Abstract: In this paper, an analytical and numerical study of strain fields, stress fields and displacements in a rotating hollow cylinder, whose walls were completely made in Functionally Graded Materials (FGM), was conducted. We have considered the rotating hollow cylinder submitted to an asymmetric radial loading. It is assumed that, because of the functional graduation of the material, the mechanical properties such as Young elastic modulus and the density varies in the radial direction, in accordance with a the power law function. The inhomogeneity parameter was selected between -1 and 1. On the basis of the second law of Newton, Hooke’s law and the strain-stress relationship, we established the differential equation which governs the equilibrium for a rotating hollow cylinder. We found the analytical solution and compared to the numerical solution obtained by using the shooting method and the fourth order Runge-Kutta algorithm. The analytical and numerical results lead to the conclusion that the magnitude of the tangential stresses is greater than that of the radial stresses. The changes due to the graduation of FGM does not produce consistent variations in the distribution of radial stresses, but strongly affects the distribution of tangential stresses. The tangential stresses, tangential strains and displacements are much higher at the inner surface of the cylinder wall. The internal radial pressure intensely affects the radial stresses and the radial strain.

Abstract: The main purpose of this paper is to study the feasibility of using wood bottom ash to partially replace natural fine aggregate or crushed gneiss sand in the manufacturing of mortars. The experiment uses wood ash as fine aggregates, which passes through 5 mm sieve, in proportions of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% by weight to replace partially river sand and crushed gneiss, and the both sand of the same size as the aggregate respectively. Experimental results show that density of mortar and the compressive strength of mortar decrease globally with the increase in wood ash content. At 56 days, and for all replacements with wood ash, compressive strengths values of mortar obtained with the mixture of wood ash and river sand is greater than 20 MPa, which is not the case for mortar made with crushed gneiss and wood ash. Moreover, for 5% of replacement with wood ash, compressive strengths of mortar obtained with the mixture of wood ash and river sand and the mixture of wood ash and crushed gneiss are respectively 37 MPa and 32 MPa at 56 days. These values satisfied the strength requirements. Hence, 5% replacement of crushed gneiss with wood ash is suggested and could be benefit for mortar. In addition, the replacement of sand by wood ash is preferable with river sand which contains fewer fines than crushed gneiss. The compressive strength of mortar with 25% wood ash + river sand could be suitable.

Wireless Engineering and Technology (WET) , 2019, DOI: 10.4236/wet.2019.102002
Abstract: In this paper, we describe 2 kinds of printed dipole arrays and compare the performances of these arrays in term of reflexion coefficient, radiation pattern and dimensions. It is interesting to design array in order to obtain better performances in term of omnidirectional radiation pattern in comparison with single element. We choose this elementary source in order to obtain compact array with good performances. These antenna arrays are designed to have omnidirectional radiation pattern with horizontal polarization. We present an application dedicated to compact base station in the last section.

PLOS ONE , 2012, DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0009843
Abstract: The effects of low-frequency conditioning stimulation (LFS, 900 pulses at 1 Hz) of glutamatergic afferents in CA1 hippocampal area using slices from two different strains of adult (3–5 month-old) and aged (23–27 month-old) rats were reinvestigated regarding the discrepancies in the literature concerning the expression of long-term depression (LTD) in the aging brain.
Les chiens s?approchent, et s?éloignent
Gleize, Jean-Marie;
Alea : Estudos Neolatinos , 2007, DOI: 10.1590/S1517-106X2007000200002
Abstract: the paper proposes a rereading of the tension between poetry and prose in baudelaire, taking as its starting point the opposition between "cats" and "dogs", recurring characters in the poet?s work. with/ against baudelaire, the author argues for an affirmation of prose - "prose in prose(s)" - and the rejection, in contemporary poetry, of any instances of the "modern sublime".
Desarrollo del derecho internacional humanitario y la continua pertinencia de la costumbre
Henckaerts, Jean-Marie;
Anuario mexicano de derecho internacional , 2010,
Abstract: treaties have been widely regarded as the main source of international law, nevertheless, historically; custom has often had certain precedence over conventions. this article presents an analysis about the importance of customary international law in the matter of humanitarian law. mostly based on the study performed by the international committee of the red cross, this work achieves a deep exploration through customary humanitarian international law and its roll in fulfilling the vacuums and avoiding the obstacles of conventional humanitarian law effectiveness.

Cadernos de Pesquisa , 2010, DOI: 10.1590/S0100-15742010000200004
Abstract: sustained by findings in the professional world and, in particular, in the world of education and training the author proposes the concept of action culture as a shared way of organizing the construction of the meaning of activities. this transversal concept of the different forms of action seeks to unite individual and collective aspects, what remains and what changes and the mental and conative aspects in the approach to involvement with action. the concept is inscribed within the broader frame of the creation of tools that are capable of describing the simultaneous construction of the actions of individuals and groups.
Significa??o religiosa do sofrimento e posi??o psicológica na fé

Abstract: the psychological bond between the existencial experience of suffering and the position of the subject in relation to religious faith are studied. the investigation comprised 80 nurses, from both sexes, with various degrees of adherence to christianism. the hypothesis was that these persons are impelled to structure for themselves a more or less stable, conscious or reflected attitude towards suffering. a questionnaire was elaborated including a question concerning suffering (dimensions, psychological aprehension, meaning), a question about the religious position (central or peripheric, certain or hesitant) and a question concerning the atribution of religious conotations to suffering. results do not allow one to enunciate a homogeneous theory on the relation between religion and suffering, but the existence of singular configurations more or less stable and evolving, according to the religious attitude basic orientation, the merely human context of suffering and the religious contextualization of suffering.
Legami curati – Legami curanti "Cliniche della Concertazione" e violenze di quartiere / Liens soignés, liens soignant. Cliniques de Concertation et violences de quartiers

Rivista di Criminologia, Vittimologia e Sicurezza , 2007,
Abstract: Mahdi is twenty-six years old, he is tall and athletic. He is blind, because he was attacked. This kind of situation puts at work a complex network of professionals of help, care, education and control, beyond everything they can expect. The methodology of the Clinic of Concertation , as a Laboratory of applied communicational ethics , recognises that Mahdi and the members of his family are directly part of this network. If the professionals do not resist to this collective construction, they will see laying out different relational systems in balance from which they can exploit the resources in the process of reconstructive links. More than a narrative device, the "Clinic of Concertation" is a creative therapeutic device governed by random rules beyond an absolute mastery. It is, in a collective discussion that does not exclude any member of the collective, but on the contrary, that promotes every extensive step, about differentiating without dissociating, with all interested persons, what will belong to the private sphere and what will belong to the public sphere, while recognizing the legitimacy of the compensatory dynamics of revenge and the protective dynamics of future generations, by identifying their joints, their compatibilities and their incompatibilities, by developing preferentially those reconstructive and preventive.
Romanian Review of Regional Studies , 2010,
Abstract: Reform of Collectivities and Regionalisation in France: A Horizon of Variable Geometry. Initially considered as a highly profitable solution that best fits the spatial organization of France, the resulted administrative cutting gave rise to the multiplication of some supra-communal and intra-departmental structures, contrary to the purpose they had been created for: socio-economic efficiency, territorial cohesion, as well as to institutionalisation. What territorial organization in France is lacking at present is exactly the absence of the interrelations between different territorial levels, the legislative levers being those that can manage these intra- and extra-regional relations. The consequences of decentralization, interpreted by the existence of a multitude of territorial entities between department/county and communes, non-hierarchized, without assuming any responsibility, can and must be corrected by legislative regulations, the reform of territorial collectivities - a regional reform at the same time, left in the hands of Balladur committee, being one of them. The main directions of territorial organization require a focus on merging, namely on suppressing the territorial-administrative units (e.g. canton), the decrease in the number of regional councillors, the promotion of intercommunal associations, the suppression of regional assemblies, the equivalence of the number of regions with the number of regional metropolises, the strengthening of interterritorial relations, directions found only partially in the Balladur report.
