International Journal of Geosciences (IJG) , 2017, DOI: 10.4236/ijg.2017.84020
Abstract: The main purpose of this research is to estimate the structural analysis and hydrocarbon potential of Miano Block by using seismic and well log techniques. Miano area hosts a number of gas fields with structural and stratigraphic traps. The area is located in Central Indus Basin which is a part of an extensional regime exhibiting normal faulting due to the split of the Indian Plate firstly from Africa and then from Madagascar and Seychelles. Miano area recognized as a proven petroleum province which has complex tectonic history of Cretaceous extensional and overprints of Tertiary strike-slip tectonics. The area has prospect with accumulation of hydrocarbons in structural and stratigraphic traps including pinchouts. NW-SE oriented Khairpur and Mari Highs are main structural features with impact on the fault system. The sands of Lower Goru of Lower Cretaceous age are acting as a reservoir in the area. The area has great potential of hydrocarbons for which more exploratory wells are required to be drilled with better insight of structural and stratigraphic traps.

Australian Journal of Business and Management Research , 2011,
Abstract: Exchange rate is an important element of the country’s economic health. It is one of the most scrutinized, anatomized and manipulated economic dimension. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of exchange rate of China on the US trade, employment and on its currency as well. The approach to this paper is to answer the questions such as the mechanism selected by China for its exchange rate determination? What are the interests of China in adopting the fixed exchange rate strategy? How this step of China is affecting the U.S.? What steps are taken by USto abandon China’ policy? This paper concludes that US economy is badly affected; China snatches the jobs of US, exports of China rushes towards US economy while imports from US towards China did not come with that pace. This happens because of exchange rate and trade mechanism adopted by China. Moreover this policy of China is beneficial for its economy but not for the well being of the Chinese people. This paper is beneficial for the researchers, students, policy makers, politicians and economists related to international finance area.

Journal of Biological Sciences , 2001,
Abstract: The present studies were carried out on four walnut cultivars viz Hartley, Payne, Sorrento and Odom at the Hill Fruit Research Sub-Station, Lower Topa, Murree during 1999-2000. Vigorous plants were noted of Odom cultivar. Similarly Odom nuts were significantly larger in size having 36.70 mm length and 35.65 mm diameter as compared to the minimum size (29.50 mm length x 27.54 mm diameter) in cv. Sorrento. Weight of the fruit kernel and kernel percentage was maximum in Odom and minimum in Payne. Nuts of Odom cv. Mature in the first week of October while all other cultivars in second week of October Significantly highest number of fruits/tree (205) and weight (2.07 Kg) was attained in Odom and least in other cultivars. Conclusively Odom cultivar of walnut is recommended fro early maturity, large and heavy fruit and the maximum yield.
THE TALE OF FREEZING FOREIGN CURRENCY ACCOUNTS IN PAKISTAN
Muhammad Akram,Muhammad Ramzan,Saira Hameed,Sundus Naveed
Business and Management Review , 2011,
Abstract: Foreign exchange reserves help in maintaining the balance of payments, hence assured the financial stability ofa country. The intention of the study is to observe the reasons and impacts of freezing foreign currency accounts (FCAs) in Pakistan economy in May 1998 after nuclear explosions. The approach to this paper is to answer the questions such as’’ why was it essential for Pakistan to conduct nuclear explosion”? ‘’ Which countries had imposed sanctions against Pakistan and what was it impacts?’’. ‘’What are the reasons relatedfreezing the foreign currency accounts and the impacts of freezing the foreign currency accounts on Pakistan economy?’’. ‘’How did the Government handles the situation?” This paper concludes that Pakistani government could not handle the affair in an appropriate manner which leads to the brutal economic nuisanceboth internally and externally. The stock market was crashed because the investors lost their confidence. This study is beneficial to the academicians, depositors, bankers, politicians and policy makers for the development of the economy.

Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Ethiopia , 2010,
Abstract: The purpose of the study was to prepare a stable multiple emulsion containing a skin anti-aging agent and using paraffin oil. Vitamin C, was incorporated into the inner aqueous phase of water-in-oil-in-water (w/o/w) multiple emulsion at a concentration of 1%. Multiple emulsion was prepared by two step method. Stability studies were performed at different accelerated conditions, i.e. 8 oC (in refrigerator), 25 oC (in oven), 40 oC (in oven), and 40 oC at 75% RH (in stability cabin) for 28 days to predict the stability of formulations. Different parameters, namely pH, globule size, electrical conductivity and effect of centrifugation (simulating gravity) were determined during stability studies. Data obtained was evaluated statistically using ANOVA two way analyses and LSD tests. Multiple emulsion formulated was found to be stable at lower temperatures (i.e. 8 and 25 oC) for 28 days. No phase separation was observed in the samples during stability testing. It was found that there was no significant change (p > 0.05) in globule sizes in most of the samples kept at various conditions. Insignificant changes (p > 0.05) in both pH and conductivity values were determined for the samples kept at 8, 40, and 40 oC at 75% RH, throughout the study period. Further studies are needed to formulate more stable emulsions with other emulsifying agents.

Int'l J. of Communications, Network and System Sciences (IJCNS) , 2010, DOI: 10.4236/ijcns.2010.35060
Abstract: Motion estimation is the most important module in H.264 video encoding algorithm since it offer the best compression ratio compared to intra prediction and entropy encoding. However, using the allowed features for inter prediction such as variable block size matching, multi-reference frames and fractional pel search needs a lot of computation cycles. For this purpose, we propose in this paper an Application Specific Instruction-set Processor (ASIP) solution for implementing inter prediction. An exhaustive full and fractional pel combined with variable block size matching search are used. The solution, implemented in FPGA, offers both performance and flexibility to the user to reconfigure the search algorithm.
