Abstract: After the analysis of the main health problems with communitarian leaders from Jardim Modelo - Campo Mour o, a group ofNursing academics from Integrado College considered to implant a Domiciliary Orchard project as part of curricular activities ofCommunitarian Project disciplines. During this discipline, students carried out partnership with Agronomy academics. Diabeticand hypertensive families interested to participate in the project were registered. Afterward, oriented by a nutritionist, visits tofamilies were carried out to inform about alimentary habits and the manner of manipulating food. After the end of discipline theproject was changedded in an extension. This research aimed to evaluate, in short-term, the phase of families’ cadastre andorientation. Domiciliary visits were carried out, in which, questionnaires about the importance of hyposodic diet and correctmanipulation of foods were applied. Interviews with people whom did not accept to participate in the project were carried out, inorder to identify the main reasons about the not acceptance. Results demonstrate that orientations given by academics havebeen of great value for the improvement of life quality of inhabitants, therefore changes in alimentary habits were observed,which reveal the importance of the implantation of prevention actions.
No olho do furac?o: conjugalidades homossexuais e o direito à visita íntima na Penitenciária Feminina da Capital
Padovani, Natália Corazza;
Cadernos Pagu , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S0104-83332011000200007
Abstract: in this article i analyze the conjugal visits rights inside the female prison of s?o paulo capital, brazil. these visits are characterized in the brazilian penal execution legislation as the main way of maintaining family relationships and marriage for persons deprived of liberty. my aim is to comprehend which relations have been considered familiar and conjugal by the administrative staff of the female prison unit. this question became even more complex after may 5, 2011 when the supreme court ruled the legal equalization of heterosexual and homosexual civil unions. i argued that this event reiterates a logic that undertakes violence to sexual relations which are not considered conjugal or love relations. on the other hand, the supreme court decision responds to a desire of adequacy of people who maintained homosexual love relationships that, until may 5, were not recognized by the state. the dispute for conjugal visit rights is in the center of this dilemma which is related to the recognition demands; however, this struggle does not challenge the historical violence perpetrated to (homo)sexuals in female prisons.
Ra?a e comportamento político: participa??o, ativismo e recursos em Belo Horizonte
Bueno, Natália S.;
Lua Nova: Revista de Cultura e Política , 2012, DOI: 10.1590/S0102-64452012000100006
Abstract: social scientists approach the role of race in brazilian politics from diverse perspectives: its role in the making of the nation-state, social movements, or race-targeted public policies. this paper takes on race as a central issue and looks into race's effect on individual political behavior. using the resource-based approach as a framework, races does not seem to affect an individual's chance of participating politically in belo horizonte, whereas the possession of resources such as income and education substantially increases an individual's likelihood of participation. despite these findings, it is argued that the resource-based approach has a limited capacity to test all factors that lead to political behavior influenced by racial identity.

The Prince and the Hobby-Horse: Shakespeare and the Ambivalence of Early Modern Popular Culture
Natália Pikli
Journal of Early Modern Studies , 2013,
Abstract: The Shakespearean hobby-horse, mentioned emphatically in Hamlet, brings into focus a number of problems related to early modern popular culture. In the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries the word was characterised by semantic ambivalence, with simultaneously valid meanings of a breed of horse, a morris character, a foolish person, and a wanton woman. The overlapping of these meanings in different cultural discourses of the age (playtexts, emblem books, popular verse, pictures) exemplifies the interaction of different productions of early modern popular culture, from social humiliating practices to festivals and public playhouses. This attests to a complex circulation of cultural memory regarding symbols of popular culture, paradoxically both ‘forgotten’ and ‘remembered’ as a basically oral-ritual culture was transformed into written forms. In this context, the Hamletian passage gains new overtones, while the different versions of the playtext (Q1 & 2: 1603, 1604, F: 1623) also offer insights into the changing attitudes regarding popular culture, as it became gradually commercialised and politicised in the following decades. Finally, Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale and Jonson’s Bartholomew Fair solidify a critical and sceptical attitude, which seems to have signalled the end of ‘Merry Old England’ on-stage and off-stage as well.

Natália Bránska
Acta Montanistica Slovaca , 2006,
Abstract: The principles of the free market are permeating very slowly to the Slovak economy. Especially the big enterprises which were for many years at the monopoly position should change their behavior at the market and accept the new marketing management trends. The article focuses on the energy industry, specifically the heat energy. In general, it describes the actual situation in the energy industry, allocates the problems and gives the proposals of the possible solutions. The article describes a posibility of applying the marketing management to help solve such problems as the liberalization and competitiveness on the energy market, the reduction of the energy consuption and others. The second part of the article gives a general view to the industrial marketing, especially the principles of the marketing management.

Abstract: The introduction of moving image in research has given rise to great challenges and modifications at the level of direct and delayed observation, description and language, interpretation and analysis, comparison and communication. Animated image provides a valuable contribution to the development of knowledge, both at the level of research and within the scope of intervention and training. Ethnopsychological films make it possible to study total facts, promoting the analysis of the various dimensions of communication, the study of the relationship between representation and practice, and providing multiple meanings and perspectives of study, in particular analysis, description and inter/transcultural comparison. The text emphasises the importance and advantages of filmic methodology, the use of animated image and audiovisual technology within the scope of social sciences and humanities and in intercultural studies, particularly in the field of childhood, where examples of application are presented.
Antioxidant Potential of Extracts from Processing Residues from Brazilian Food Industries  [PDF]
Natália Mezzomo, Daniela A. Oliveira, Sandra R. S. Ferreira
Food and Nutrition Sciences (FNS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/fns.2013.48A026

The objective of this work was to estimate the antioxidant potential of the extracts from pink shrimp residue and red grape pomaces (Merlot and Syrah varietals), evaluated according to its antioxidant activity with different analytical methods, associating these properties with the chemical composition of the extract and, as a consequence, with the extraction procedure. The shrimp residue was pre-treated combining cooking, drying, and milling, whereas the grape pomaces were dried and ground. The shrimp residue extracts were obtained by Soxhlet (SOX) and by maceration using hexane (Hx), hexane: isopropanol (50:50) (Hx:IPA), isopropanol, ethanol (EtOH) and acetone as solvents; by ultrasonic maceration (UME) with EtOH; by cold and hot oil extraction with soy and sunflower oils; and by Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) with pure CO2 (100 - 300 bar; 313.15 - 333.15 K) and with co-solvent (Hx: IPA and sunflower oil at 2%). The grape pomaces extracts were obtained by SOX using EtOH, ethyl acetate (EtOAc) and Hx; UME with water (H2O), EtOH, EtOAc and Hx; and by SFE performed with pure CO2 (150 - 300 bar; 323.15 - 333.15 K) and with cosolvent (EtOH at 15%). The antioxidant activity was determined by the DPPH free radical scavenging procedure and by the β-carotene bleaching method. Higher antioxidant activities in shrimp residue extracts were observed by the β-carotene bleaching method in alcoholic and cetonic extracts, among the low pressure extraction methods, while for the SFE, the higher activities were achieved by the extracts obtained at elevated pressures. For the grape pomaces extracts, the best results were obtained by the DPPH method from the low pressure extractions proceeded with EtOH. The SFE with Merlot pomace at 323.15 K/150 bar (the lowest temperature and pressures tested) presented the best antioxidant activity by the β-carotene bleaching.
