Abstract:
Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate the success of Moth-er-to-Child Transmission Prevention (PMTCT) is reducing the morbidity and mortality of newborns related to HIV/AIDS. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive correlational study whose data collection is done in a transversal way from 01 to 30 June 2017 among HIV-positive women screened and we antiretroviral treatment in the health area targeted by this study. To collect this data, we used the semi-structured technical interview face-to-face using a questionnaire. Results: The results of the bivariate analysis revealed the HIV positive outcome in newborns of HIV-positive mothers is significantly related to the following factors (i.e,. p < 0.05): the parity of more than 5 children; lack of knowledge of some HIV infection pathways; lack of knowledge of some factors that promote the transmission of HIV from mother to child, such as: several infections in the mother; mixed feeding; lack of treatment of the mother; multiple pregnancies; non-monitoring of PMTCT activities; childbirth at home; mixed feeding and non-monitoring of PMTCT services with all pregnancies after-positive HIV diagnosis; lack of knowledge of the center offering the PMTCT service in service within its radius; poor monitoring of antiretroviral therapy and the effect of not HAVING applied to family planning method. Conclusion: The WHO advises inside this box to promote education, information and communication services for health that are ignored by the population using the available communication channels in the respective areas; apply mass communication to inform pregnant women about the existence of PMTCT services in health centers or hospitals.

Reasons, Consequences and Solutions to Anti-Business Logic Behavior of State-Owned Enterprises Controllers  [PDF]
Nana Zhang
American Journal of Industrial and Business Management (AJIBM) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/ajibm.2018.88119
Abstract: Focusing on the anti-business logic behavior of state-owned enterprises controllers, this paper finds that the behavior is characterized by lack of cost constraints, control of commodity prices to make it lower than market equilibrium price, stressing on scale while neglecting efficiency, etc., which causes consequences of overcapacity in some state-owned enterprises, zombie enterprises, the loss of state-owned assets, financial burdens for the state, and unequal market status for private enterprises. Finally, the paper puts forward effective solutions.
Probabilistic Fuzzy Regression Approach from the Point of View Risk  [PDF]
Nana Gao, Qiujun Lu
Journal of Data Analysis and Information Processing (JDAIP) , 2018, DOI: 10.4236/jdaip.2018.64010
Abstract: Fuzzy regression analysis is an important regression analysis method to predict uncertain information in the real world. In this paper, the input data are crisp with randomness; the output data are trapezoid fuzzy number, and three different risk preferences and chaos optimization algorithm are introduced to establish fuzzy regression model. On the basis of the principle of the minimum total spread between the observed and the estimated values, risk-neutral, risk-averse, and risk-seeking fuzzy regression model are developed to obtain the parameters of fuzzy linear regression model. Chaos optimization algorithm is used to determine the digital characteristic of random variables. The mean absolute percentage error and variance of errors are adopted to compare the modeling results. A stock rating case is used to evaluate the fuzzy regression models. The comparisons with five existing methods show that our proposed method has satisfactory performance.
Effects of Teachers Level of Education and Experience on Teacher-Child Interactions in Early Childhood Institutions  [PDF]

Psychology (PSYCH) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/psych.2013.411131
Abstract:

Early childhood care and development (ECCD) in Ghana have received attention in the lat decade. To ensure quality of instruction and build capacity of early childhood teachers and caregivers, the National Nursery Teachers’ Training Centre was set up by the government to offer specialized training in nursery education for teachers and nursery attendants. Universities and the Colleges of Education have been mandated to train teachers for early childhood education. This study therefore sought to find out the effects of level of education and years of experience of teachers on their interactions with children (3 - 5) in early-childhood institutions in Ghana using the Caregiver Child Interaction Scale (r = 0.77). The sample (N = 103; Female 99%): made up of teachers from thirty-one preschools in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana were observed during their normal classroom routine. There appeared not to be any statistically significant difference between the teachers’ level of education and years of experience on the interaction scores.

Generalization of the Global Error Minimization for Constructing Analytical Solutions to Nonlinear Evolution Equations  [PDF]
Serge Bruno Yamgoué, Bonaventure Nana
Journal of Applied Mathematics and Physics (JAMP) , 2015, DOI: 10.4236/jamp.2015.39142
Abstract: The global error minimization is a variational method for obtaining approximate analytical solutions to nonlinear oscillator equations which works as follows. Given an ordinary differential equation, a trial solution containing unknowns is selected. The method then converts the problem to an equivalent minimization problem by averaging the squared residual of the differential equation for the selected trial solution. Clearly, the method fails if the integral which defines the average is undefined or infinite for the selected trial. This is precisely the case for such non-periodic solutions as heteroclinic (front or kink) and some homoclinic (dark-solitons) solutions. Based on the fact that these types of solutions have vanishing velocity at infinity, we propose to remedy to this shortcoming of the method by averaging the product of the residual and the derivative of the trial solution. In this way, the method can apply for the approximation of all relevant type of solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. The approach is simple, straightforward and accurate as its original formulation. Its effectiveness is demonstrated using a Helmholtz-Duffing oscillator.

Abstract: In this paper, we consider estimates with loss for the Bergman projections of bounded symmetric domains of ℂn in their Harish-Chandra realizations. This paper is twofold: on one side we develop transfer methods between these bounded domains and their Cayley transform; on the other side we give a new range of q such that the Bergman projection is bounded from L∞(ℬn) to Lq(ℬn) where ℬn is the Lie ball of ℂn.

Journal of Biomedical Science and Engineering (JBiSE) , 2008, DOI: 10.4236/jbise.2008.11009
Abstract: Apoptosis proteins have a central role in the development and homeostasis of an organism. These proteins are very important for the understanding the mechanism of programmed cell death, and their function is related to their types. The apoptosis proteins are categorized into the following four types: (1) Cytoplasmic protein; (2) Plasma membrane-bound protein; (3) Mitochondrial inner and outer proteins; (4) Other proteins. A novel method, the Hilbert-Huang transform, is applied for predicting the type of a given apoptosis protein with support vector machine. High success rates were obtained by the re-substitute test (98/98=100%), jackknife test (91/98 = 92.9%).

World Journal of Mechanics (WJM) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/wjm.2012.23017
Abstract: This paper examines modelling of the dynamics of a plate by plate type dynamics vibration absorber subjected to a localized periodic impulsive excitation. An analytical solution of the modal equation is proposed and validated using direct numerical simulation of the basic equations. The basics equations are solve numerically using fourth order Runge Kutta algorithm. Various types of dynamic absorbing plate are tested to optimize the control efficiency. Particular attentions have been paid on the effects of localization of external forces on the dynamics response of the system under control. Ours findings demonstrate that a good achievement of control strategy should follow the above mentioned analysis.
