential used - the historical- cultural psychology, having as methodology bases, the historical-dialectical materialism. the results revealed that in both groups (1g and 2g) the educators start assuming that the school complaints are directly related to students only. this way, the participants disregard that complaints/failure school achieved in schools even when those are directly involved with the organization and the social structure.

Abstract: with this study we aim to understand and to reflect on educational provisions in schools for students with intellectual disabilities, in order to understand the underlying learning expectations and conceptions of educators concerning intellectual disability. twenty-one educators from three special schools (apfes - association of parents and friends of the exceptional) located in the state of paraná were interviewed. the results indicate positive expectations concerning their student's school learning; in contradiction, there was a naturalized process of not-learning, based on a conception of incapacity regarding the ability to learn scientific knowledge, centered on organic irreversibility. thus, it seems clear that the ability to learn depends basically on the student. such a conception denies existing relations in the learning process, neglects the roles of the teacher, the school, the family, the state and its policies. it enhances neoliberal ideologies, as such ideologies understand social issues individually, neglecting the interplay between disability and its historical construction.

Abstract: the present study refers to the inclusion of students with special needs in classrooms of regular schools. the purpose was to assess the opinion students without disability have about inclusive education. a total of 40 students with different experiences regarding inclusion (20 from special schools and 20 from public primary schools) participated in the research. a questionnaire containing three open questions was employed to collect data. the data was examined for content and statistical significance (chi-squared). the results revealed that most of the students have a satisfactory opinion about inclusion. however they have pointed out several difficulties regarding inclusion, in particular, social discrimination. the feeling of most students towards inclusion were positive ones.

Abstract: this paper aimed at verifying how inclusive education projects have been implemented in regular education public and private schools located in a small town in the state of paraná. the research sample was made up of two groups of teachers who have students with disability in their classrooms: (g1- two public school teachers) and (g2- two private school teachers) with a total of 26 participants. questionnaires were applied and the results were examined according to content analysis and organized in categories. the results showed that, as yet, neither public nor private schools have adequate infrastructure to enable them to develop inclusive projects, and human resources are one of the main concerns. most of the professionals showed their lack of understanding and preparation for coping with diversity in the classroom. neither didactic and pedagogic resources nor proper methodologies suited to special students' needs were being developed in any of the four schools that were studied. thus, inclusive practices in these schools are limited, with poor conditions for conducting quality inclusive teaching; these results hinder the students′ with disabilities rights to to learning, development and effective participation in society.

Abstract: this study aimed, firstly, verifying the way psychological evaluation assists children who present difficulties during the educational process, and secondly, analyzing the contribution of historical-cultural psychology assumptions to that process. initially, a bibliographical search on the theme 'psychological evaluation' and on fundamental concepts, concerning historical-cultural psychology, was carried out and afterwards, twelve psychological professionals, acting in schools, were interviewed. regarding brazilian specific literature on the subject, the main results revealed that psychological tests have been the instruments mostly used in the process of psychological evaluation. but, on the other hand, that procedure has not maintained hegemony among the participants during the investigation, what, in fact, is considered a progress for psychology addressed to education. as a result, it was concluded that evaluation processes are necessary to analyze the potential of individuals considering all that is found in the zone of proximal development.

Abstract: the objective of this experiment was estimate sperm concentration of "dourado" (salminus brasiliensis), "curimba" (prochilodus lineatus), "jundiá" (rhamdia quelen), "cascudo-preto" (rhinelepis aspera) and nile tilapia (oreochromis niloticus) by the method of spermatocrit. it was used 19, 58, 51, 43 and 85 brood fish of "dourado", "curimba", "jundia", "cascudo-preto" and nile tilapia, respectively. except for the nile tilapia, the fishes were subjected to the hormonal induction process and then submitted to the semen collection. the measurement techniques of the sperm concentration by sperm count in neubauer chamber (cspz) and by spermatocrit (espmt) were compared. the results were submitted to the regression analysis at 5% of probability. it was observed that the variables cspz and espmt presented linear relationship to the "curimba", "jundia" and nile tilapia with equations y = 6.6624 × 109 + 368553 × 108x; y = 2.153 × 109 + 4.426 × 108x and y = -9.0897 × 108 + 6.0167 × 108, respectively. the method of spermatocrit can be used to estimate the sperm concentration of "curimba", "jundiá" and nile tilapia.
Polynomial-Time, Semantically-Secure Encryption Achieving the Secrecy Capacity

Abstract: In the wiretap channel setting, one aims to get information-theoretic privacy of communicated data based only on the assumption that the channel from sender to receiver is noisier than the one from sender to adversary. The secrecy capacity is the optimal (highest possible) rate of a secure scheme, and the existence of schemes achieving it has been shown. For thirty years the ultimate and unreached goal has been to achieve this optimal rate with a scheme that is polynomial-time. (This means both encryption and decryption are proven polynomial time algorithms.) This paper finally delivers such a scheme. In fact it does more. Our scheme not only meets the classical notion of security from the wiretap literature, called MIS-R (mutual information security for random messages) but achieves the strictly stronger notion of semantic security, thus delivering more in terms of security without loss of rate.
