Abstract: Purpose: MCF-7 (ER+, WTP53) and MDA-MB-231 (ER Met, Mutant P53) Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester (CAPE) and DNA Methyl Transferase Inhibitor (DNMTi) in breast cancer cell lines of Zebularine (ZEB) single and combined application of TP53, caspase-9, caspase 8 and caspase-3 genes as a result of the use of single and combined drug methylation profiles are aimed to be evaluated by specific PCR method. Material-Metods: In the MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell lines, MTT test and survival analysis were performed as a result of single and combined application of CAPE and Zebularine and Methylation Specific PCR was performed to examine the methylation of caspase-3, caspase-8, caspase-9 and TP53 genes. Results: According to the results of 24-hour drug administration, the IC50 for the MCF-7 cell line was determined as 200 μM, for CAPE 40 μM and for the combined values of 50 μM ZEB + 5 μM CAPE. The effects of caspase-3, caspase-8, caspase-9 and TP53 genes on the methylation level of ZEB, CAPE and ZEB + CAPE drug combination were determined by using bisulfite modified DNAs in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines. Discussion: In the MCF-7 cell line, the 120 μM ZEB viability rate was 51%, and the viability of 80 μM ZEB MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells decreased by 59.7%. After 20 μM CAPE, viability in MCF-7 cells decreased by 31% in 120 μM CAPE and MDA-MB-231 cells decreased by 41%. The viability with 40 μM CAPE decreased by 19% in MDA-MB-231 cells. It was found that 20 μM CAPE concentration was associated with TP53 methylation in MCF-7 cell lines. The 80 μM ZEB concentration was found to be closely related to the unmethylated status of the TP53 gene. These results obtained with 50 μM

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/wsn.2014.64006
Abstract: This paper aims to compare between OSPFv2 and OSPFv3, to explain the impact of the change in OSPFv3 packet format and the over load when OSPFv3 uses IPv6 packet instead of IPv4 packet format that was used by OSPFv2, and the comparison based on common OSPF packets that was sent in the same network.
The Selection of Proper Auxiliary Parameters in the Homotopy Analysis Method. A Case Study: Uniform Solutions of Undamped Duffing Equation  [PDF]
Mustafa Turkyilmazoglu
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/am.2011.26105
Abstract: The present paper is concerned with two novel approximate analytic solutions of the undamped Duffing equation. Instead of the traditional perturbation or asymptotic methods, a homotopy technique is employed, which does not require a small perturbation parameter or a large parameter for an asymptotic expansion. It is shown that proper choices of an auxiliary linear operator and also an initial approximation during the implementation of the homotopy analysis method can yield uniformly valid and accurate solutions. The obtained explicit analytical expressions for the solution predict the displacement, frequency and period of the oscillations much more accurate than the previously known asymptotic or perturbation formulas.
Osteoma of mastoid process obstructing external auditory canal: A case report  [PDF]

Health (Health) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/health.2012.44034
Abstract: Objective: To discuss the surgical treatment of recurrent osteoma of the mastoid process of the temporal bone, that obstructed external auditory canal causing unilateral conductive hearing loss. Setting: The study was carried out in ENT Clinic, University Clinical Center of Kosovo, Prishtina, Kosovo. Design: Retrospective review of a clinical case. Patient, Intervention and Result: We treated surgically with success a 14-year-old boy with osteoma of mastoid process, obstructing the external auditory canal of the left ear and causing conductive hearing loss. Axial and coronal computed tomography scans revealed an compact bone lesion that obstructed the canal. Complete removal of the lesion was achieved by a retroauricular approach. Conclusion: In order to achieve complete removal of the osteoma, drilling of the lesion must be performed not through the tumor, but around the osteoma, in the surrounding bone tissue.
Alternative Approach to Time Evaluation of Schrodinger Wave Functions  [PDF]
Mustafa Erol
Journal of Modern Physics (JMP) , 2012, DOI: 10.4236/jmp.2012.311211
Abstract: Time evaluation of wave functions for any quantum mechanical system/particle is essential nevertheless quantum mechanical counterpart of the time dependant classical wave equation does simply not appear. Epistemologically and ontologically considered time dependant momentum operator is initially defined and an Alternative Time Dependant Schrodinger Wave Equation (ATDSWE) is plainly derived. Consequent equation is primarily solved for the free particles, in a closed system, signifying a good agreement with the outcomes of the ordinary TDSWE. Free particle solution interestingly goes further possibly tracing some signs of new pathways to resolve the mysterious quantum world.
Benelli Mastopeksy Scar Revision Using Vertical Mastopexy Insicion: A Case Report  [PDF]
Mustafa Tercan
Modern Plastic Surgery (MPS) , 2013, DOI: 10.4236/mps.2013.31001
Abstract: Minimal or moderate breast ptosis can be treated with Benelli mastopexy technique in experienced hands. Tightening of the periareolar tissue, inappropraite suture usage, excessive tissue removal lead to severe complications in some patients. Patients with these complications is more than difficult to treat breast ptosis. It needs extra tissue to reduce the tensions in patients with wide circumareolar scar tissue and wide areolary complex. Vertical scar mastopexy technique can be used to treat these type of complications as a scar reduction methods.

Mustafa Kudu
Applied Mathematics (AM) , 2014, DOI: 10.4236/am.2014.513191

The boundary value problem (BVP) for parameterized singularly perturbed second order nonlinear ordinary differential equation is considered. The boundary layer behavior of the solution and its first and second derivatives have been established. An example supporting the theoretical analysis is presented.

Physics , 2012, DOI: 10.1016/j.nuclphysa.2013.02.103
Abstract: During RHIC 2010 run, STAR has collected a large amount of minimum-bias, central and high $p_{T}$ trigger data in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 39$, 62.4 and 200 GeV with detector configuration for minimum photonic conversion background. In this article we report on a new high precision measurement of non-photonic electron mid-rapidity invariant yield, improved nuclear modification factor and $v_{2}$ in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 200$ GeV. We also present measurements of mid-rapidity invariant yield at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 62.4$ and $v_{2}$ at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 39$ and 62.4 GeV.

Surgical Science (SS) , 2011, DOI: 10.4236/ss.2011.27079
Abstract: Hemangiomas and hepatic metastases are the leading reasons of echogenic masses on ultrasound (US) evaluation of the liver. Lipomas of the liver are extremely rare and have been sporadically reported in the literature during the last century. The present report describes a patient with hepatic lipoma together with liver metastases from gastric adenocarcinoma. A 54 years old woman was refered to our department because of abdominal pain. Patient has been operated for gastric adenocarcinoma 3 months ago she was evaluated with US, computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).The abdominal US revealed a 12 × 10 mm echogenic mass with smooth borders in 7th segment of the liver. CT scan showed a hypodense lesion in the same hepatic segment with fat dencity and no contrast involvement. MRI demonstrated the same lesion on T1 and T2 weighted images as hyperintence mass. The final radiographic diagnosis was he-patic lipoma. However, there was metastas in the liver of patient. Patient died 4 months later due to metas-tatic gastric adenocarcinoma. Hepatic lipoma should be kept in mind in echogenic masses on US evaluation of the liver.
Synthesis and Characterization of Ag Nanoparticles Addition on BPSCCO Superconducting Thin Films  [PDF]
Saad F. Oboudi, Mustafa Q. Mustafa
Advances in Nanoparticles (ANP) , 2016, DOI: 10.4236/anp.2016.51009
Abstract: The growth of epitaxial Ag nanoparticles doped (Bi, Pb)-2223 thin films on Si (111) substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and post-deposition oxygen annealing have been achieved. The phase identification and gross structural characteristics of synthesized films explored through X-ray diffractometer reveal that all the samples crystallize in orthorhombic structure. DC electrical resistivity measurements were done by the standard four-probe method and the results showed improvement in Tc by increasing Ag nanoparticles to 1.0 wt% which had a maximum enhancement in Tc for all investigated films. The surface morphology investigated through scanning electron microscope (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) results showed that an increase in Tc with the appropriate Ag nanoparticles addition in the samples is associated with the enhancement of Bi (Pb)-2223 phase formation.
