Revista de Enfermagem UFPE On Line , 2010,
Abstract: Objective: to analyze the consequences of the intestine ostomy for patients and families. Methodology: this article presents a bibliography search, with it analyzes of 15 scientific articles, was raised by Lilacs and Scielo, published in the period from 2000 to 2008, using descriptors: ostomy, nursing care and family relations. Results: the material was related to two themes, the return to life with the use of scholarship and collecting activities of professional nursing. The stoma person seems that in addition to overcoming the disease and stoma is another challenge, the return to their daily lives. At the beginning seems to be a difficult phase for both stoma and for your family and friends. Conclusion: showed up feelings of mutilation due to change of body image, and support of the friends and family as essential elements. But for that the family can help in rehabilitation, it also needs care. The reception through education and guidance to professionals trained and able to give emotional and technical support for the stoma can help. The stoma cares require very sensitive actions, which move with the bearer’s self-esteem, change your routine as well as their relations.

Revista Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica , 2011, DOI: 10.1590/S1983-51752011000200022
Abstract: introduction: this article is the result of two decades of surgical experience in the pubic region for patients of both genders with the external genitalia dimorphic aspects. the literature presents limited contributions regarding the morphologic alterations of these regions, responsible for the patients be submitted to these surgeries to return to their normal anatomic aspects, to the emotional equilibrium and to the self-esteem. methods: patients of both genders, in a total of 513, with different types of pathologies of the external genitalia and the pubic regions were submitted to specific surgeries, where 469 (91.42%) were female and 44 (8.58%) were male. the age range was from 17 to 70 year old. in the female patients were included: dystrophies of the pubis, labia majora and minora, skin excess of the clitoris, and the treatment of other types of unacceptable results after previous surgical procedures. the male deformities included in this study were: penis hypotrophy, skin penis synechia, local angioma and the absence of congenital testicular glands. congenital or acquired deformities out of the described were not included. results: from 1989 to 2010, the procedures used in the genitalia and in the pubis dimorphisms brought psychological and physic benefic to the patients combined with low complication rate (2.31%). conclusions: despite of the limited scientific publications in the journals of the specialty and in the scientific meetings, the importance of these messages has no limits to their holders. one of reasons of this publication is based in acquired experience and the necessary diffusion for those that perform these surgeries but still with negative results when not performed within the necessary level.

Short-time critical dynamics of the Baxter-Wu model
Everaldo Arashiro,J. R. Drugowich de Felicio
Physics , 2002, DOI: 10.1103/PhysRevE.67.046123
Abstract: We study the early time behavior of the Baxter-Wu model, an Ising model with three-spin interactions on a triangular lattice. Our estimates for the dynamic exponent $z$ are compatible with results recently obtained for two models which belong to the same universality class of the Baxter-Wu model: the two-dimensional four-state Potts model and the Ising model with three-spin interactions in one direction. However, our estimates for the dynamic exponent $\theta $ of the Baxter-Wu model are completely different from the values obtained for those models. This discrepancy could be related to the absence of a marginal operator in the Baxter-Wu model.
Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) Design Dissection for Cellular Communication Application  [PDF]
Nariman Firoozy, Mahmoud Shirazi
Journal of Electromagnetic Analysis and Applications (JEMAA) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/jemaa.2011.310064
Abstract: An in-depth approach towards the design of PIFA has been taken. After discussing the essential parameters involved in the design procedure and introduction of a design algorithm, a miniaturized dual-band PIFA is introduced. Different specifications of the proposed antenna are measured both through computer simulation and fabricated PIFA. Also, the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is introduced and measured for this antenna.

Anais da Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz , 1966, DOI: 10.1590/S0071-12761966000100025
Abstract: this paper deals with the transpiration of spathodea nilotica seem (bignoniaceae), a small tree native in tropical africa and cultivated in the state of s?o paulo, brazil, for arborization of streets and ornamental. transpiration was determined by the so called "cut leaf" method and observations were made on the daily march of total and cuticular transpiration, on the saturation deficits of the leaves used in the determination of the transpiration and on the hydroactive movements of the stomata. comparation of the daily march of total transpiration curves to the saturation deficits ones of the same leaflets, showed that the two restrictions of total transpiration which the plant presented during the day were caused by lack of water supply in the leaflets. cuticular transpiration was measured by covering the stomatal (abaxial) face of the leaflets with a layer of vaseline and weighing the cut leaflets in the torsion balance. the daily march of cuticular transpiration compared to the one of total transpiration showed the same results, that is, the restrictions of transpiration during the day were due chiefly to the lack of water supply in the leaflets.

Revista de Administra??o de Empresas , 2002, DOI: 10.1590/S0034-75902002000200005
Abstract: this article aims to enhance the understanding of the psychology of consumer behavior during services experiences. it works with an environmental psychology framework because of its ability to explore interactions between customers and servicescapes. by using examples from the environmental lighting stimuli, it provides some insights into the management of service physical facilities by integrating service phenomenon and human existence. it elaborates further on the themed environments and presents a strong argument concerning the fulfillment of consumer perceptual experiences in the “moments of truth”. within this context, a coherent conceptual framework is ferreted and shows some long forgotten aspects that reveal new opportunities for using lighting resources and drama theory in service production.

Nonuniversality in short-time critical dynamics
C. S. Simoes,J. R. Drugowich de Felicio
Physics , 1998, DOI: 10.1088/0305-4470/31/35/007
Abstract: We study behaviour of dynamical critical exponents of the two-dimensional Ising model with a line of defects. Simulations done at an early time (first 100 Monte Carlo steps) reveal that the critical exponent of Janssen et al (Z. Phys. B 73 539) depends on the strength of the exchange coupling constant (J') of the altered line. On the other hand, our simulations permit us to conclude that the dynamical critical exponent z is not sensitive to changes in J'. In adition, we investigate the possible invariance of the anomalous dimension of the magnetization at the beginning of the process.
