Abstract: the objectives of the present study were to investigate the influence of liming and mineral and organic fertilization on yields of cv. 'montenegrina' tangerines (citrus deliciosa tenore) grafted onto poncirus trifoliata raf. the grove was planted in july of 1988 on a dark-red podzolic (rhodic paleudult) soil. the experiment was set up in randomized blocks design composed of nine treatments and four replicates, with three plants per plot. the treatments were: control (without liming and fertilizers); soil acidity neutralization to ph 6,5 before planting; annually poultry manure and liming; annually cattle manure and liming; annually n and k fertilizers and liming; annually n and k fertilizers, liming and p fertilizer before planting; annually n, p and k fertilizers and liming; annually n, k and double the rate of p, and liming; annually n, p and k fertilizers without liming. the results showed that p application before planting were sufficient to maintain adequate fruit yield up to eight years after planting. the increases of leaf n contents was positively related to increases in production and to decreases of the average fruit weight. the ammonium sulphate application acidifies the soil, and requires a greater quantity of liming support.

Abstract: introduction. this research, which has as universe a group of teachers, approaches to erikson's theory of psycho social development with a cualitative- cuantitative analytic focus, including both the personal and professional levels. it involves eight particular schools, with a catholic orientation, of fundamental and high school education from porto alegre, brasil, in 2001. objective. to find out how psycho social contents and syntonic and dystonic strengths are internalized in each particle, departing from the meaning of these for each teacher in their personal lives and their performances in the education field. materials and methods. to collect the information a survey was made, with 18 questions concerning each one of the 8 psycho social practices, with different options to answer: 1-never, 2-rarely, 3-with a certain frequency, 4- very often and 5- always. the data were analysed with a spss 10.0 program, which works from an archive raof tabulated data. results. the research shows that erkison's theory on psycho social practices is valid in the personal and affective development of the teachers and the influence of syntonic and dystonic forces in their educational performances. they interact in a dynamic way, in a systematic balance /unbalance equilibrium in the personal and professional life of teachers. psycho social crisis act during all of the life time, disregarding any sequential line in the family, personal or professional dimensions. the dialectics of psycho social crisis, for both people or society, gives birth to a desire of getting over them and keep a positive balance between them and the appearance of the forces that boost growth and positive virtues of life. conclusion. the positive performance of this group of teachers is a proof of the premise that says that, in the normal development of a person, the extension of syntonic forces is bigger than weaknesses and dystonic forces. is very important to go on with the efforts to keep the values of confi

Abstract: introduction. this article presents the results of a research work about the implications of kohlberg's moral development level in higher education. objective. to identify the state of moral development among higher education teachers, departing from the orientation they give to their lives and to those of their students, and from what they think and say they do for their students' moral education. with the results, an analysis is done in order to establish the implications for the education of teachers. materials and methods. a discussion about the moral dilemmas proposed by kohlberg is made. the teachers answer a series of questions about each dilemma, justifying his/her point of view and finishing with an interview to clarify the contents of the answers. results.11 (64,70%) teachers in the conventional level. 5 (29,40%) at stage 3 - expectations, interpersonal relationships and accomplishment and 6 (35,30%) at stage 4 - preservation of the social system and the consciousness; and 6 (35,30%) at a post-conventional level, all at the stage 5 - the social contract or the usefulness of individual rights. discussion. the results confirm kohlberg's research works, in which it is said that most of people locate themselves in a conventional level of moral development. this leads to a reflection concerning the fact that higher education teachers are at that moral development level and how, then, can teachers be formed to educate children and young people for achieving higher stages. conclusion. there can not be a consciousness about social and educative transformation if the members of a society (or a significant number of its leaders), and especially its teachers, do not reach a post-conventional level under moral development terms.

Abstract: Introducción. Ese trabajo presenta los resultados de una investigación sobre las Implicaciones de los Niveles de Desarrollo Moral de Kohlberg en la Educación Superior. Objetivo. Identificar la práctica de desarrollo moral de educadores de la ense anza superior, a partir de lo cual orientan su vida y la vida de sus alumnos, y lo que los profesores piensan y dicen que hacen para la formación moral de sus alumnos. Y, a partir de los resultados, hacer un análisis de las implicaciones para la educación de profesores. Materiales y métodos. En términos metodológicos se adoptó la discusión de dilemas morales propuestos por Kohlberg. Los profesores respondieron la una sucesión de preguntas sobre cada dilema, justificando su punto de vista, culminando con una entrevista para esclarecimiento de los contenidos de las respuestas. Resultados. Fueron identificados: 11 (un 64,70%) profesores en el Nivel Convencional: 5 (un 29,40%) en la práctica 3 De las Expectativas, Relaciones y Conformidades Interpersonales y 6 (un 35,30%) en la Práctica 4 - De la Preservación del Sistema Social y de la Conciencia; y 6 (un 35,30%) en el Nivel Post-convencional, todos en la práctica 5 - Del Contrato Social o de la Utilidad y Derechos Individuales. Discusión. Los resultados confirman las investigaciones de Kohlberg, que afirman que el común de la gente se inserta en el nivel convencional de desarrollo moral. Lo que lleva la reflexión de que si los educadores de la ense anza superior se encuentran en esa práctica de de-senvolvimento moral, como pueden formar profesores para la educación moral de ni os y jóvenes para prácticas más elevadas?. Conclusión. No puede haber concienciación ni transformación social y educativa si los miembros de una sociedad (o buena parte de sus líderes), principalmente sus educadores, que no alcanzaran el nivel post-convencional de desarrollo moral.

Abstract: Introducción. La investigación, que tiene como universo un grupo de profesores, realiza el abordaje del desarrollo psicossocial de Erikson, con un enfoque de análisis cuali-cuantitativo, a nivel personal y profesional. Involucra ocho escuelas particulares confesionales católicas de Educación Fundamental y Media de Grande Porto Alegre/RS - Brasil, en el a o 2001. Objetivo. Averiguar la internalización de los contenidos psicosociales y de las fuerzas sintónicas y distónicas de cada una de las prácticas, a partir de los significados que éstas tienen para cada uno de los profesores en su vida personal y la influencia que ejercen en su actuación educativa. Materiales y métodos. Para la recolección de la información fue utilizado un cuestionario de 18 preguntas para cada una de las ocho prácticas psicosociales, con opciones de respuesta: 1. (nunca), 2. (raras veces), 3. (con cierta frecuencia), 4. (muchas veces) y 5. (siempre), y fueron analizados con la ayuda del programa SPSS 10.0, que trabaja a partir de un archivo de datos tabulados. Resultados. La investigación permitió observar la validez de la teoría de las Prácticas Psicosociales de Erik Erikson en el desarrollo cultural y afectivo de los profesores y la influencia de las fuerzas sintónicas y distónicas en su acción educativa; ellas interaccionan de forma dinámica, en um equilibrio/desequilibrio sistemático dentro de la vida personal y profesional del educador. Las crisis psicosociales actúan en todos los momentos de la vida, independiente de la secuencialidad tanto en la dimensión personal, familiar como profesional. La dialéctica de las crisis psicosociales, tanto en las personas como en los organismos sociales, hace nacer el deseo de superarlas para mantener un equilibrio positivo entre ellas y la emergencia de las fuerzas que dan impulso al crecimiento y el desarrollo de las virtudes positivas de la vida. Conclusión. El desempe o positivo de este grupo de profesores comprueba la premisa de que en el desarrollo normal de la persona, la extensión de las fuerzas sintónicas es mayor que las debilidades y fuerzas distónicas. Es importante dar continuidad al esfuerzo y a la diligencia para la permanencia de los valores de la confianza, de la autonomía hasta la integridad, recogiendo, también, sus aplicaciones sociales y, principalmente, en el proceso de ense anza-aprendizaje.

Distribution of mustelids in Adamello-Brenta Park and surroundings areas (Central Italian Alps)

Abstract: The survey, conducted in 1991-93 on a study area of 1085 km2, has permitted to define the distribution maps according to 6.4x5.5 km grid of the following species: Meles meles, Mustela erminea, Mustela nivalis, Martes foina and Martes martes. Mustela putorius and Lutra lutra, recorded since 1960 and 1970 respectively, were not checked. From the analysis of 201 records (sightings, signs of presence, animals found dead and skins), we found that the badger, weasel and stone marten selected middle-low altitude (since 1000 m a.s.l.), the pine marten and stoat the middle-high altitude. The former species frequented mainly agricultural lands of bottom of the valley with built-up areas, the latter ones occurred mainly in forest habitat of secluded valleys (the pine marten), and in stony ground and alpine prairies (the stoat). The badger was the most diffuse species, the pine marten the least one. On a total of 46 grids of the study area, 32.6% presented three mustelid species, 17.4% five species. The badger and the stone marten were the species with the greatest overlapping range (61.7% of the grids), the weasel and the stoat with the smallest one (23.4% of the grids). Riassunto Distribuzione dei Mustelidi nel Parco Adamello-Brenta e aree limitrofe (Trentino, Alpi centrali) - L'indagine, condotta nel 1991-93, ha interessato un'area di 1085 km2 e ha permesso di definire le mappe di distribuzione, secondo una griglia di 6,4x5,5 km desunta dalla Carta Topografica generale (scala 1:10000) edita dalla Provincia Autonoma di Trento, di cinque specie: Meles meles, Mustela erminea, Mustela nivalis, Martes foina e Martes martes. La presenza di Mustela putorius e di Lutra lutra, accertata fino intorno agli anni '60 e '70 rispettivamente, non è stata invece confermata. Dall'analisi di 201 segnalazioni (osservazioni dirette, segni di presenza, animali trovati morti o imbalsamati) è stato rilevato che le fasce altitudinali medio-basse (fino a 1000 m) sono selezionate da tasso, donnola e faina che frequentano soprattutto ambienti coltivati di fondovalle con presenza di centri abitati, quelle medio-alte da martora e ermellino che utilizzano rispettivamente comprensori forestali delle vallate interne e ambienti con presenza di versanti detritici, praterie alpine e malghe. La specie più diffusa è risultata il tasso, quella meno diffusa la martora. Il 32,6% delle 46 griglie, in cui è stata suddivisa l'area di studio, mostra la presenza di 3 specie, il 17,4% di 5 specie. Use of trophic resources and forest habitats by the genus Martes in Adamello-Brenta Park (Central Italian Alps)

Abstract: Habitat use and diet of genus Martes (M. martes and M. foina) were studied in alpine forest habitat (Adamello-Brenta Park, Central Italian Alps) from July 1991 to September 1992. Marten scats were looked for along 3 transects representative of 5 forest habitats in order to analyse seasonal variations in habitat selection. The food habits were studied analysing 225 scats collected along the transects. Both percentage frequency of occurrence and relative percentage frequency (Fr%) of the different food items were calculated. Arthropods (Fr% = 50.0%), mainly insects (Coleoptera and Hymenoptera), were the staple in the diet of martens and were mostly consumed in spring and in summer. The other main food categories were vegetables (Fr% = 25.9%), mainly Rosaceae fruits, with a peak in autumn/winter, and mammals (Fr% = 10.5), especially small rodents, regularly preyed on throughout the year with a peak in winter. Carrion (marmots and ungulates) and partly insects (Orthoptera and Hymenoptera) were a fairly important food resource in the winter and at the beginning of the spring. All year round Martes selected coppice forest and mixed high forest, where presumably a major availability of the main food resources used by both species occurred. Riassunto Uso delle risorse trofiche e degli ambienti forestali da parte del genere Martes nel Parco Adamello-Brenta (Alpi Centrali) - L'uso dell'habitat e la dieta del genere Martes (M. martes e M. foina) sono stati studiati in ambienti forestali del Parco Adamello-Brenta nel periodo luglio 1991-settembre 1992. I1 numero di feci di Martes è stato rilevato in 3 transetti rappresentativi di 5 ambienti forestali, al fine di valutare le variazioni stagionali nell'uso dell'habitat. Le abitudini alimentari sono state investigate mediante analisi di 225 feci raccolte lungo i transetti di campionamento. I dati sulla dieta sono stati espressi come frequenza percentuale e frequenza relativa percentuale (Fr%) delle diverse componenti alimentari rilevate. Gli Artropodi (Fr% = 50,0%), rappresentati principalmente da insetti (Coleotteri e Imenotteri), erano la categoria alimentare dominante ed erano utilizzati soprattutto in primavera e estate. Le altre fonti alimentari più importanti erano i vegetali (Fr% = 25.9%), in particolare frutti di Rosaceae, maggiormente consumati in autunno/inverno, e i mammiferi (Fr% = 10,5%), soprattutto piccoli roditori, predati tutto l'anno e specialmente in inverno.
