Abstract: We report a case of pleomorphic sarcoma in a 42-year-old man with adult polycystic kidney disease [APKD]. Abdominal ultrasonography, computed tomography and MRI scans have revealed heterogenous bilateral renal cysts with a voluminous mass in the upper pole left kidney. Radical left nephrectomy with histopathologic and immunohistologic examination have confirmed the diagnosis of pleomorphic sarcoma. Sarcoma associated with adult polycystic kidney disease is extremely rare and does not have particular radiological or biological features when compared to primary renal sarcoma.

Abstract:
Langerhans cells histiocytosis (LCH) is a disease caused by the proliferation and abnormal accumulation of Langerhans cells in different tissues and organs. It is a rare disease that still hides many of its mysteries as to its etiology and pathophysiology. The cerebral localization remains exceptional and dominated by hypothalamic-pituitary axis involvement. We report a case of a 20-year-old patient followed for acquired central diabetes insipidus with Panhypopituitarism and multiple dermatological lesions, who recently had visual acuity decline with progressive cerebellar syndrome in a state of apyrexia. Brain MRI showed multiples scattered plaques and nodular lesions involving the periventricular white matter, the basal ganglia, cerebellum, brainstem and cervical medulla. The two diagnoses suggested in this clinical presentation sarcoidosis with pituitary localization and cerebral Langerhans cells histiocytosis. A skin biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of langherans cell histiocytosis.

Abstract:
The authors report three cases of post-traumatic hemobilia. Hemobilia complicates about 0.5% to 2% of liver injuries. The diagnosis can be difficult because of its possible delay of appearance. The ultrasound and CT scan performed urgently are of great help in both positive diagnosis and monitoring of this pathology. Once the diagnosis is made—immediatly or a while after the trauma—a diagnostic and therapeutic arteriography must be carried out quickly.

Abstract: This study presents a simulationmodel of the electric part of a grid connected photovoltaic generator. The model contains a detailed representation of the main components of the system that are the solar array, boost converter and the grid side inverter. A proper control of the DC/DC converter is developed in order to extract the maximum amount of from the photovoltaic generator. The grid interface inverter transfers the energy drawn from the PV module into the grid by keeping common dc voltage constant. The PQ control approach has been presented for the inverter. Modelling and control is carried out using the causal informational graph method. The simulation results under MATLAB/SIMULINK show the control performance and dynamic behaviour of grid connected photovoltaic system.

Abstract: Les tumeurs fi breuses solitaires sont des tumeurs mésenchymateuses qui se développent à partir du tissu conjonctif. Les localisations rénales sont exceptionnelles et à notre connaissance seuls 11 cas ont été rapportés dans la littérature. Nous rapportons une nouvelle observation d\'une tumeur fi breuse solitaire découverte chez une patiente agée de 60 ans à l\'occasion d\'un seul épisode de colique néphrétique. La tomodensitométrie abdominale a révélé une tumeur développée aux dépens du hile rénal. Une néphrectomie élargie a été réalisée et l\'analyse anatomopathologique a mis en évidence une prolifération tumorale fusocellulaire d\'aspect fi breux. Corrosion effect on the flexural strength & micro-hardness of ips e-max ceramics  [PDF]

Abstract: Objectives: The effect of ceramics construction (press- able, machinable) and corrosion on flexural strength and micro-hardness was studied. Materials & Methods: Two types of ceramics were tested: IPS e-max Press and IPS e-max CAD. Forty samples were constructed and divided into 2 groups according to the type of ceramics. Each group was then subdivided into 2 subgroups. Subgroups 1 were not subjected to corrosion while subgroups 2 were subjected to corro-sion test. Finally each subgroup was divided into 2 classes according to the type of test: biaxial flexural strength, micro-hardness. Results: There was a sig-nificant difference between the two tested ceramics as regard weight loss as IPS e-max CAD recorded less weight loss than IPS e-max Press. As regard the flex-ural strength, IPS e-max CAD recorded significant higher strength than IPS e-max Press. Corroded sam- ples recorded significant lower flexural strength than non-corroded samples for the two tested ceramics. As regard the Vickers micro-hardness test, the results showed significant difference between the two tested ceramics. IPS e-max CAD recorded higher mi-cro-hardness values than IPS e-max Press. The results also showed that the corroded samples recorded no significant micro-hardness values than non- corroded samples for the two tested ceramics. Conclusions: IPS e-max CAD recorded less weight loss weight loss after being subjected to corrosion test than IPS e-max Press. The method of fabrication affected the flexural strength µ-hardness of ceramic as machinable ceramic (e-max CAD) recorded significant higher data than pressable ceramic (e-mas Press). Corrosion decreased the flexural strength of both tested ceramics but had no effect on micro- hardness.
Vertical marginal gap & retention of ceramic full coverage & inlay retained ceramic fixed partial dentures  [PDF]

Abstract: Objectives: A comparison study between ceramic full coverage FPDs & 3 designs of ceramic inlay retained FPDs regarding vertical marginal gap & retention. Materials & Methods: Twenty samples were construc- ted and divided into 4 groups according to the type of restorations: full coverage, inlay-shaped (occluso-pro- ximal inlay + proximal box), tub-shaped (occluso-pro- ximal inlay), and proximal box-shaped FPDs. All samples were subjected to a vertical marginal gap measurements followed by a retention test. Results: The vertical marginal gap data showed no significant difference between full coverage FPDs, the tub-shap- ed inlay retained FPDs and the proximal box-shaped inlay retained FPDs. While there was a difference between these three designs and the inlay retained FPDs. Regarding retention, the full coverage FPDs recorded higher retentive strengths and was signifi-cant difference than all inlay retained FPDs designs tested. The inlay-shaped design was significant dif-ference than the other two inlay retained FPDs de-signs. Conclusions: There was no significant differ- ence between full coverage FPDs, tub-shaped & pro- ximal box shaped inlay retained FPDs as regard ver- tical marginal discrepancies. While, the inlay-haped design showed the highest vertical marginal discrep- ancies. The premolar & molar retainers for the same type of restorations showed no difference in vertical marginal discrepancies. All measured vertical mar- ginal discrepancies were in the range of clinical ac- ceptance. The full coverage FPDs recorded higher retentive strengths than all inlay retained FPDs de- signs tested. The inlay-shaped design recorded the highest retentive strengths among the three inlay re- tained FPDs designs. There was no difference as re- gard retentive strengths between tub-shaped & pro- ximal box shaped inlay retained FPDs.
AUTOMATIC SPEECH RECOGNITION SYSTEM CONCERNING THE MOROCCAN DIALECTE (Darija and Tamazight)

Abstract: In this work we present an automatic speech recognition system for Moroccan dialect mainly: Darija (Arab dialect) and Tamazight. Many approaches have been used to model the Arabic and Tamazightphonetic units. In this paper, we propose to use the hidden Markov model (HMM) for modeling these phoneticunits. Experimental results show that the proposed approach further improves the recognition.
GA SPEED AND DQ CURRNETS CONTROL OF PMSM WITH VECTOR CONTROL BASED SPACE VECTOR MODULATION USING MATLAB/SIMULINK

Abstract: In recent years, permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) have gained variety industrial applications, because of simple structures, high efficiency and ease of maintenance. But these motors have a nonlinear mathematical model. To resolve this problem several studies have suggested the application of soft-computing technique. This paper presents vector control of PMSM fed by space vector modulation inverter using genetic algorithm (GA) controllers to improve speed, currents and the electric torque by significantly reducing their ripples, which offer an extra advantage of this study. The proposed method effectiveness has been verified by computer simulations using Matlab/Simulink . These results are compared with the ones obtained with a vector control using PI controllers for speed and current [1] and the second obtained with adaptive controller based speed estimation technique [2].
