Abstract: El objetivo fue conocer el origen de los conocimientos y prácticas sobre el uso terapéutico de plantas medicinales por los residentes de la comunidad en la región central de Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. Se trata de una investigación cualitativa con recolección de datos que se dio a través de entrevistas semi-estructuradas y observación participante. Los encuestados fueron seleccionados a través de la misma red de relaciones. Los datos fueron analizados a través del análisis temático. Se encontró que: aprender el uso y manipulación de las hierbas medicinales tiene su origen en el contexto familiar; se resaltó la influencia de la mujer en la transmisión de los conocimientos, las plantas se encuentran generalmente en el hogar, la mayoría de las plantas utilizadas son respaldadas por el conocimiento científico. Se cree que la investigación tiene relevancia para los enfermeros y la sociedad en su conjunto, que apunta a una conexión necesaria entre el conocimiento popular y científico, así como para inversiones en proyectos que trabajan con este tema.

Abstract: the objective of this study was to identify the origin of the knowledge and practices regarding the therapeutic use of medicinal plants, by individuals living in a community in the central region of rio grande do sul, brazil. this is a qualitative study, in which the data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews and participant observation. the participants were selected through their own relationship network. a thematic analysis of the data was performed. it was found that the participants learn how to use and manage medicinal plants in their family context; it is highlighted that women have a strong influence on the transmission of this particular knowledge; they usually obtain the plants at their own homes; and most plants that are used also have their indication supported by scientific evidence. it is believed that the present study is important for nurses and the society as a whole, as it points to the need for an approximation between popular and scientific knowledge, as well as the need to invest in projects that address this particular topic.

Abstract: the following research discussed playful activities in nursing care provided to hospitalized adults. the objectives were to describe the concepts of nurses on playful activities in hospital nursing care and discuss the configuration of playful activities in such care. it was a qualitative research developed in a university hospital in the state of rio grande do sul with ten nurses, approved by the committee for ethics in researching. a creative-sensitive method has been applied and the dynamics for creativity and sensitiveness in the data production. the perspective on playful activities opens the possibility for the nurses to go beyond the instituted and transform the quotidian of care by the good environment and mood at talking and acting, making the relationship close, funny, and pleasant. joy and relaxation are playful expressions that qualify the care and come up in the act of giving care; theyrepresent recovery to the patient's health since they facilitate the interaction, promoting the process of socialization and communication.

Abstract: the dominance of technics in assistance many times makes it impracticable to establish an expressive healthcare that promotes the humanization of the assistance practice. this study has tackled two researches that investigated the use of music as a therapeutic resource applied to healthcare and nursing teaching: musical visitations and the musical dynamics. the paper was based on the contributions of even ruud on the cultural context related to music and healthcare. the sensitive-creative methodology was used for the data production on both researches, carried out respectively with hospitalized clients and nurses. the music visitation has been constituted as a technology to the expressive healthcare, promoting comfort, lucidity, emotional expression and integration amongst clients and of those within the environment. the dynamic music has mobilized the production of subjectivities within the nurses, who discovered the possibilities of the creative use of music as a great resource in healthcare as well as in nursing teaching.

Abstract: this study had as purpose to describe hospitalized client's conceptions on musical visitations and to analyze the importance of these visitations in the hospital context. the theoretical basis used on this study was jean watson's humanistic theory of nursing care and the contributions of even ruud related music and cultural context. a qualitative approach was used, and sensitive-creative methodology was used for the data production through three dynamics called body-musical. the subjects were 14 clients admitted at a military hospital in rio de janeiro, brazil. data were analyzed by discourse analysis. the results indicate that musical visitations promote comfort, well-being, expression of emotions, autonomy and stimulate the creation of self resources for the hospitalizated clients. these also point the positive influence of visits to promote communication and the integration of participants at the hospital environment.
Influência dos encontros musicais no processo terapêutico de sistemas familiares na quimioterapia

Abstract: this paper investigated the implementation of music and narratives as a therapeutic care strategy for family systems participating in the musical encounters group during chemotherapy. we opted for converging-care research, carried out at a military hospital in rio de janeiro involving 27 subjects, including clients and family meeting in a total of eight musical encounters. the results, based on the assessment of musical encounters by the subjects themselves, showed that the influence of music in the therapeutic process provides distraction and relaxation, as well as promotes acceptance and group interaction. they also pointed to the influence of narratives in producing group knowledge and stimulating the expression of experiences about the illness and its impact on family relationships, thus developing a support network
INFLUêNCIA DOS ENCONTROS MUSICAIS NO PROCESSO TERAPêUTICO DE SISTEMAS FAMILIARES NA QUIMIOTERAPIA

Abstract: Este estudio se investigó la influencia de la música y las narrativas en el proceso terapéutico de los sistemas familiares que participan en los Encuentros musicales durante la quimioterapia. Es una investigación Convergente Asistencial, realizada en un hospital militar en Rio de Janeiro con 27 sujetos, incluidos los clientes y la familia, después de haber llevado a cabo un total de ocho Encuentros Musicales. Los resultados, basados en la evaluación de los Encuentros Musicales por los propios sujetos, mostraron la influencia de la música en el proceso terapéutico para proporcionar distracción y la relajación, la promoción de la aceptación y la interacción del grupo. También indicaron la influencia de las narrativas en la producción de conocimiento grupal y estímulo para la expresión de experiencias sobre la enfermedad y su impacto en las relaciones familiares, y el desarrollo de una red de apoyo
VISITA MUSICAL COMO UMA TECNOLOGIA LEVE DE CUIDADO

Abstract: Este estudio tuvo el objetivo de describir las concepciones de los pacientes hospitalizados acerca de las visitas musicales y analizar la importancia de esas visitas en el contexto hospitalario. La base teórica utilizada en este estudio fue la teoría humanística del cuidado de enfermería de Jean Watson y las contribuciones de Even Ruud acerca de la música y del contexto cultural. Los datos de la investigación fueron producidos por medio del método creativo-sensible a través de tres dinámicas denominadas cuerpo musical. Los sujetos fueron 14 pacientes internados en un hospital militar de la ciudad de Rio de Janeiro. Para el análisis de los datos fue utilizado el análisis del discurso. Los resultados indican que las visitas musicales producen confort, bienestar, expresión de las emociones, autonomía y estimulan la creación de recursos propios a los pacientes hospitalizados. Los sujetos también se alan el beneficio de las visitas para el ambiente hospitalario al promover la comunicación e integración de los participantes.
Musical visitation: therapeutic strategy based on theory of transpersonal caring

Abstract: Musical visitations are done with the intention of reducing the negative influences related to isolation, dependency and lack of activity present in the hospital environment. This study discussed the musical visitations from the optics of the hospitalized client and its implications as therapeutic strategy for nursing care. The aims: to describe hospitalized client’s conceptions on musical visitations; to analyze the importance of these visitations as a therapeutic strategy in the hospital care context; to discuss the implication of the visitations for fundamental nursing. The theoretical basis used on this study was Jean Watson’s theory of transpersonal caring. It is a study of qualitative nature and utilized Creative and Sensitive Method to produce data. The subjects discussed the positive influence of musical visitations on promote comfort, well-being and expression of emotions that promoted their integrity and autonomy. We could conclude that the musical visitation is a therapeutic strategy for the nursing care of the hospitalized client
