NaY Zeolite: A Useful Catalyst for Nitrile Hydrolysis

Abstract: The NaY zeolite catalysed hydrolysis of nitriles to primary amides is reported. It is found that aryl nitriles with strong electron-withdrawing substituents and cyanopyridines are readily hydrolysed in the water suspension, while aliphatic nitriles do not react.

Abstract: n,n'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediiminocobalt (cosalen) was encapsulated into the supercage of microporous nay zeolite via "ship-in-a-bottle" technique. the impregnated cosalen complex immobilized on the outer surface of the zeolite was also prepared in order to further prove the encapsulation by the flexible ligand method. the samples were characterized by ft-ir, uv-vis, xrd, tg/dta and sem techniques. the oxidation of cyclohexane using oxygen was chosen to evaluate the catalytic performance of encapsulated complex. the encapsulated cosalen was stable than the neat cosalen complex and the conversion of cyclohexane reached 24.4% at 130 oc for 3 h in the ch3cn solution without adding any inducing agents. the higher selectivity for acid including adipic acid indicated that the encapsulated cosalen exhibited the ability to produce acid from cyclohexane by one-step reaction.

EFFICIENCY EVALUATION OF NaY ZEOLITE AND TiO2/NaY ZEOLITE IN REMOVAL OF METHYLENE BLUE DYE FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS

Abstract: In this study titanium dioxide cluster was incorporated onto NaY zeolite and characterized with X-Ray diffractometer and X-ray spectroscopy. These composites have many advantages such as high stability and high porosity. The adsorption behavior of methylene blue was investigated for NaY zeolite and TiO2/NaY zeolite. The efficiency of time, pH, temperature and initial concentration of methylene blue (MB) on removal effect of methylene blue was investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy. And, the optimum conditions were determined 8h time, basic pH and high initial concentrations of methylene blue and absorbent. With increasing of temperature, the removal efficiency of NaY zeolite and TiO2/NaY increased. Results showed that 92% and 85% of methylene blue was absorbed by synthesized NaY zeolite and TiO2/zeolite, respectively. Adsorption isotherm as studied by fitting data to Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms models, showed monolayer adsorption and Langmuir equilibrium model to be more relevant.

Abstract: 采用等体积浸渍法制备了一系列CeO2/NaY催化剂,重点考察了焙烧温度和铈负载量对催化剂活性组分结构及性能的影响。通过拉曼(Raman)光谱、X射线衍射(XRD)、低温N2吸附-脱附(BET)、高分辨透射电子显微镜(HR-TEM)以及氢气程序升温还原(H2-TPR)等技术对催化剂的结构、形貌和化学性能进行了表征分析。结果表明,焙烧温度与铈负载量对于铈物种在分子筛载体表面及孔道内的分散形态和与载体的相互作用有着重要影响,进而影响催化剂中铈物种的氧合性能与氧化脱硫性能。在常温常压下的氧合性能测试,催化剂最大储氧量为每克催化剂1.44 mmol O2。在反应温度100 ℃,催化剂用量0.20 g,以正辛烷为溶剂二苯并噻吩初始浓度为500 μg·g-1的模拟油样20 mL,氧气流量为50 mL·min-1的条件下,反应240 min二苯并噻吩转化率可达90.10%,二苯并噻吩被氧化为二苯并噻吩砜。因此,发展稀土改性分子筛催化剂,应用于以分子氧为氧化剂的油品氧化深度脱硫,对探究绿色高效的油品氧化脱硫技术具有积极意义。
CeO2/NaY catalysts were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation. The influence of the calcination temperature and Ce content on the crystallinity and performance of the active species of the catalysts was studied in this paper. The synthesized catalysts were characterized by Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), low temperature nitrogen adsorption-desorption (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET)), highresolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and H2-temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR). The results indicate that the calcination temperature and the Ce content have an important influence on the morphology of the cerium species and whether they can be uniformly dispersed on the surface and channels of the zeolite, and on the interaction between the cerium species and zeolites, which affects the oxygenation and oxidation desulfurization properties of the cerium species of the catalysts. The oxygenation properties of the prepared catalysts are tested under normal temperature and atmospheric pressure. The maximum oxygen storage capacity is 1.44 mmol·g-1. The conversion rate of dibenzothiophene (DBT) reaches up to 90.10% within 240 min when a 20 mL mixture of octane and DBT as a model oil is treated by the addition of 0.20 g catalyst under 50 mL·min-1 of oxygen flow at 100 ℃. The initial concentration of DBT is 500 μg·g-1. The oxidation product is dibenzothiophene sulfone (DBTO2). Therefore, it is of great significance to develop zeolites modified by rare earth elements to complex as functionalized catalysts with molecular oxygen for deep desulfurization of fuel oil, which can be easily done by air or oxygen oxidation without secondary pollution

Abstract:

Methylation of toluene over ZSM-5 zeolites modified by the introduction of Sr of 2.5%, 5%, and 10% by weight was studied. Experiments were performed in a fixed bed under the conditions of reaction temperatures between 300°C-500°C, liquid hour space velocity of 4 g toluene/h.g catalyst, methanol to toluene ratio 4:1, and 0.01% of N-Octyl-N-benzyl-N-methylglycine as emulsifier. Data for conversion of toluene and selectivity towards xylene isomers showed that 2.5% Sr/ZSM-5 catalyst has the highest conversion of toluene at 500°C, and the lowest p-xylene selectivity, while 10% Sr/ZSM-5 catalyst has the highest selectivity for p-xylene production. Nevertheless, the catalyst 2.5% Sr/ZSM-5 has the highest selectivity for m-xylene. The two catalysts 2.5% and 5% Sr/ZSM-5 give nearly the same selectivity for the three xylene isomers at all conversions obtained at the reaction conditions under study.

Abstract: 首次用海泡石为硅源、高岭土为铝源,在水热条件下原位晶化合成NaY分子筛,采用粉末X射线衍射仪、电子扫描电镜等测试手段对所合成样品进行表征分析,着重考察晶化温度和投料配比对产品相对结晶度的影响.研究结果表明,NaY分子筛的形成受晶化温度的影响最大,随温度的升高,产品的相对结晶度显著提高,晶化温度升至100℃时,得到结晶度较高的NaY分子筛晶体.在原位晶化体系中,随n(SiO2)/n(Al2O3)减小,其相对结晶度增大;增加体系的n(Na2O)/n(SiO2)和减小n(H2O)/n(Na2O)都增大产品的相对结晶度;n(SiO2)/n(Al2O3)在投料比影响因素中占主导地位.
